Blind Item #10- Fashion Week
This B+ reality star from an A list reality show is now bringing sealed drinks to work after two incidents earlier this week where models dumped cigarette ash water into one of the B lister's drinks and someone supposedly did something worse to another bottle. The B lister is hated and the hate continues to grow every day.

I did read where some model spoke out about how Kendall is resented for getting jobs she would never have gotten without her family connections. On the other hand..I can't really feel too sorry for models complaining about work being taken away from them. Get some job skills to fall back on instead of pursuing a career that is wholly based on your genetics.

Modeling is selling. The one who sells the most is the one who rises the fastest. Kendall sells (for whatever reason), therefore she gets gigs.

DeletePro models have always been bullies and envious assholes. This is just news because she is probably a Kardashian (sp), but I would bet at least half of this year newcomers have suffered the same fate.

ReplyDeleteI am certain other models are jealous because she's risen so quickly. Not to defend but who wouldn't harbor some resentment after working your way through the ranks. Models depend upon their genetics as stated above and by that very nature are insecure and jealous. NOW if she's hated because she's a snotty bitch then she needs some self awareness.
I myself had a model/actress friend who was mumbling about her next audition. I kept asking and she finally blurted out, "Sherry, it's not like you can go!" I said, "We're completely different looks and there's no way I could crash an audition. I simply didn't hear you." She apologized but it gave me some insight into the competition that exists for models.
BTW she was gorgeous so there was definitely no competition for roles with us. We would go to some cattle calls together and even changed dresses once so she could wear my MLB. Needless to say she looked much better. LOL! (neither of us got a part)
Can't stand the entire kadashian/Jenner group. But they should NOT be putting things in her food or drinks. Can you imagine if she had an allergy to something? Plus it's just dumb. Is this 6 th grade? Grow up.

ReplyDeleteI certainly don't condone bullying, but you have to understand the changes that have taken place in the modelling industry over the past decade. Models no longer get cosmetics contracts (which used to be their primary source of income), these now go to actresses. The second biggest contracts are for Victoria's Secret, which only go to the models with the most male-friendly look. Catwalk/Runway and Editorial don't pay as well but they've become most models only jobs. So, when someone like Kendall waltzes in, yeah, tempers are gonna flare.
Whether someone is Kardashian-related or not, no-one deserves to be bullied. I don't feel sorry for models at all --- welcome to the world where people get hired all the time because of who they know. Some call it nepotism, others call it networking.

ReplyDeleteIt's not like Jenner is the first female to get a modeling gig because of who she knows. There's tons of them mostly with famous parents of some sort. Modeling has never been fair kids if you can't handle that then get into another line of work. Messing with someone's drink or food is bullshit.

Kendall got her foot in the door easily but if she doesn't outwork everyone else and prove her worth, she will be gone soon. Just like in any industry. Anyone that doesn't accept help getting their foot in the door is crazy.
