Nev Schulman Expelled From College For Punching A Woman
A story long repeated, but never confirmed was yesterday after Catfish host Nev Schulman was called a hypocrite after a Tweet he sent which said that a real man doesn't punch a woman. Back when he was a junior in college at Sarah Lawrence, Nev was expelled after he punched a woman in the face. No criminal charges were ever filed, but the school found enough evidence to kick him out. In his new book, Nev says the incident was self-defense but reports yesterday from witnesses said that Nev was the aggressor. He was at a party and took a photo of two female students kissing. One of the women pushed his camera out of her face and Nev reached back and threw a punch which knocked her to the ground. A friend of Nev's claims that Nev had no idea the person he punched was a woman because it was a party where women dress as men and men dress as women. Considering how close he was to the two kissing that the woman could actually touch Nev's camera seems to contradict Nev's account. His brother previously claimed that Nev actually dropped out of college.
I love the show Catfish but I never believed for one sec this dude was str8. He pings my gaydar bigtime
ReplyDeletemanorexia and oppressed homosexuality and a bad tramp stamp will make a guy lash out
ReplyDeleteNev, comb your hair. I thought the other guy on the show was his boyfriend for the longest time.
ReplyDeleteTsk, tsk...fluff up your chest pelt and keep an eye on your own history before you mouth off, dumbass.
ReplyDeleteDos hair comments FTW
ReplyDeletethe other guy on the show with the grey hair is kinda cute---
ReplyDeleteNev has a tramp stamp?? Sad.
ReplyDeleteOMG I FRIGGIN THOUGHT THE SAME THING, lmao @lotta
ReplyDeleteAlso if you look closely you can see Nev has dandruff!!! lol so gross
ReplyDeleteHe calls it a "champ stamp" =\

I'd rather read about Neve Campbell.
ReplyDeleteA tramp stamp??? Did he turn in his man card in exchange??
ReplyDeleteDid he actually do anything for a living before "Catfish"?
ReplyDeleteHe comes accros like some of these kids I work with that think they should have a vp title & an office already, but don't have the experience & get emotional at work & some don't even have a BA.
champ sta
ReplyDeleteI just can't
Wow he was so cute in Catfish and he didn't ping my dar at all..Shit now I need to find a Sharper Image to get a new one. Do they even exist anymore? I suspect I'll need to find one on ebay.
ReplyDeleteHate to hear when anyone punches a woman. Sad.
I wonder, in his mind, just how intelligent and talented he sees himself?
ReplyDelete@Montana...I agree. I love Catfish but always thought that both hosts were gay. Only thing is, Nev actually made a movie about his catfish experience with a girl.
ReplyDeleteEither way...this story is dumb. There are so many versions flying around, it's hard to tell who is telling the truth or just looking for publicity from Nev's new found fame.
Catfish?
ReplyDeleteI love Catfish but he always seems soooo fake. Isn't his hair in the pic just perfectly adorable the way it's slightly messy? And a tramp stamp lolllll
ReplyDeleteGood. How I wish internet were a thing at the times when Penn abused Madonna. He would be Oscar-less and public shamed and maybe doing drugs and hookers under a bridge with Charlie Sheen (although he does that already)
ReplyDeleteNo the other guy in Catfish is marroed to a pretty brazillian girl!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of him.
ReplyDeleteWhy was he being pervy & taking pictures of people kissing anyway? He thought he was taking one of two dudes kissing & wanted to add it to his spank material?
ReplyDeleteAlways thought he was gross and overly melodramatic.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he should have said intentionally punch a woman. In this PC world, you have to be all precise and shit. AMRITE?!?
ReplyDeleteWell he did bring this on himself with that stupid tweet of his. No sympathy from me.
ReplyDeleteLong-time reader, and very sporadic commenter here. However, this one got me because I was there that night when Nev Schulman punched a girl in the face, which I say deliberately because there was absolutely no question to anyone at the party that Nev Schulman punched a girl in the face.
ReplyDeleteThe response to the fight was so immediate, and it happened so quickly, but there was never any doubt about what happened -- unless your name is Nev Schulman, in which case it was "self defense." He scurried out of there pretty quickly afterward, but the adults in charge at the party were looking for "the guy who punched the girl in the face," not "someone who might have been defending himself." Not sure how else to say that ~everyone there saw it.~
In circles of people who were at Sarah Lawrence while he was there, this story has been alive for 8 years and is not at all a shock. So @crila16 this is not at all a publicity grab -- especially since the victim in question spoke to Vulture anonymously. This is simply karma.
I don't think Nev is gay. The reason for the show is he fell in love with a girl online, then found out his dream girl was an invention of a completely different person.
