Maybe They Had Sex- Maybe They Didn't
Django Unchained actress Danielle Watts had a very busy weekend. She also got more publicity than she has ever received her entire life. After a meeting with a director on Thursday afternoon, the actress walked back to her car and began making out with her boyfriend. No one disputes that part of the incident. According to multiple witnesses, the pair actually had sex with her straddling her boyfriend. How did everyone get such a good look? They left the car door open the entire time. After they finished, Danielle then called her dad. Yeah, I don't get that part either. Is that the first thing that popped in her head? Meanwhile, at least one of the witnesses called police. They showed up and Danielle refused to show i.d, and refused to cooperate and walked away from the scene.
Do I think the police saw Danielle, an African American woman and her white boyfriend and thought she was a hooker? Yep. Do I think that is profiling? Yep. Danielle was brought back to the scene by a police officer and cuffed. Danielle then threw out the fame card, race card and even said she wanted her publicist. I know, I know, not quite as dramatic as Natasha Lyonne wanting her entertainment lawyer, but right up there. Danielle's boyfriend was really cooperative. Police had no proof the pair had sex so let them go, but Danielle says she hired a lawyer and wants to sue for being injured by too tight handcuffs and racial profiling.

it was a stupid thing to do
ReplyDeleteSo now Ive heard of you Danielle. Next time get a room.
ReplyDeleteWhat a mess.
ReplyDeleteShe looks low rent tbh.
DeleteMaybe it was her publisists idea
ReplyDeleteI'm all for open air sex, but it is not worth the risk. If you are caught and there is a child anywhere near that COULD HAVE seen you, you can be arrested for sex crimes against a child.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Enty's version so vastly different from the one that Michael K wrote yesterday?
ReplyDeleteAudrey all other news sources state the couple were kissing. Not having sex. This really effs me off about Enty. Painting her to be at fault when she is in fact the victim. SHAME ENTY.
DeleteSeriously get a room
ReplyDelete@Audrey : I'm gonna have to check Dlisted to compare/contrast
I dont like the tone of your blog enty. First of all,you appear to be blaming her based on allegations not proof.i could understand your rush to condemn her if it had been indubitably proven that she had engaged in these acts and still behaved that way. Also where is your rush to judgement on the guy who was caught in this debacle. They were fully clothed when the police arrived and she claimed they were making out in the car and that is all. I think it was racial profiling tbh.
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously to racial profile with all the mixed couples in california is ridiculous ... I dont blame the cop for answering the call because he was doing his job but to handcuff her . Thats just ridiculous. Go arrest some resl criminals, please.
DeleteTotes agree eros
DeleteShe refused to give the officers her ID, which is why the whole situation happened, and even said in an interview that I watched this morning that she only did it so the story would go public.
ReplyDeleteShe also said she studied the law and understood freedom (?) and didn't have to give the officer her ID. The news anchor pointed out that in California, yes, police officers can ask for your ID and you have to give it. She doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb.
The news anchor in her interview this morning (quite rightly) said she wanted to remind anyone watching that the ACLU says that you should always give your ID to a officer when asked, instead of escalating the situation. Danielle was like "uh, um...ok".
And by the way, no, you shouldn't be having sex in your car in a public place.
There are so many real heroes of African-American descent in this country - teachers, doctors, coaches, social workers, activists, businesspeople.
ReplyDeleteSo tired of jokers like this being held up as some kind of civil rights hero. Can't we focus on people who inspire others, people who matter?
@Audrey
ReplyDeleteI'm asking myself the same question.
Enty has many details that i saw nowhere
There are numerous witnesses that they had sex and nobody recorded it? I call bullshit cause people would be quick to record that shit whether they knew she was famous or not.
ReplyDeleteOk I did not realize they were having sex pretty much in public, another news outlet inferred they were kissing in public. The latter is not against the law the former is, lewd conduct.
ReplyDeleteAudrey - even the LA Times didn't allude to her having sex - just making out with her boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Enty just gave us a clue to an old blind, with this line: "not quite as dramatic as Natasha Lyonne wanting her entertainment lawyer, but right up there."
Irregardless of whatever they were doing the car, this situation only happened because she refused to give her ID when asked. The officer had a requirement to check up on the complaint they received.
