This married A list mostly movie actor who deserves to be A+list is really good looking and everyone loves him, but he does cheat on his wife frequently and she is finally getting tired of it. She has left the actor a few times but then he just really goes through a bunch of women. He looks like Mr. Nice Guy, but is really no different from a Gerard Butler in the number of women he sleeps with.

It's a Jean Cocteau film called La belle et la bête (Beauty and the Beast, 1946). It's the definitive version of the fairy tale. The beast is played by Cocteau's lover, Jean Marais. It's a crazy, wonderful film. There's a particular moment when Belle is under the Beast's gaze and rather than it being fear, as you first guess, it's actually her lust for him. Fantastically sexy.

The first is from blind gossip. At the time, Paul Rudd had been filming his guest appearance on Parks and Recreation and then a few months later he and Amy co-starred in They Came Together.
The second blind was on CDaN. @VIP was the first to suggest Paul and Amy for that one.
Wouldn't you know it, after all that, I still made a mistake!

As for the blind of this thread, I think the key is handsome. Paul Rudd would not be described as handsome. Ethan Hawke, MAYBE. Colin Firth is very attractive, swoonworthy even, but you don't really think of him as "handsome."

Now Enty had another blind that many of us thought could be TH and that was the actor on the cusp of A+ being destroyed by the fact that he caught his significant other cheating on him and he's fallen off the sobriety wagon and he needs a minder so they can finish his current film.
Though frankly seeing all his interviews from TIFF he seemed his usual self to me.
I think Ewan McGregor might be a better guess, haven't he and his wife been estranged at times?

ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE Paul Rudd but he was who I first thought of for this. I've heard rumors in the past that he's cheated on his wife more than once. I know that Paul and Amy hooked up while they were filming Wet Hot American Summer, and the two have amazing on and off-screen chemistry, but I don't have any proof that the blind that @Yoj brought up is them, though. It all does seem to fit, especially with the new Tina Fey BI Reveal! Some of my favorite people in the industry though so it makes me a bit sad! :(
