Blind Item #8

To avoid an entire production being scrapped that cost nearly $100M to make, the producers and director cut every scene of this B- list mostly movie actress because she was so wasted during filming that no one could understand her or even knew what she was doing.

    1. Not that she is in anything, but I just don't have a better guess.

I don't think the other usual suspects, Tara and Mischa, have anything going on either.

  3. Why would they cut the scenes after filming? They should've cut the director for not seeing it DURING filming.

  4. Just one question...what did the director or the producers during the takes? They watched their shoes? Golf?

  5. I can't imagine either one of them would be in that big a production.

  6. The problem with the names listed is that they cannot get cast in a $100 million dollar picture these days. People know better. Must be a new celeb entering the disaster zone

  7. How could they get this far into production before realizing she couldn't be understood? I call either BS on the blind, or it is highly exaggerated. That being said, did Lindsay recently film something?

    1. Exactly, I would think discovering her character didn't fit the story line would have happened earlier on during filming. But, I think there is more to the story. This seems like the spin on a spin. What's the real scoop? Who did she sleep with she should not have? This is revenge.

  16. Fast & Furious costs way more than $100m.

I would say Midnight Special with Kirsten Dunst. The price tag should fit for that movie and it's also at the right point in post production.

  17. It seems to me on the second day the actress shows up drunk she gets read the riot act and appointed a minder and told that her replacement is being cast now so if she shows up the 3rd time drunk, she is out

  18. B list actresses are not that hard to find

  19. Shailene Woodley was cut from Spider-Man 2 and her part recast for Spider-Man 3. Idk.

  20. There is something called "dailies" that directors and producers view after filming to see things. So this item is b.s. because she wouldn't have lasted the frist week of filming after they watched the dailies.

  22. How much does a season of Celebrity Apprentice cost to produce? I have a feeling this might explain the long wait for the next season.

  23. Agree with sandybrook. This is BS. No $100M movie would wait until the end to edit out bad scenes. The actor would have been fired after the director saw the dailies. That's just too much money to play with.

  24. Isn't this the same as the other blind about a show having a hard time editing due to one person being drunk?

Yes, they have dailies and they mark the scenes they think are best for the editing. Not all movies have the director in the editing process, believe it or not. They should be I think. IF the person was so drunk they would have stopped it before it got that far.

  25. Well the whole beauty of digital film is they don't even have to wait for dailies, I now see photos or video of actors and directors reviewing the film right there on the set after doing the scene a few times, so if they need to reshoot something they can do it whilst they are still set up for that scene THOUGH we have certainly seen where movies will have to bring back the cast for reshoots after the post production process sometimes months and several haircuts etc later. And clearly by some of the bad movies out there, you do wonder if anyone was reviewing the film as they went along or at all because it is one big mess or was that a editor going too far.

The only thing that would make sense is that for whatever reason they couldn't fire the actress so made sure her part was small because they knew they were going to cut it out later.

You clearly have not seen any of the Expendables franchise.

  27. During filming, especially if the director was forced to accept a troubled actor to get a green light, the famous words used are "We'll fix it in post", some things are simply unfix-able.

True but isn't Expendables so bad that it doesn't matter? Fans just want to see all those old guys. Story doesn't matter.