ReplyDeleteOnce she finally gave her ID after causing all that hoopla, the officer said something like " if you had just given me this in the beginning, I could have been gone 15 minutes ago."
If you watch any live interviews with this person, it comes across quite clearly that she was trying to create a situation she could publicize.
there is no proof they were having sex. enty is literally the only person I've seen even elude to that. also you don't have to give your fucking id if you don't want to. cops don't have a right to just harass you which is what this is.
ReplyDeleteUuuhh. You may want to re check your facts there...this IS on other sites, and you DO have to give ID when asked. Is CDAN seriously you peoples primary news source?
DeleteOr, dont give your ID and see how far that gets you- like here, where your probably gona get alot of exposure you dont want. So theres that.
DeleteRosie when I posted this it wasn't on other sites so you can calm the attitude and no it is not required by law for you to give your Id unless you're under arrest. I've looked this up due to my own experiences thank you.
DeleteActually, legally, yes you do have to give your ID to an officer when asked.
ReplyDeleteCalifornia does not have "stop and identify" laws. So, no, she did not have to show her ID, unless she was in the commission of a crime. This is likely why it was claimed the officer believed she was a hooker. If the cop did indeed believe this, then it is profiling - if a couple of white college kids PDA went too far, I doubt the cops would accuse the girl of being a hooker.
ReplyDeleteHR lady, Actually unless you're under arrest which according to the lapd she was not then no you're not required to give your ID. You're not required to do anything but not assault the office which to my knowledge she didn't.
ReplyDelete*officer
ReplyDeleteI thought it was her husband not boyfriend. Not that it matters but Enty, just stop trying to anger people into commenting more.
ReplyDeleteSex in the car? With the door open? Wth?! I wld think it was because they were having sex in public, not that she may be a hooker, that was the problem. I think u rr reading into the rest. As for her not cooperating with police, thats just atupid.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.justjared.com/2014/09/15/django-unchaineds-daniele-watts-was-allegedly-having-sex-in-public-listen-to-police-audio/
ReplyDeleteThe audio of the call with all the details.
SHE's WRONG and SHE'S IDIOT
Perhaps maybe she was cuffed because she was acting like a nut!
ReplyDelete@The Knockout Drop I totally agree with you.
Sounds to me like a setup. It sounds like she and her BF went out of their way to make certain people would see them having sex, probably in the hope that someone would call the police, with a big payday resulting from whatever charges of "ill-treatment" the pair can dream up.
ReplyDeletePICTURES OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine a bunch of people standing around watching two people having sex in a car and not filming it, if just for their own fun later.
I also don't believe the police can demand ID from a citizen without cause. This is a democracy. A person has to be committing a crime and then be read their rights first.
^^ This!!
DeleteMy logic is I need to see penetration or at least complete nakedness, then I will believe that shit.
If they were making out and really getting into it, grinding, dry humping , that can look like sex. So unless someone steps forth and says I saw his penis penetrate her vagina, its all fucking bullshit to be frank.
Exactly Essie. God the crowd here sound like they'd lynch someone on the basis of a mega dodgy, rarely true gossip blog manned by functionally literate (barely) enterns who work for a lawyer who has no celebrity connections, is full of shit, and no longer writes this blog. Which is okay for facile time wasting. God I can hear the JUDGEY villagers approaching with pitchforks and torches.
Delete@French Girl, thanks. The cop did have the right for ID, because a "crime," ie, lewd acts had been alleged. The specific crime is key. Recall the "stop and identify" situation that was in the news a fewe weeks ago, the "crime" the cops were basing the ID on was the guy, who was black with dreads, sitting in a public place - which was claimed be private.
ReplyDeleteRealize, anyone can call and claim you are committing a crime and the police can demand ID or even arrest you. I do get nervous with over-zealou police prosecution of tips by "anonymous" callers. Unchecked police power in these situations can lead to some scary abuse.
There was no sex.
ReplyDeleteHere's a link from this morning, including an interview with the couple.
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/django-unchained-actress-tells-cnn-why-she-didnt-give-condescending-lapd-officer-her-id/
THANK YOU SURFER! sheesh! Enty I hope she sues your ass. You are spreading lies.
DeleteI want to hear from person who called in this "crime." This is the problem with anonymous calls. There should be a recording of what was actually called in.
