Kenny Rogers Says He Never Had Sex With Dolly Parton

Back in the day before Kenny Rogers sang on GEICO commercials he and Dolly Parton seemed like they did everything together. While she has remained larger than life and one of the most mysterious celebrities when it comes to her private life, Kenny Rogers has been much more forthcoming and open. That hasn't changed and he finally talks about his relationship with Dolly Parton in an interview with Dan Rather airing tonight on some outlet I have never heard of that no one will watch. Kenny says that he never had sex with Dolly despite all the rumors they had because they didn't want to ruin their friendship. I guess that means that one or both of them was willing to have sex with the other despite them both being married to other people for much of their heavy flirting or as Rogers described it,"excessive flirting." I would expect an answer more in the line of we were both married so we didn't, not because they didn't want to ruin their relationship. Is anyone even sure if Dolly Parton's husband even exists? It is harder to get a photo of them together than when Chris Martin and The Goopster were being their most elusive, but at least we knew both of them existed. Although, yes I will grant you that when Gwyneth was at her most macro-biotic she did look she would disappear at any point just from a lack of eating.

    Can't see them getting busy with each other anyway. Dolly seems a flirt but that's just a southern gal anyway.

    It always comes back to Goop! She's the anti-Dolly.

    My favorite Dolly Parton quote is when someone asks her if it offended her when people called her a dumb blonde. She shot back, "No, because I'm not dumb and I'm not blonde."

    Dolly said for years she & her hubs have an open relationship. She meet him when she first moved to Nashville, before she became famous. He was a construction worker when they meet, & she was a struggling perfomer.

    Sandybrook is right. A girl I worked with toured with Dolly for 6 months, years ago. She said Dolly was an awesome person to work for, and she said Dolly told her one time that her husband was her best friend in the world, but they were always strictly platonic. Dolly would go to the lesbian bars and loved being with the ladies.

    @Sass71, I read both of Loretta Lynn's autobiographies and she said that she never once cheated on her husband even though he cheated on her ALL THE TIME. She's another one who has zero fucks to give and I think she'd be honest if she had slept with Conway Twitty...or at least she wouldn't have denied it if she had.

    I like the rumour that Dolly Parton always wears long sleeves because she is covered in tattoos and her fans wouldn't like it. And does anyone remember what Kenny Rogers looked like before plastic surgery. With all his money, you think he'd have had better work done.

    I do - I used to watch Kenny Rogers and the 5th edition when they had their own variety show, I think it was spun off the Glen Campbell show yes I watched these shows and The Everly Brothers show, no one sang as sweet as those boys, even though I never was a big country fan

    That Kenny and Dolly Christmas special was must see TV at my house. I drove the kids crazy playing the cassette tape of the soundtrack. Now my oldest son has fond memories when he hears you made this a Chtistmas to remember. Kenny was so handsome, I wished he would have left his face alone. Dolly needs to stop too, she's entering Joker territory.

    Yep, I remember what Kenny looked like. Grew up loving him--him and Conway, Alabama, the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers were the only country singers I cared for. I don't understand why Kenny had any work done, he did not need it.
    As for Loretta Lynn and Conway--no way did they do anything. Lynn's husband, Doo, would have killed him. My family is from the same area of Kentucky that she's from, and we heard all kinds of stories about Doo. You did not mess with that man or his wife.

    I remember reading an interview with Kenny Rogers after he had his eyes done where he said he couldn't close his eyes to sleep after the surgery. He should have gone to Dolly's guy.

    I love Dolly but wish she'd just come out now. Only a few crazies would have a problem with it these days and she's so nice and so talented she deserves to live honestly and know we all still love her exactly as she is.

    Everyone in the industry knows anyway. She used to get women sent to her post-show hotel rooms back in the 60's / 70's. After being managed by Hollywood Power-Gay, Sandy Gallen, she was just more discreet. I say all power to her, she's still smokin'.

    I'm not certain that I believe that Dolly likes the ladies. I just feel that she's such a gay icon and so very open about everything else in her life that she would have come out LONG ago, no matter what. Either way, she's our queen. (Those of us from Tennessee, I mean. Well, and anyone else who wants to claim her as queen.)
