Taylor Swift Blind Item

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'… She did something so horrible. I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."

Katy Perry must think it is about her because she Tweeted,

Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing...

I wonder if John Mayer is involved in this at all.

  1. She's non-confrontational but she'll write a passive aggressive song about it. That ground isn't much higher, swifty.

  2. Team Taylor! She has more talent and does not rely on her sexuality to sell records. This will be a real Sophies Choice for Reno I suppose

    1. She does rely on her sexuality just in a more girl next door type of way.

  3. She just writes bitchy songs & gives interviews hinting at who it is.

The comment "Not even about a guy" makes most think it was Katy due to them both being with slutbag Mayer.

  5. Oh, god...now I have to pick a different lunch table. And KP's locker is next to my homeroom. I can't even....

  6. Katy is just mad because Taylor is a lady and did not let Mayer use the bathroom all over her lol

  7. The only thing stranger than Taylor's "blind" is Katy's comment.

  8. I thought of Miley. Katy fits too though.

  9. If this were HS Swifty would be the good christian girl that all the teachers just think is so sweet & perfect, but doesn't actually have any friends because she talks shit about all of them behind their backs, & can't figure out why no one likes her.

  10. Taylor has Karlie that's all she needs ; )

John Mayer ruins everything. He broke up with Taylor because she wouldn't take a dump on him and Katy would because Katy figured, "Hey, I get the runs a lot... so, fuck it. Let's party, John!" I'm sure that was the genesis of all this bad blood.

BTW - I blame John Mayer for the Ebola virus and I'm pretty sure he's a member of ISIS. Later, suckholes!

  13. this is just stupid.

  14. Katy is probably jealous that Taylor writes all her own music, and churns out constant hits.

Sorry Katy, your last two songs have been whack.

  15. I smell a "Cruel Intentions" remake.

  16. Yeah so taylor is the bad guy for writing songs about stuff that goes on in her life just like ever other songwriter does. Lol okay. Can't wait until she sells another million albums in the first week. Haters gonna hate

      Too bad!

  18. I don't get how this is a blind item if the person is named as the blind item.

It probably is supposed to be the notorious non-confrontational Katy Perry, though:

  22. A cryptic message to an enemy? How very Facebook of her!

  23. Off the top, pretty strange comments on both their parts. Taylor does sound genuinely uncomfortable and at a loss to understand the situation. Katy Perry's reply sounds defiant and seems to indicate she's the one Taylor is talking about. I think Katy's willingness to deliberately sabotage someone precludes her from being in a position to be warning others. I'd rather be bad mouthed, if that's what started this.

  25. Here's a real shocker: No Popstar writes their own music, including Katy & Swifty, along with Nicky, Bey, RhiRhi, Miley, they are products.

  26. #TeamKaty-her tits shoot whipped cream. Can TayTay do that?

I suggest a mud wrestling match with Count as the referee.

  29. I am so over Katy Perry. She seems to be stuck in a tar pit of bubble gum.

I would love to see her actually grow and change as an artist and a person.

Say what you will about Swifty, she is a smart business woman keeps mostly out of the tabs, and knows how to dress.

Guess that makes me Team TayTay.

  30. I'm not nuts about either, but it seems it started before Mayer/Perry and after Mayer/Swift. Katy had a crush on him before she hooked up with Russell. (Brand was her second choice, I guess). From then they've both been doing the one-upsmanship crap.
    Grow up girls.

By responding, Katy Perry told the world this is about her. If she'd kept her fingers off Twitter, no one would have known. Now we all know what we suspected, that Katy Perry is a BITCH. I'm team Taylor on this one.

  32. I bet these two secretly hatched this plan to create drama.... and will make up very soon.

    They're laughing at us.

  33. jack ducky there is nothing wrong with writing songs about your life but with Taylor it is becoming gimmicky and no true songwriter wants to be seen as that I would think.

I do not deny her remarkable talent and success, but to me, she seems a bit of a control freak pickle up the butt type so she maybe needs to Roar once in a while. Not that I am a big fan of either Swift or Perry.

I enjoy their songs on the rare occasion I listen to music on the radio or see them on a live TV show and Swift is the better live singer for sure, autotuner is Katy's friend.

  34. I assumed it was either Demi or Selena...I think there's a pic of Taylor next to passive in the dictionary!

  35. I read portions of the rest of the article and I have to say Tay comes across very well. As for whether this statement is bitchy, remember it's in context of the interview and the questions, and a good interviewer will get someone to open up. I don't listen to her music, but after that interview I like her!

  37. Seriously though, it was sneaky of Katy to hire Taylor's dancers halfway through her tour. Shame on the 3 that abandoned Taylor too.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yawn. Couple of Mean Girls who just cannot be sure they are queen bee when the other is around.

As for TSwizzle not relying on her sexuality, try that again when she's not pouting on the cover of Rolling Stone soaking wet showing off her nonexistent ass.

John Mayer likes mean girls but he has little to do with this. If it was not him it would be someone else.

    1. It's not her sexuality that sells her music though. Considering her fanbase she doesn't have to be sexy and she still sells more than most other artists.

      Delete
    2. You are blind if you think Taylor's work is not about her sexuality. She does not write about Big Balloons or her Lotus like Katy does but about how she is not like that - and that is sexuality too.

      Delete
  39. Yeah, Swifty trying to transition now with her latest CD & be a sexy mainstream popstar & "actor". That RS cover just made me laugh, it makes me think of when they were trying to make Taylor Launter "a thing" & his RS cover.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well if it isn't abut Katy Perry then she just made it about her. Lots of people think it was directed to Carrie Underwood but I think Katy is the best guess. Love a good feud.