ReplyDeleteDid the cops say that they thought she was a prostitute because she's black with a white guy? Is that just speculation? If so, that's not right. I've also seen a lot of white prostitutes. I don't think color has anything to do with this.
ReplyDelete...also, I'm white and my boyfriend at the time was white...and we totally got busted having sex in the car when I was younger. That was a horrible day. 3 police cars showed up and blocked the car. I'd never gotten dressed so fast in my life. We got in so much trouble. Apparently it's illegal to have sex in a car in a public place.
What can I say...I was young and horny.
She seems ultra classy
ReplyDeleteDon't understand why she wouldn't just give her ID, unless she was embarassed at being caught, or deliberately trying to be difficult. If a cop asked me for my ID, I'm going to give it, not claim he's infringing on my civil rights. And the cop said in the video, "if you'd given this to me I'd have been gone 15 minutes ago." She's an idiot, whether she was having sex in her car or not, for not doing what was asked by a cop who was responding to a call. He didn't just stop by the car, someone called it in.
ReplyDeleteAnother gray-only yjinkg i can think of she was high. Otherwise makes no sense.
DeleteHot mess alert
ReplyDeleteSo she refused to produce identification and then walked away from the officers, and she wonders why she was handcuffed? This seems to be a recurring theme in the news these days. "Gee officer, I wasn't doing anything wrong, so I don't have to show you my ID (which is the law, BTW) and I can disobey your orders and walk away whenever I feel like it. Plus I can put up a struggle when you try to handcuff me because I'm refusing to comply with your requests (the only way she would ever have gotten a scratch midway up her arm during the handcuffing procedure)." Thing is, every person breaking the law feels the exact same way. There is a huge black community in the Culver City area so she can't complain the Culver City PD doesn't deal with black people every day. My guess is she tried to pull the "Don't you know who I am?' card and it backfired on her.
ReplyDeletePeople - police officers cannot demand your ID without cause! IT IS NOT THE LAW. Do a search on Stop and ID, Stop and Detain.
ReplyDeleteFrom a common sense point of view, yes, it's probably easier to relinquish your Constitutional rights at the moment. But, if a police officer asks for your ID and you are not suspected of a specific and articulable crime, such a demand is illegal!
My question is did the officer asked her BF for his ID? We know the officer asked the BF for HERS, didn't even have the decency to speak to her directly. So if the call was about a couple having sex in public shouldn't the couple be treated the same?
ReplyDelete@Crila - when you got busted for having sex, did the officers accuse you of being a prostitute?
ReplyDeleteI caught that too, @surfer. So E is implying he was once Natasha Lyonne's lawyer? I guess she was making out her will.
ReplyDeleteWho dresses so trashy to an interview with a director? She obviously hasn't got a lot of sense.
ReplyDelete@Fek Yes, he asked both of them and the bf/hubs gave it to him right away.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone here listen to the tapes on TMZ? The cop did ask the boyfriend for his ID and he complied. She phoned her daddy (really, what grown woman calls her father, "daddy?"). The police officer did talk directly to her and she IMMEDIATELY pulled the race card and mentioned her publicist. She sounded like an entitled idiot. If she was having sex in her car, it was an illegal act. If she didn't, she could have handed over her ID and cleared the matter up in a few minutes. It isn't the police officer's fault that someone reported them having sex in a car. He spoke to her in a matter she deserved because she obviously wasn't acting reasonably. Supposedly, eye witnesses saw them having sex in the car with the door open and using tissues to clean up after. That isn't quite making out.
ReplyDeleteI can't understand why anyone would refuse to show an officer your ID when asked. Is it a "stick it to the man" situation? If you have nothing to hide, what's the problem?
ReplyDelete99% of police officers are out there doing a dangerous and difficult job to protect us. Unfortunately, the other 1% seems to have given people the right to disrespect all law enforcement.
I got "caught" after in a park. The last person I was calling was my father. And I am very, very white... and so was my boyfriend (at the time). Totally got in trouble. I felt bad after, I should have been more responsible- but I still got into trouble & learned a lesson. Public sex is not appreciated.... unless you're the one in the act ;)
ReplyDeleteSide eyeing the he'll out you Enty.
