This former A list child actor from back in the day who crashed and burned due to drugs admitted recently that he supplied the drugs to this former child actress who overdosed and died because she couldn't afford to buy any.

My thought was Todd Bridges tho.
She overdosed and died because she couldn't buy drugs? The only way that makes sense is if she could only afford smidging amounts due to being mostly broke and he gave her too much to tide her over.

In his 20s, Bridges battled a crack cocaine addiction for several years. In 1988, he was arrested and tried for the attempted murder of Kenneth "Tex" Clay, a Los Angeles area drug dealer who, prosecutors argued, had been shot by Bridges while on a binge. Bridges pleaded not guilty to the charges and was represented by the high-profile defense attorney Johnnie Cochran. Cochran successfully portrayed Bridges as an abused minor who had been driven to drugs by an exploitative entertainment industry, and was now being unfairly framed. A witness finally testified that Bridges was not present at the time of the shooting. Bridges was acquitted of all charges by a jury.
Danny used to do radio, still think he does it... or maybe a podcast. Perhaps he hinted about it on a recent show or something?

Could mean multiple things. She could've traded sex for it, which could be another nod to Furlong. It is also common for heroin users to have a gopher or a tester in the crew who tests batches out. She could've been getting drugs for free in exchange for that. I remember feeling sick the first time I heard of people doing that, but it's not uncommon.

ReplyDeleteHere's the (super-long) Furlong reveal. Basically, Furlong and his girl were hooked on drugs, she got meth face, when she doesn't work, she's hooking for drugs. She's still alive, though, and still acting, and unlike the BIR implies, she doesn't have meth face.
I take it back - in VIP's original link, she looks hella rough.

My first guess was Todd Bridges/Dana Plato.
ReplyDeleteAnissa Jones had just gained access to her trust fund when she died so I'm sure she could afford drugs. I thought maybe Bridgette Anderson for the girl but struggling to think who the actor could be.

ReplyDeleteI thought Anissa Jones (Johnny Whitaker seems to have done a 180 and turned his life around so I thought he had remorse for giving the drugs) but it said former child actress so there seems to be some lapse in time between their acting days and the death. Who was so poor they could not afford drugs? Dana Plato. But I still keep on going back to Anissa Jones. Johnny W finding god and now being a drug counselor (he had dealings with Dana Plato) make me think he has some guilt......

ReplyDeleteDana Plato died in Oklahoma-from an overdose of SOMA-which is a PRESCIPTION muscle relaxer-I was on that back then-very, very common, and LORTAB-a pain reliever for moderate to severe pain-(combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone)... Many think Plato committed suicide-her life was NOTHING like it was when she was a famous child star.. she did not have custody of her son (who killed himself-'accidental gunshot' almost 15 years to the date his mother died), and she had JUST appeared on the HOWARD STERN show-where she was RIPPED to SHREDS... btw-TODD BRIDGES? DANNY BONADUCE? NEVER EVER A-LIST!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I and some others, are reading this 'clue' wrong.. it doesn't say that 'HE' whoever he is.. supplied the FATAL DOSE.. but that he 'supplied' her with drugs because she could not afford them. What she died from could be totally different from what she normally took to get high....

I 'GOOGLED' young female drug overdoses.. AND GOT .. nothing.. Well, I got a list of both MALE AND FEMALE DEATHS.. of ALL AGES...
I doubt it was ANISSA JONES-though she did die from an OD..because I would not consider her a B list actress-she died at 18..in 1976, but had not WORKED in about 6 years! She died 5 months after turning 18.. I remember a picture of her 18th birthday.. she was holding a check..in the 10's of thousands -her residual check for 'FAMILY AFFAIR' (A LOT LESS then actors get these days!!!) and she had this sh*t eating grin on her face.. suppose most went for drugs..

The San Diego County coroner said it was one of the most severe cases of drug overdose ever seen in San Diego County' So between the fact she had not worked in YEARS, and the amt, and different drugs in her.. I doubt an 'a lister' had been her supplier....
the list I saw, and a few others.. basically had OLDER women.. but MAINLY MEN.. So.. if we go on 'not supplying the final fatal dose'.. DANA PLATO would seem to be the answer.. if you can step over the fact that she was FAR FROM B LIST..
ReplyDeleteThere were a few names that surprised me, but wouldn't, couldn't be in the running.. INGER STEVENS..actress from the 50's 60s.. very beautiful.. played 'HOSS'S mother on Bonanza.. and the 'SINGING NUN' .. committed suicide with an OD... You don't think???? (1933-1985) NAH!!!
GRANTED.. the list is far from complete.. but, no other YOUNG actresses on it!