    ReplyDelete
  41. So, what did Katy tweet?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Swifty's image was good christian country music girl, & her songs her about high school topics. The record label didn't want her looking sexy.

Now she's older, now TayTay is being sexualized. Which is why the RS cover in a wet tank top is out now.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Tay was becoming a joke singing about high school still at her age & dressing the way she does.

Her management is trying to mainstream her & sexulize her.

Tay has some arrested development though, she's been too sheltered for too long. I can't read her interviews, she is just such an idiot. She needs some real world experience.

  44. I personally think Taylor Swift is an excellent role model for young girls. We make fun of her...but overall, she's a decent celeb IMO.

I think Katy Perry comes across as a tough girl and to a person's face, would speak her mind. I could see Taylor being a bit catty and sneaky...a little mean girlish. These girls are only human, and I personally think everyone has their quirks and their perks.

I also think John Mayer has EVERYTHING to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Gawd Taylor , let her tyres down or something. Just STFU. Or how about this one .....ignore her !!!!

  46. Sounds more like Xtina.

  47. No one in the real world would think that someone we meet & exchange pleasantries with at a work event is our friend.

I think this just shows how shelter Swift has been.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Taylor will get her own comeuppance when someone (Katy Perry?) finally writes a song shitting all over her, and she won't have grounds to complain, because that's literally all that her songs do to other people.

    ReplyDelete
  49. (I don't get this "Taylor is such a great role model" BS. ALL she does is shit all over other people.)

  53. 1st john is the one who just shits on other people
taylor will get her comeuppance when katy writes a song about her??
no katy writes nothing, she is a product of dr luke and autotune and takes all of his shit because if he didn't work his magic on her she would have no career
katy also stole ROAR from sarah barallis and renamed it roar, she had heard sarahs version and stole it
taylor DOES WRITE ALL HER OWN SONGS and her dad co-owns her record label too so she isn't hurting for money.
taylor also has full support of her family which has to irk the shit out of katy whos family constantly talks shit about katys devil music..

    team taytay

  55. am i the only one who took this as Katy Perry talking about Swifty?!?!? No???!!!

  56. I thriw no shade at swift. Authors and song writers use their life in their writing. Nothing new there. If it was a man, everyone wld be, ahhh, look at him in touch with feelings, thats so touching. But its a woman, so its catty and jejeune. Bollocks. Mb perry did try to screw her over business wise, and if so, she has to take the blowback. Its show BUSINESS folks, as i keep saying.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I can't stand Katy Perry. I hope this is her because her music totally sucks!!!! It just a bunch of shouty annoying music that I wish would GO AWAY!!! It's no wonder all her biggest fans are like 5-years-old, they haven't developed taste yet. I couldn't care either way about Taylor Swift, but at least she has talent.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Both of them, and their shit music make me carsick.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I remember last year that Katy had a few of Taylor's dancers break their contract (while on tour with Taylor) to come dance on her tour. Taylor was forced to find replacements at the last minute. She has a right to be mad.

    ReplyDelete
  60. As is always the case with Swift, the timing of this isn't coincidence. Taylor is very shrewd about her public image (that's not a criticism, by the way, I respect that about her) and she knows that her pattern of high-profile relationships/bearding arrangements was being ridiculed. Hence her metamorphosis into a girls' girl. It's quite brilliant PR, really, because by hanging out with famous and successful young women, she still gets the publicity.
This 'mean girl' story helps shore up the new image, because by passive-aggressively criticizing another woman for being catty and competitive, Taylor, by contrast, looks more female-friendly.
    Well played, Taylor.

This is the old girl vs woman test.

If your s.o. still engages in this type of thing, either starting or responding, she's still just a girl. Women don't play this stupid kiddie school games shit.

Damn, these ladies are pushing 30 or close to it, and still doing this stuff. No wonder their men flee like villagers being chased by Frankenstein.

  64. She may be over 21, but she still acts like she's 13. Passive aggressive little twit.

  66. #teamanyonewhoisnotthesetwo. Neither Katy nor Taylor are great vocalists. Taylor tends to have a monotonic sound that is a somewhat flat when she sings, and Katy---well autotune is her friend. Maybe Katy IS trying to warn us about the wolf in sheep's clothing that is Swifty. Let the mud slinging begin.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Does anyone remember the "Rumors" Album? Fleetwood Mac's record breaking album was filled with angst, cheating, falling in and out of love...with each other. Writing about relationships is nothing new..as for both I think I heard one song from each and frankly I'd rather my grand-daughters listen to Stevie Nicks

    ReplyDelete
  68. ...and none for you, Gretchen Wieners!

  69. redronnie,, i meant to reference fleetwood mac in my above post and forgot.. thanks for posting.. funny how people forget when the mamas and papas wrote all about the affairs within the group as did fm they sold millions and became legends, but swifty does it and she's a mean girl who can't grow up and develop proper coping skills
i think yoj perfectly summed up her strategy to shift from maneater to every girl's girl as a shrewd pr move that women can trust.
let's not forget paul mccartney also rode songs directed at linda's 1st husband too..
the beatles did it too ya'll..

I don't see TS as Regina George. More like Tracy Flick. And yes, she does use her sexuality - as in 'you can't have it'.

And did they photoshop her nipple out of that wet t-shirt on the Rolling Stone cover?