ReplyDeleteThis does not paint her in a very good light. With all the actual racial profiling going on she pulled the "do you know who I am" card? I watched Django Unchained several times and I have no idea who she is. Should have just shown her ID and explained that the man was her boyfriend or husband. No need to make a scary situation worse as police are very prone to shooting black people at the drop of a hat
ReplyDelete@Catsup...did the cops call her a hooker? I don't see it in the article. From reading the article Enty wrote, it sounds like Enty is just speculating. Maybe I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteHere's the latest (from TMZ). I'm thinking she should have just walked away quietly and never told anyone about this lol.
ReplyDeleteTMZ
@crila - supposedly she was accused of being a hooker. Who knows.
ReplyDeleteThinking about it more, I realize (if it's true) having sex in the middle of the day in a parked car in a busy neighborhood, is hooker-ish.
I still would like to hear the original call.
How convenient the cops now have tapes when yesterday they told variety they had nothing
ReplyDeleteWell, yeah, it took the 24 hours to find a cameraman, & stand-ins, & crew for a location shoot, to make a tape to set up the poor, innocent girl and her john. Errr, I mean, her boyfriend. *HEAVY SARCASM INTENTIONAL*
DeleteI'm against police misconduct, HOWEVER they weren't wrong here. I have no idea whether or not they were having sex. They responded to a call( which they tell her on the TMZ tapes). That is probable cause to demand identification. She acted like a brat.First she's talking to her daddy, them they're racist, then don't they know who she is.
ReplyDeleteNatasha Lyonne is far more interesting to me than this lady. Hopefully someone who isn't at work right now and has excellent sleuthing skills can figure out what that comment was in reference to.
ReplyDeleteSurfer - I think Enty's referring to Natasha's 2001 DUI arrest.
ReplyDelete@Catsup...yeah...when I got busted, it was at night and in a suburb.
ReplyDeleteI feel so cheap.
Lmao just heard the audio tape. Both Messy
ReplyDeleteMs Watts, meet your new bff, al sharpton
ReplyDeleteI'm going to get shit for saying this but I think this wreaks of Hugh grant and hookergate with divine brown.. I think either she set this up for pr to get her name out there because she's tired of being in the background of other actresses. ..or..
ReplyDeleteShe's that Stupid... She was at cbs production studios in the valley , right next to the director's guild . The valley is where all the porn is filmed.. If you're having sex in a car in front of cbs studios and the director's guild in daylight during Hollywood casting working hours. What kind of jobs is she trying to book..
The officers responded to a lewd conduct call fitting her description. . They were within their rights to ask for id because a complaint had been called in. They weren't walking by and asking all girls in short skirts for their id. This was a lewd conduct call. If she had just shown her id this would be a non story. But the fact that She.. She.. escalated the drama made it a story.. Not racial profiling.. She Escalated the situation by not co operating. And now people know her name..
1.. but do you think anyone in Hollywood wants to work with someone who would behave like this??
2. Does anyone in Hollywood want to work with someone who would still defend her actions as racist afterwards. . She screams entitled and difficult to casting directors now..
Fire away.. I know I just pissed some people off but I'm entitled to my opinion. .
There was a case recently where a couple was having full on PIV intercourse on a crowded Florida beach. They went at it for maybe 20 minutes, cooled off and started again.
ReplyDeleteThere were children around. At least until their parents removed them and called the police.
Some still photos were taken, not sure about video.
Anyway the couple was arrested and booked.
As they should have been.
If this is TRUE, they should have been arrested. I don't care if it's kids or my middle-aged ass, I insist that society have SOME standards and one of them includes not having to glimpse people having intercourse in public.
By the way, she'd better be really careful what she says about this ub terms of getting all sanctimonious about it, before she's 100% sure videos or photos are not going to surface showing an obscene act.
ReplyDeleteOf course she could argue that when the police arrived they didn't know whether or not a lewd act had occurred, and they should have treated her with the same respect they gave her boyfriend. Which according to her, they didn't.
Just listened to the police audio. She's an entitled little nobody who thinks she's a somebody in Hollywood. If I didn't know from the story (and from the words on the audio) that she was black, I'd assume she was white and just infected with that false sense of importance that anybody gets in Hollywood when they've managed to get one rung up on the food chain and they have an actual publicist - oooh, I'm so impressed.
