Off Topic

I'm not sure I'm ready for the onslaught of new fall television shows. I'm going to get behind really quickly.

    1. I agree, sandy - reality is one thing I do not watch. I like comedies & of course, the Walking Dead!

  8. Ive got to try some of the series on the commercial cable networks soon. Not cable but Blacklist was recommended and of course Breaking Bad but I usually stick to premium cable for my series shows.

    1. Sandybrook: I don't think Ray Donovan is airing here yet - I've heard it mentioned. Is this worthy of weekend binge watching in your jammies?

  12. How many murders on Boardwalk Empire last night? I think maybe its time to close that show they made the right decision.

  13. @MontanaM: I am very glad to hear that

    ***Spoilers***
Ok so..Ray may protect his kid for now but no way her shitty account will hold up. The wife and daughters are close to cracking and the side piece cop knows the daughter was present. And now Ray was threatening him at a police station!!! Sloppy sloppy...

They could easily subpoena those traffic camera lights and other CCTV footage to confirm she never left the SUV. And just to really split hairs, the blood evidence could really fuck her over too. Forensic experts look for spatter, pooling, cast off and -ding ding ding- VOIDS. If Marvin's blood spattered on her as shown, there will be a void where her body was spread out in the back seat. #justsaying...

Excellent show! Boredwalk Empire was soooooo baaaaad! Especially since I watched RD first

    1. I was thinking that too about Rd and the back seat being a big empty void of blood. . Um duh!!

    2. Lol
Thanks on both counts sugarbread! You can see the blood spattering around her and the detective knows she's lying!!! Evidence don't lie and no one was there to tamper with the crime scene! The writing is pretty solid so I hope they won't just sweep all of this under the rug.

I never thought I'd fear someone named Cookie!!! Please tell me you only make sugarbread and are not involved in his making!!!

  15. I'm waiting for the new season of Once Upon A Time (it's pretty much the only thing I get to watch,) but I've got most of the kids hooked on Doctor Who, so I may get to watch that in real time, and one started on The Walking Dead.

Otherwise, I just get caught every time I try and watch anything. Seriously, 5AM and a kid walks out while I'm trying to watch the first episode of Game of Thrones. 5AM!!!! Come one! It was a Saturday, GO BACK TO BED!

  16. I really dont hardly any attention to network tv. Its the usual, like 20 new shows, 18 of which are crap and 1 a sleeper hit and one hit. And then networks will wonder why they losing viewers to cable.

  17. I can't wait to see How to Get away with Murder. That's it.

  21. If anyone watches Gracepoint on Fox, please let me know what you think. It's a remake of a British series that went down a storm over here. Unfortunately, the US version has replaced Olivia Colman, who was the best part of the programme.

  23. If it helps anyone, I've already seen two of the pilots: Constantine (which will be redone) and The Flash. The Flash was basically Smallville redux with the cliched sidekicks to boot. It wasn't boring but I won't be watching any more. Constantine was far more enjoyable but they are recasting the female lead so who knows what the new pilot will be like.

The more I know of you, the more I love you.
Olivia is awesome and lovely (have you seen her Bafta acceptance speeches?). She was hilarious in Green Wing, too. If you're interested in her dramatic work, check out TyrannosaurPaddy Considine's directorial debut. It's not for the faint-hearted, though.

  25. None of the new (or returning) shows really sound good. And Mad Men and True Detective aren't airing until next summer. Looks like I'll have a lot of time to catch up on my reading...
