  3. Google Street view has been messed up for me the last week or so. You pick a place to street view & instead of zooming in, it zooms all the way out to furthest level so you're looking at earth from space.

  5. I love google street view. They last drove by my house while it was in the process of being remodeled. There's a porta-potty in the front yard, the picture window in boarded up, the lawn in dead, there's a mountain of debris in the driveway and a hot water heater strapped to the fence.

I mourn the day they update the picture.

  6. Gayeld, I'm saddened you didn't have an old appliance on your porch or a car up on blocks but I understand you were doing a remodel and weren't trying to make the place look good at that time. Please paint some tires white to accent your new lawn, mkay?

(Unless you don't want to purdify the place a la the south)

He's humourous, not witty, and a good choice for a chat show as he's generous (by which I mean that he's content to let the other person get the bigger laugh). I'm interested to see what an American audience makes of him as his humour isn't as broad as Craig Ferguson's.

  11. There's this cafe a few blocks from my house, I used to go there with my dog every morning for coffee and a pastry, and of course I sat outside.

Google Street View updates every few years. I'm not kidding - when I looked at that location on Street View, there I was with my dog, sitting at a table outside. A couple of years later, I looked again, there I was again with my dog - but it was a different picture!

The Street View car drove past me a few months ago - I was walking my dog on the sidewalk near my house. I waved madly. Have been checking to see if I made it ... just checked, it was updated May 2014 and I'm not there. I guess they drive by more than once.

    Bummer!