ReplyDeleteThen she wants the father to talk to her father whom she continuously refers to as "daddy." She puts her daddy on speakerphone and gets offended when the officer doesn't want to talk to daddy.
Wow. NO SYMPATHY HERE.
The officer kept his cool, to his credit. He almost seemed amused.
After she walked off in a huff he said to her boyfriend "I'd already be gone!" (meaning if she had just showed ID)
Granted it's her right not to. But still...
sorry, wants the officer to talk to her father.
ReplyDeleteOh, and to clarify, no you don't have to give your ID in California, but if you refuse to give it, the cop has the right to detain you until he can determine your identity.
ReplyDeleteSo now it's racial profiling to assume when you behave like a whore you might just be a whore? Okay. LMAO
ReplyDeleteI looked a the list of credited actors for Django Unchained on imdb.com - there are 81 actors listed and her name is 63rd on the list.
ReplyDeleteWow, she's more important than 18 other people who appeared in Django Unchained.
And that's the only movie she's ever been in.
Her IMDB page has ALREADY been updated with this information:
"Was accosted by Los Angeles Police, who mistakingly thought she was a prostitute [September 14, 2014]."
MISTAKINGLY?
I wonder who updated her bio ...
I sometimes submit edits to IMDB pages so I submitted this one to hers:
ReplyDelete"9/14/14 was detained by LAPD after they were called by witnesses claiming to see two people engaged in a sex act in a car. Refused to give her ID and walked away, so she was placed in handcuffs and detained until she could be identified, then she was released."
I prolly shoulda said she was with her boyfriend - unintentional oversight.
And, here's her full rant on her Facebook page. She'll be comparing herself to Rosa Parks any day now.
ReplyDeleteNotice how she lies about why she was handcuffed. The police didn't ask her to admit that she had "done something wrong" - they asked her to identify herself.
Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place.
When the officer arrived, I was standing on the sidewalk by a tree. I was talking to my father on my cell phone. I knew that I had done nothing wrong, that I wasn’t harming anyone, so I walked away.
A few minutes later, I was still talking to my dad when 2 different police officers accosted me and forced me into handcuffs.
As I was sitting in the back of the police car, I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated or humiliated by the cops when he had done nothing wrong. I felt his shame, his anger, and my own feelings of frustration for existing in a world where I have allowed myself to believe that “authority figures” could control my BEING… my ability to BE!!!!!!!
I was sitting in that back of this cop car, filled with adrenaline, my wrist bleeding in pain, and it occurred to me, that even there, I STILL HAD POWER OVER MY OWN SPIRIT.
Those cops could not stop me from expressing myself. They could not stop the cathartic tears and rage from flowing out of me. They could not force me to feel bad about myself. Yes, they had control over my physical body, but not my emotions. My feelings. My spirit was, and still is FREE.
I will continue to look any “authority figure” in the eye without fear. NO POLICE OFFICER OR GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ME. WE ARE EQUALS. I KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE FREE BECAUSE THAT IS THE NATURE OF MY SPIRIT.
And moreover, I deeply enjoyed connecting with the cops who detained me. I allowed myself to be honest about my anger, frustration, and rage as tears flowed from my eyes. The tears I cry for a country that calls itself "the land of the free and the home of the brave" and yet detains people for claiming that very right.
Today I exist with courage, knowing that I am blessed to have experienced what I did today. All of those feelings, no matter how uncomfortable. These feelings are what builds my internal strength, my ability to grow through WHATEVER may happen to me.
That internal knowing is what guides me in this world. Not the law, not fear, not mistrust of government or cops or anything else.
In this moment there is a still small voice whispering to me. It says: You are love. You are free. You are pure.
Prunella, that wasn't a Facebook rant. That was the transcript of her audition for 12 Years a Slave: Part Two
DeletePrunella: just curious. Have you sourced information from any other credible news sources? They all seem to not mention sexual intercourse. Rather, that she and her boyfriend were fully clothed. Her boyfriend claims he was questioned in a manner insinuating she was a prostitute.
DeleteCheck youtube. There's so many videos shot on people's phone cameras of sex or messing around in public places.
Also, she's a young actress and you're slagging off her career?
Do your research first before you become filled with (not so) righteous indignation and go off half cocked. Where's the arrest if they were indeed having sex? Or a grainy photo at least.
