Blind Item #8 -Fashion Week-Kindness

This C list celebrity with an A list last name spent time this weekend talking to models about eating disorders and relating her own story and passing out cards with her cell number and e-mail and offering her help to anyone who wants it. She also has taken some of her trust fund money and paid for models to go to counseling and even rehab to deal with their eating disorders.

  8. It sounds like someone who has started a counseling service for eating disorders. If so, I don't see this as a kindness, but marketing your business.

    1. Who started a counseling service? She's paying for ladies to go to counseling, doesn't sound very business like to me.

  14. this is all very nice but the girls want to work and stay employed and that doesnt happen when they gain weight and increase inches. she should be passing it out to the editors of magazines and designers and casting directors.

  15. I think it's Allegra. She has a trust fund. She had an eating disorder. I think it's her.

  18. for a local show, we have a limit of 36 inches diameter for hips. thats it. 37 inches cant walk. this isnt our local decision, it's what was given to us by new york designers.

so by trying to help these girls, they should also have education or professional services because they will literally be unemployable (unless standards change).

  19. Well 36 - 24 - 36 was the ideal a long time ago, that an hourglass figure is it not? I am quite sure most of the models are no where near 36 inch hips that more like 34? I notice most models list their measurements on those model sites as 34 or less in the bust and 34 or less in the hips only the swimsuit chicks hit around 36 in the hips. Googling, Cara Delevigne is 31 - 24 - 34, Kate Upton is 38 - 27 -36.

  20. Sad to say but as a model you want an eating disorder. In that world the girl with the best ability to avoid caloric intake is the most envied.
This person prob won't get any takers in that environment.

  21. Sincerely, my friend was a professional ballet dancer. Same in that industry. She said they all had ED's and amongst themselves didn't bother to hide it. The teachers would line the dancers up and pinch test them for body fat, and dress them down about it. Sad.

  22. The Versace Versus show was yesterday (the 8th) in New York, So, if this is Allegra, then it's likely to have taken place during model fittings.
