This Golden Globe winning actor/ Academy Award winner/nominee got into a fight in a club this weekend and it took three bouncers to get the aging actor out of the club. It sounds like it was a bath salts thing because our actor was trying to randomly bite people and claw their eyes out.

ReplyDeleteI've come to believe that 9 1/2 Weeks was the fluky aberration and *this* is the real Mickey Rourke, not the other way 'round. Maybe he stole that performance from someone else.

ReplyDeleteThat's why it took three people to get him off someone. Say what you will but MR does know how to fight. Doesn't seem to know how to behave around women or get decent surgery but that's another thing..

ReplyDelete@Rolo I agree - Diner, Barfly & Body Heat. I just recorded The Rainmaker but haven't watched it yet. I even liked his bit in Once Upon a Time in Mexico but he's definitely not what he once was.
ReplyDeleteForgot Angel Heart. Just caught that on cable a week ago. I remember seeing that in the theater. I mainly remember Bill Cosby making such a big stink about Lisa Bonet doing nudity in that film (so stupid). I don't think it's held up over the years but damn Mickey looks so different in it. Same with 91/2 Weeks. So very very scandalous when it was released but compared to say - True Blood? Not that salacious these days. It really was cutting edge back when. Shit do I feel OLD!
ReplyDeleteAngel Heart WAS scandalous. In the days of VHS it had an R18+ slapped on it here in Oz. A good movie though.