Or a witness statement?
An actual charge?
Take a valium, have a nice cup of tea and chill out doll. Xx
@Kat - hee!
ReplyDeleteI think she needs to go on tour with Kanye West.
Her boyfriend is hot! He's a celebrity vegan chef. He calls himself a RAWK STAR. Kind of a cool pun.
Is it mean of me to really REALLY *R*E*A*L*L*Y* hope that this time there's video?
Cuz she's full of shit. I heard there were TONS of witnesses. And people don't just call the police if two people are being "affectionate" in a car.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHere's a photo from 6 days ago on her boyfriend's instagram:
ReplyDeleteTalk About Curves (his caption, not mine)
(deleted and reposted to fix hyperlink - forgot the second quote)
Jealous are we? I think she looks great and her boyfriend obviously adores her.
Delete@Bee, you're inferring a lot from my posting a photograph from her boyfriend's intagram since I didn't - you know - actually COMMENT on the photograph.
ReplyDeleteI really don't think that in liberal Los Angeles somebody would call the cops about two people kissing in a car.
So yes, I am inclined to think they were going at it.
Which is gross.
And for the last time, YES, in California you have to identify yourself when the police have probable cause, which they did because somebody called them to report a lewd act. Probable cause doesn't mean the person is guilty, it just means they have probable cause to INVESTIGATE and potentially DETAIN SUSPECTS.
When the police have probable cause and ask you to identify yourself and you refuse (which is your right) then they have the right to detain you until they can identify you.
The police went by the book in this case.
And the two people arrested for having sex on the beach in Florida? Both WHITE. And no, the police did not witness the acts, but just as in this case, went on the basis of citizen complaints.
I have not seen any witness statements because apparently the police are not trying this case in social media, unlike Ms. Watts and her boyfriend.
I imagine TMZ will scare up some witnesses in the next few days.
And @Bee Haven, you must have led a sheltered life if you think people can't have intercourse with their clothes on. And yes, I would expect them to be fully clothed once they exited the car after the deed was done.
ReplyDeleteYes. That must be it Prunella. Rather than believing in more factual notions and sources, as opposed to the tripe served up here by faceless twits, I must be sheltered. As opposed to someone as wise and worldly as yourself.
DeleteExcuse me. I'm off to find the end of a rainbow with my best sunday bonnett, my pet lamb and a daisy chain adorning my golden locks. Tra la la la *fart noise*
cops have video, she was being a complete See You Next Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing I thought when I heard someone called them in, in Hollywood you have to be do something pretty outlandish for people to notice you that much. There's so much weird shit that goes on, people have blinders to the normal weird shit. You have to pretty much be fucking straight up out in front of everybody to warrant attention, and it seems they were.
ReplyDeleteActually my "righteous indignation" was over her self-martyrship and self-important attitude based on a pretty thin resume. I'm going to call my publicist! Here, talk to my Daddy! And the Facebook rant? OMG she's Joan of Arc and Rosa Parks rolled into one person.
ReplyDeletePuh-leeze.
And @Bee Haven, you're hanging out on a gossip blog that is based on unsubstantiated rumors so - really - pot, meet kettle. If you think that's a bad way to spend your time then stop clicking on CDAN and putting money in Enty's pocket.
Ummmmm Prunella darling, your anger is showing just like a tampon string. Settle petal! I already CLEARLY stated my opinion of "Enty". You may care to ease your flaming rage and actually read what I said precious. Xx
DeleteHere's her boyfriend posting on her FB page - he's practically GIDDY with excitement about this. In another FB comment he says that the police let them go when they realized she's as "celebrity" and he's a "celebrity chef." Wow, they're a perfect couple!
ReplyDelete[snip]
Thank y'all!! We are in contact 3 big lawyers referred, ACLU, NAACP and our publicist has us in contact with media about it too and we're supposed to hear back.
[/snip]
@Bee, or should I call you Intrepid Girl Reporter, how about you cite some of those "factual notions and sources?" Because frankly I haven't seen anything on either side that proves anything, although I was interested to listen to the actual AUDIO TAPE of the police talking to Ms. Watts.
ReplyDeleteAnd what anger would that be? Anger at what? This is a celebrity blind site, we mock narcissistic celebrities. You may be confusing mockery with anger.
