Watched this last night - she's obviously had work but it's good work. Voice isn't what it was 50 years ago, but whose is? she also came across as a much nicer person than I expected.
I wish SNL wasn't so tight with their older video. I remember a clip with Mike Myers/Linda Goodman and John Travolta, who was dressed up as. Barbra Streisand impersonator. They sang a medley that was way better than this one.
@Tiger, the REAL BARBRA came out during SNL skit w/Mike Myers as Linda
I love Barbra!! Noone has a voice like hers that's why you don't have a lot of impersonators..& "What's Up Doc"-One o'the best;Funny Girl-amazing,last scene w/"oh My Man" guts me everytime; On A Clear Day;"The Owl & The Pussycat;Hello Dolly; The Way We Were, she's in a different league than most-& she thinks lipsynching is pure Shiite. She can actually sing!
@auntliddy, hilarious! "caterwaltering vouce" im using that. ;) that may be true but im nostalgic @ her, watched w/my parents & both are gone,so I still watch her movies w/a smile.
LIZA? You'd rather hear Liza? Ugh! That right there is a caterwaul with a church warble. Give me Babs any day. People used to be able to sing without auto tune or lip synching. Now most are packaged for looks and dance ability and singing talent be damned.
Now all you kids get offa my lawn! Imma old lady shuffle outta here.
Bans must really want this album to sell.
ReplyDeleteHer voice is still good at 72. She must take care of herself. At that age, Sinatra was already losing his voice from smoking and drinking.
ReplyDeleteBarbra creeps me out, I don't know why.

ReplyDeleteI actually like her voice better now. Softer, less powerful and insistent.
ReplyDeleteNarcissistic of all entertainers. Id rather hear liza. Liza is a sweety

ReplyDelete1 second long video of mechastreisand is too long. Obviously didn't watch because I didn't want to puke.

ReplyDeleteNo lip syncing or autotune, I love this.
ReplyDeleteWhat's with her face? Isn't it about time she did another last final tour (again)? She probably has a few of those left.
