Producers Slash Prices On Lindsay Lohan Theatre Debut
I guess Lindsay Lohan isn't the draw that producers in London were hoping for in her theatre debut in Speed The Plow. Tickets to the play are now being sold through Groupon and there are no days the play is sold out. It is not like this show is being staged at some monstrous Broadway type theatre. It is a pretty small venue but I just think that people don't even want to waste $20 to go see Lindsay. Why would you? It is a really easy part and she doesn't even have all that many lines in it but chances are the only reason anyone is going is to see her screw up. You can do that just by reading about her for free on the internet. The preview performances begin on Wednesday so that should be fun to read about the next morning.
I'd go but I have tickets to go see paint dry.
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteNobody anywhere in the world believes ho is a star except gossip pages.
ReplyDeleteLindsay has no value except as a hooker and that will fade soon
ReplyDeleteNot a big deal in London. Gillian Anderson’s Streetcar tickets went from £5 (standing) to £35 front row.
ReplyDeleteI saw Gillian's Streetcar broadcast in American last week. NT broadcast the performance in theaters across the US. I have always wanted to see Gillian live on stage. Until she does Broadway this will have to do. Gillian was brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI waiting for her excuses for dropping out.
ReplyDeleteLilo is the only one who believes she's a star.
Why, Richard Schiff? Whyyyyyy?
ReplyDelete@cat I bet she was! She's so talented.
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh poor little Ho-Lohan :( No one of any intelligence or class wants to see her skanky-ass.
I'd rather pay to watch a cucumber grow. (sorry Ho)
Ouch!! Im from London and just FYI, good shows are anything from £50 - £150. If you pay £15 in the west end, its entertainment while you eat your dinner. How embarassing
ReplyDeleteIf I lived in London I would get tickets but knowing my luck it would be one of the many days she bails and has her understudy perform...
ReplyDeleteIs there any cdan in London that is willing to take one for the team and go? We could take up a donation for drinks for you and a friend, since the tickets will be practically free by next week.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I would probably go just in the hopes of seeing her fuck up. But I am awful that way.
ReplyDeleteGod damn it - I bought tickets for this - wish I'd waited. I'm the type who drives at like 2 when there's an accident.. Boy I hope she doesn't cancel. I work at a different London theatre and it'll be a shitstorm!

ReplyDeleteMan the producers must be on crack or heroin to have hired her in the first place.
ReplyDeleteMissBunny....Looks like we have our reporter with Katie Telling. Katie, as you work in the industry, any buzz or rumors you can share?
ReplyDeleteNot heard anything as of yet - I will keep my eyes and ears open though!! XD
ReplyDeleteWho the fuck still hires her? It's mind-boggling that she gets any kind of work outside of whoring.

ReplyDeleteJennifer, I know! WHY would Schiff subject himself to this shit?
ReplyDeleteIt is the same as the Sheen live shows from a couple years ago: you don't go to be entertained, you go hoping to be there if she ODs and dies on stage, so you can sell your cell phone video of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie..and of course a review would be excellent. Thanks for taking the bullet.
ReplyDeleteI'd happily pay £15 or£25 to see LiLo on stage. Call it morbid curiosity if you want...
ReplyDeleteI'm being serious here - if rich men think she's famous and fascinating enough to pay her a lot of money for a night of sex, I would think muggles would be interested enough in her to pay $20 to see her in a play. No?
ReplyDeleteIm surprised because while no one wants sees her as a great thespian, i thought there wld be 2 grps of people who wld want to see her; the oh lets be supportive and give her a chance faction, and the omg cant wait to see her scew up. I mean, the possibilities are endless!!! Forgetting her clothes, her lines, falling over drunk, walking into wall, falling off stage, leaving in middle of play, barfing on stage- i mean c'mon, that has to be worth something! Lol
ReplyDeleteI'm going to London this weekend. It's tempting to "take one for the team" and see the train wreck in person
ReplyDeleteI live in London, and am totally willing to take one for the team.
ReplyDeleteNot.
Why is Richard Schiff in that? *sigh* I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteI would kill to see lilo flop irl..
ReplyDeletePretty soon she's going to sound like the Marge Simpson's sisters, Patty & Selma: http://youtu.be/G2K21UvwBpk