And as for mentioning a t***** string? Classy. Really classy.
You know what? I just realized something. Thank you @bee haven. I am angry.
ReplyDeleteI'm angry that a ridiculous, entitled, self-called "celebrity" (whom none of us had ever heard of) who has SEX in a car in a public location to the obvious disgust of complete strangers who could SEE it, had a hissy fit when a police officer asked her for her ID and all of a sudden she and her "celebrity chef" boyfriend (whom none of us had also everR heard of) ... are calling the NAACP and the ACLU and hiring lawyers and suing the LAPD and rallying knee-jerk politically correct liberal morons behind them. And now whats-her-name is acting like she's Rosa Freaking Parks, fer chrissakes.
We do not live in a police state, people. We live in a free country that also happens to have LAWS. And the laws say it is not legal to commit an act of public lewdness, and the laws say that the police can ask you for your ID if they have probable cause, and the laws say that if you refuse (which is your right) then you can be detained until the police can ascertain your name.
There ARE police states out there, places where people are arrested, detained, tortured and even murdered by the police/government. No due process, no Miranda rights, no "please maam what is your name."
The United States is not one of them.
And little miss "talk to my Daddy and I want to refer you to my publicist" - I bet if she was mugged or her house was burgled, she'd be on the phone lickety-split to those self-same police wanting their help.
I would hate to be a police officer in the United States these days because they are unjustly reviled for doing their job.
Listen to the audio tapes of the incident and then tell me which person kept his cool, and which one was behaving like a complete BRAT.
And now because she refused to show her ID, she and her idiot boyfriend think the NAACP and ACLU should rally to their cause?
Yes, I'm angry about that.
She should go and spend the summer in any Middle Eastern country (but be sure to wear a burka and whatever you do don't hold your boyfriend's hand let alone fuck him in public) ... and then come back to the United States and KISS THE GROUND and be glad she lives in such a free society.
whatever you do, DO NOT CALL HER A SLUTBUCKET!!!
ReplyDeleteWhew!! do not go in there!!!!
Interesting:
ReplyDeleteUpdate
[snip]
""They were f—ing. He was in the passenger seat with his legs outside," Parker says, paraphrasing a call from someone at the Art Directors Guild office, complaining about employees watching a couple having sex in a car in broad daylight with the door open, complete with a description of the make and license plate of the car and description of the couple and what they were wearing. He says at least one witness took a photo. "People don't make this shit up."
Parker says he didn't plan on arresting the couple, who he says were no longer engaged in intercourse, and standing outside the car; she was on the phone. "People having sex in the car, no biggie. No one wants to arrest anybody," Parker says. "And he [Lucas] said, 'Oh I have her passport.' He was wearing two tourist bags around his neck and I assumed he had hers. She was feigning disinterest, but I could tell she was listening in. Then as you hear on the recording, she starts making a fuss, and quite frankly I don't need to see her ID but she does have to ID herself."

I cannot WAIT for TMZ to post the witness's photo. Then maybe Daniele Watts will shut the fuck up. But I doubt it.
ReplyDeletePrunella: I like your name, and passion. We can agree to disagree. It was my opinion, nothing personal. Truce?
Delete@Bee Haven, nothing personal here either. I like a spirited debate/argument. Truce!
ReplyDeleteAnd ... I kinda figured somebody took pictures, and kinda figured TMZ would eventually buy and post them, and they did.
The pictures aren't as probative as I might like, but the witness account is pretty clear.
Apparently somebody actually went down and asked them to stop and they didn't!
What do you think

ReplyDeleteAfter reading a lot of news coverage including some op-eds that went into the legal aspect of things, I have come around to believe that Daniele Watts was probably right - on the law.
However, I still think she's an entitled overly dramatic diva/brat and if she wants to snog her boyfriend she should do it at home.
Unfortunately for her, civil rights advocates are lining up to call her out as a liar and tell her she should apologize both to the LAPD and to their community.
Civil Rights Leaders Demand Apology
Methinks she envisioned herself as the Rosa Parks of 2014 Los Angeles, and was not expecting that.
Well, she has done something for race relations in Los Angeles, apparently, as everyone is uniting - against HER.
And for the rest of her life she'll be THAT person. Hope her career survives this.
It just gets worse for Daniele Watts:
