I can't remember Cris Judd really talking about his marriage to Jennifer Lopez. Back in the day right after they divorced I remember him talking about it a little on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here but since then he has been pretty quiet. In a red carpet interview though he finally said a few things and said that he didn't feel like a normal person and that it was really tough going from anonymity to being in the public eye simply because of who he was married to. Their marriage only lasted nine months and it even got off to a rocky start. He called the wedding a circus and that people kept trying to sneak in and he even had second thoughts about what he was getting into.
He kind of threw Jennifer under a bus and implied she was the reason their marriage didn't work. "Everyone has baggage and problems. It's whether you want to deal with those problems. When you sign up to get married, you can't just walk away." Cris has been married for five years and has a daughter who is almost one.

I forgot this guy was married to her. I hope he got paid well.
ReplyDeleteSomeone wants an extra 5 minutes of fame I see.
ReplyDeleteTrue but it appears he's making sense in his reflection.
DeleteGuess that comes with growing up, learning and delivering on true meaning of commitment (*a skill not learned by most 'celebs').
I like him more than Casper.
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about this guy. he must be hard up for attention.
ReplyDeleteWhy does JLO have such bad taste in men? Any armchair psychologists around today?
ReplyDeleteThen why's he still on red carpets and giving interviews?People who want to live a quiet, normal life hardly ever do that shit, I've found.
ReplyDeleteNice try, never-was. Go back to your cave.
FearN, she's probably gay. everyone is gay.
ReplyDelete\@jack ducky
ReplyDeleteEveryone except Ben Affleck !LOL
I read they married a month after they met
ReplyDeleteProbably should have just had mad sex instead
She was cheating on Diddy for months with Chris. Then they went public and married a month later . Then she started filming gigli and cheated the whole time with ben. He got paid off quite well. About 5 million to keep quiet. He is a choreographer in Hollywood. Never said anything bad.
DeleteJHo does what she does, she had a public relationship with a celeb that she dated for the publictiy crash & burn, so she got with a back up dancer who would kiss her feet. Then, she worked with Ben Affleck & got her hooks in him, so she divorced the back up dancer.
ReplyDeleteHe always seemed like a good guy.
ReplyDeleteObviously it didn't work. She married him by default.
ReplyDeleteCris is a really lovely guy - met him last year when he was downunder, playing Judge on "New Zealand's Got Talent" (alongside Rachel Hunter and some local guy).
ReplyDeleteHe did a brief stint on the Jersey housewives, teaching Melissa how to dance. I thought he was hot and well spoken. Most certainly I would've hit it :-)
DeleteOh yes, it obvious every celeb she's with is for her career. Jenny from the Block, when she was with Diddlysquat, then Goopy wannabe, when with Benny, even wearing a knock off of Goopy's pink Oscar dress.
ReplyDeleteI have no opinion here, except to say they both look really good in that picture.
ReplyDeleteJennifer IS the reason their relationship didn't work, so it's not like he threw her under the bus and everyone didn't know it. She was married to him for only nine months, and was already cheating on him. That's called NOT making a marriage work.
ReplyDeleteJennifer's problem is she's in love with being in love.
Crila-yes she is. She is this generation's Liz Taylor.
DeleteMinus the talent.
Delete@crila16 @auntliddy Yes, and Liz Taylor was very, very lonely at the end. There's a great anecdote in Frank Langella's book about a few sad dates they had. Maybe J-Lo will find a Michael Jackson figure to help her live out her days.
Delete@Nutty, could you please briefly summarize what Langella had to say?

