  12. How does Adam Sandler keep getting to make movies?

  13. Did anyone here read 'The Family Dang'? I was looking forward to this film adaptation, as the stand-out mother-character would make a great role for Kidman (I'm an unabashed fan). But she chose to play the (more conventional) daughter. Why?

    1. Vanity. The older ones still think playing mom is a slap in the face if THEY believe they can pass for the daughter in a script. That's my guess.

  15. Between Dinklage and Helen Mirren and Ashley benson as she-ra-I'm in heaven.
So how did Nina Dobrev get top billing in this pile of A's, Enty?!?!

  16. It's funny, Yoj. The actress cast to play her mom on Family Fang is only about 13 years her senior. Kidman is really set against playing her true 47 yr old self. LOVE Mirren for the exact opposite reason. Helen embraces herself in every way. She rocks.

    You're so right.
I love Kidman's work but she undermines herself with this desperate fight against ageing. A toxic mix of vanity, insecurity and pride is damaging enough - but it may now be having a negative effect on her career.
Sad for her. Frustrating for her fans.
Another favourite actress of mine is (the sixty-year-old) Isabelle Huppert. She's testament to the fact that as an actress ages, the roles get more interesting. So, why fight it?

  18. Adam sandler. & family were in Niagara Falls this weekend kind to everyone just as you would expect. Oprah what happened? She put on some super tight spandex suit on the cover of her mag sure did wonders but obv too uncomfortable to wear all the time.

  19. You know who else is in that Spielberg/Oprah movie? The heart ripping out guy from Temple of Doom.

That dude made me scared to go to the bathroom for months. I was scared he was hiding for me behind the shower curtain.

  20. I absolutely adore Peter Dinklage's voice. One of the best male voices of all time, IMO.

    Helen Mirren is hot.

  22. Helen Mirren never, ever looks bad on a Red Carpet. This dress is perfect on her and well styled.

  23. Helen Mirren is pure class, hands down.

Peter Dinklage.....what's with the two-toned mullet? lol
