Tallulah Willis made news yesterday because she is in a magazine spread showing off her body while she talks about body dysmorphic disorder. Today she is making headlines for an entirely different reason. According to Star, Tallulah checked into rehab on July 23rd for cocaine and alcohol addiction. The 20 year old was busted a long time ago for underage drinking, but the most interesting part of the story is that back in May, Scout busted Tallulah using coke and then ratted her out to dad Bruce. I don't know how angry Bruce can get considering how many times he went to rehab or Demi considering her rehab trips and continued drug use. Have you noticed that only Rumer talks to Demi? The other two never talk to their mom. There is a lot of family tension. I hope she makes it. 20 years old is a long time to live your life with addiction.

ReplyDeleteActually all the Willis girls, except for Rumer, were born in Sun Valley, ID. Demi was living there post-Bruce for a while until the plastic surgery came calling. Back in the day, Idaho was the shit with Rosanne and Tom Arnold living there too.
I guess all the Willis girls are unfortunate looking. I wonder if his newest inherited that jaw too.

ReplyDeleteAddiction can be an inherited gene as well. I remember all the stories of Demi cutting it up like a Bennihana Chef. Producers of St Elmos Fire wouldn't hire her until she got clean (even though her character I think used). Just look at RDJ that gene unfortunately got passed to his son. Hope they find the help that they need/want.

ReplyDeleteDemi's career was pretty much in the crapper, after she did Strip Tease & GI Jane. She took time off from acting & got a lot of cosmetic surgery. She then came back to LA, did Charlie's Angels. Had everyone kissing her ass, telling her how good she looked. Demi started dated younger men, then she was dating rock stars, then got with Asston. The girls were pre-teen or teen during that.

Having 2 parents with addiction issues gives her a stronger disposition towards addiction. Alcoholism is a beast. I wish her the best in addressing and hopefully overcoming these challenges.

ReplyDeleteI've just gotta get preachy for a moment: when you have kids, whether you realize it or not, you've entered into a situation where you're obligated to back burner your bullshit until the kids are grown. I'm NOT saying you should throw your entire life out the window, but I am saying that you've got to make decisions with your kids foremost on your mind. Demi and Bruce's antics clearly show what happens when you decide to just lose your mind and focus on what you want instead of what the kids need. Couple that craziness with obvious genetic addiction issues, and these poor girls don't stand a chance (at least until they can mature enough to get a handle on their own issues).

DeleteI remember in the 90s the Willises were made out to be such a great family because they did move to Idaho so that their kids wouldn't grow up, well, exactly like this.
ReplyDeleteExactly what @Frufra said. It KILLS me when I see parents who cannot delay their own gratification 10 or even 5 years until their kids are up and out. The worst are the parents with multiple girl/boyfriends cycling in and out.
Demi was partying with Rumer and Lindsay Lohan at one point sharing cocaine with them. I remember the three of them stumbling out of a party a while back. Rumer was quite wild before she became an "actress".

Oh please, that big move to Idaho was clearly never for the good of the children. Demi left Hollywood because her career was dead. She had made a bunch of bombs such as "The Scarlet Letter" and was not young anymore (by Hollywood standards). As soon as she got her comeback role in the "Charlie's Angels" sequel she moved all those girls right back to Hollywood.
