I sleep one out of every 20 miles while driving. I can't help it, wine does that to me. If I'm a passenger I like to stay awake, and sober , and take in the scenery.
This isn't the most interesting topic. Give us something better like close encounters with a celeb - both rated G family version and the version only a Count can appreciate.
1400 miles give or take from Lubbock to Sacramento. I've driven cross country by myself a few times. MA to Fl, FL to Sacramento, Sacramento to Detroit, Detroit to Sacramento, Detroit to Tucson dragging all of my possessions and a couple of cats a few times.
All of them.

DeleteFsp, lady, yes!
DeleteFSP: HA!
DeleteI'd hate to for anyone to be able to count the number of miles they've driven while sleeping.
ReplyDeleteThree. Damn narcolepsy! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is a gross question. Sleep-deprived driving supposedly kills as many people as drunk driving. It's not a badge of honor. Just ask Tracey Morgan.

ReplyDelete7.5. Some of it was traffic on 95. Ugh.

ReplyDeleteHow about what tricks do you have to keep yourself awake on a long drive?

ReplyDeleteSeattle to Vegas. A little over 1,000 miles. Took 24 hours
ReplyDeleteSolo? 15 hours. That was only because I took a wrong turn and went through Peoria by mistake.
ReplyDeleteSeattle to the Bay Area more times than I can count. I'm sure I've clocked over 1K on a leg of a coast-to-coast run.
ReplyDelete14 hours from NJ-GA...By the time i hit South Carolina, i wanted to see if I could actually do it

ReplyDeleteNow, I can't leave the damn house most days.
Not many. Not an esp enthusiastic driver. I dont make what is known as " good time". And i can get lost going around the corner, no lie.
ReplyDeleteI only drive when I'm awake.

ReplyDeleteBlast heavy metal with aircon, the windows down; red bull and pull over to sleep for 20 mins if you need to.
ReplyDelete1370 Milwaukee to Tampa. I'd never do it in again without stopping or alone in the car.
ReplyDeleteATL to Austin. 15 hours of fun. On more than one occasion. I think that's about 1000 miles.
ReplyDeleteAround 600. It's not advisable. I was almost babbling in another language by the time I got to my destination, I was so tired.