ReplyDeleteI remember him from I'm a Celebrity...too, and he was very sweet and normal and he sounded really heartbroken about JLo. It was a long time ago, though, too bad he still gets asked about it.
ReplyDeleteHe was very sweet and spoke very nicely about JLo. I remember him saying how soft her lips were when they kissed. He was probably in it for love and JLo was just being JLo.
Delete@Dena - right??? Super-glad I don't get asked about all the weirdos I dated before I met Mr. F!
ReplyDeletemark anthony suggested the same thing. that she has issues she needs to deal with like needing a new man before the last one gets his walking papers.
ReplyDeleteIf I were his current wife, I'd be more than a little pissed that he keeps trying to ride the coattails of his former wife. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteBen Affleck is grateful he dodged that bullet.
ReplyDeleteI liked the guy on that reality show.
ReplyDeleteYeah I thought JLo is what Kim K is becoming - more interested in the weddings than the marriages, at least JLo does not seem to exploit her kids too much
He spoke the truth! Ben Affleck is why his marriage didn't work out. JBlow was cheating on him with Ben and just tossed him out like last year's fashions. So far Ben has been the only smart one of her men, who got out in time. She hooked up with Judd after getting caught with guns with PDiddy, who she left high and dry. JBlow definitely has issues and that's pretty obvious, around men and around aging too.
ReplyDeleteHe is still WAY better looking than Caspar the Gay Ghost and WAY more classy. JBlow made Judd her lead dancer/choreographer too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it IS her fault that the marriage didn't work! Case in point: he is now making a marriage work, and she has proven unable to do so.
ReplyDeleteI dislike her more than any celebrity in existence. Blech.
Judd is a wonderful fellow. Out of JLo's history, he is the one who seemed to actually care about her and the marriage.
ReplyDeleteThere was a little girl I used to play with once in a while as a child. She lived very close to me but I'd went farther afield to find real friends. This little girl always played the same thing. She'd gather a bunch of us to her house and play wedding, where she was the bride, over and over and over again. She'd pick a husband from a teen mag and then enact the whole romance and wedding. Then she would pick another.
We would be cast as bride's maids to sit around and watch her. We didn't often put up with this and once even destroyed the honeymoon cottage she build for herself in the woods (and told her it was boys who did it.)
Yep, she has been married 4 times now, with opulent weddings, and at least one of her husbands was in the closet. She is a complete pain in the ass with the putting down of every woman in her sights.
JLo reminds me of her so very much.
@plot, your friend seems to have been the model for one of the characters in this 'so bad it was very bad' screen gem.
Delete"but I went" Jesus! "built for herself" I'd eat a shoe for an edit button!
ReplyDeleteThis didn't seem to me like he was throwing her under the bus. But did anyone on the planet actually think he was the reason for the marriage ending? She left him for Ben.
ReplyDeleteAnd let's face it: she's had 1 broken engagement, and been married and divorced 3 times. Hmmm..maybe she DOES have commitment issues.
My diagnosis (and remember, I only took a couple years of Psychology) is that Jennifer doesn't like who she has become. She's changed so much from where she came from, what she considers the "Real" Jennifer Lopez that she tries to find men that will remind her of what her life used to be. She wants to return to her roots but has become so ingrained in the Hollywood lifestyle that no matter how much she wants to go back she can't bring herself to do it.
ReplyDeleteAs I said, the men she finds are usually a way for her to feel "normal" or "real" but the lure of her lifestyle now ruins the relationships when her "Diva" behavior comes into the picture. She unconsciously ruins the relationships because deep down she doesn't feel she deserves to be happy. That she is a fake and as such doesn't deserve anything real and lasting so her higher profile relationships are with people she feels are just as fake as she believes herself to be.
Like I said, just my opinion from what I've read and never actually talking to her.
He and his dad always seemed like good people and he never trashed her or said much. This is benign enough. The guy tried really hard to keep that marriage together it seems until she met Affleck. Give him a break.
ReplyDeleteNot that anyone cares but that's not how he said it

He didn't throw her under the bus. JLo is a fickle skank who can't be with a man or without one. Her history speaks for itself.
ReplyDelete@Sprink, nah my friend's life (my whole neighbor growing up) was far too dark to be compressed into Hollywood girlie comedy.
ReplyDeleteThe movie I'd make of it would be more like an Elena Ferrante novel than a chix flick with tiaras and vocal fry.
@plot Add a bit of The Bad Seed to it and you have a sure fire hit. The girl wants to control everything, be the one in charge and will do ANYTHING to keep control, even killing her supposed friends. Adults don't believe a kid could do the things she does to the kids and so the rest of the group have to take matters into their own hands.
