Blind Items Revealed

February 6, 2014

This former A list singer/celebrity has had a rough couple of years but hasn't lost her diva attitude. At a charity concert, the former A lister made demand after demand and refused to speak to other performers or people. Her demands on her rider cost thousands of dollars and eliminated a huge chunk of potential profit for the charity.

Lauryn Hill

  1. she can just fuck right off. She was good back in the day but she is not so amazing to act like a cunt 24/7 and treat the experience of seeing her in concert like you are meeting the Dahlia Lama---she is no Mariah Carey and I really really hate Lauryn Hill. I hope she gets thrown away in jail again and they throw away the key! lol ; )

  2. They should have just passed on having her. I hate performers who take large chunks of money from charities to perform.

    1. I agree sifichick. Why have her if it's cutting into their contribution to said charity.

  3. Charity should have sent her packing.

  4. Despicable. Why did the organizers just say no? She needs the exposure at this point much more than they needed her.

  5. People that perform at charity events should do so from the goodness of their hearts, not for perks. Didn't she get some Marley money to live off of?

  6. @meanie lol seriously though she makes kanye west look like Ghandi!

  7. This makes me sad.. I loved her as a teen. Thought she was everything!

    2. Sherry my love!! How have you been?? I'n tressed and sad because a close friend I grew up with passed and then a few days later my hubby's best friend died as well. Two funerals in one week :-( We're all sticking close and supporting each other though. It's so unreal.

    6. Aww Sherry. Do NOT say that about yourself. A loss is a loss, it hurts no matter who it is. I'm so sorry about your cat =((( Pets are like family so I know you are hurting as well *hugs* love you tons

  8. This is something I do not understand as someone who has worked on committees picking speakers for events - first of all, people talk so it is probably well known in the charity world who the celebrities that are easiest to work with and who are the hardest to work with. If you did not do your homework, the first sign of outrageous demands in the negotiation process, dump that person and go with someone else.

We dealt with an agency that only represented quality high profile people who would deliver with little fuss. All their requests were reasonable and some asked for nothing. Some of them hung around and one even went partying with everyone LOL. That was funny.

  9. That's why she'll always be a has-been. Her winning over Madonna's "Ray of Light" for Album of the Year at Grammy's wasn't even well-deserved.

    1. Um... Yes, it was. At least she actually wrote her songs.

  10. She IS a charity case hersel, but understandably no ones going to help her out.

  11. My biggest gripe about this is not Hill's diva ass behavior because I expect that from 99% of celebrities because they are über privileged assclowns. It's disappointing that charities don't just replace them because it reinforces the notion that your dollars will be wasted if and when you donate. I work hard for my money and when I donate, I don't want a cent going to those shitmunchers.

  12. Amen, Derek! She was always, IMO, WAAAAAY overrated.

  13. @Zoe Lies.

I love me some Lauryn Hill. IDC. I know she's crazy, but I also think she's a genius. She was speaking about the "illuminati" back in 2000 before it was even a thing. I attribute her diva behavior to her mental illness just like Kanye West. Coincidentally, Kanye and Lauryn are both geminis...

  14. Well when someone is talking about the illuminati you know they're not quite right.

FWIW my husband is a Gemini and he's a little genius/crazy. More absentminded professor actually. But still an amazing man to me, of course.

  18. @Sherry

The Illuminati was founded in Italy in the 18th century FYI. Don't know if it still exists but it was very much a thing.

  19. Geminis are great! Sherry, are you an Aquarius or a Sagittarius? They seem to be the signs that are best able to deal with Geminis.

The Illuminati is real, BTW. It's almost crazy to believe that people with power, money and control won't form some sort of secret organization to make sure they retain control. This stuff doesn't happen by coincidence!

    1. Astra: seriously? Whenever I've tried to research the illuminati online, it's always paranoid, crazy and bereft of actual evidence. I'm kind of fascinated. Do you have references/sites with credible information cos I'd love to know more.

    2. Astra indeed Geminis are wonderful people. I am a Libra with Gemini rising. My business mentor was a true Gemini. Just reconnected with her in July and she's still this amazing woman.

  21. L Boogie is nuts.. I think. There's another part of me wondering if she's just been Joaquin Phoenixing us and/or her record company this past decade. If it's just a superiority complex I'd like some of what she's smoking.

  22. @Gossip

Who are you talking about? Madonna or Lauryn? Because it's debatable how much actual work Lauryn did on her album. She was sued by producers for unpaid royalties for the album. Doesn't make her any less talented IMO
