DeleteLol Bee! My brother is 15 years older than me, so even when I was a kid our relationship was more like that of a father/daughter. My nephew and I are just a few years apart though! We punch each other and fight like bro and sis :-)

Lol Fancy!! A few of my black friends have done it. They don't have weaves/wigs but they were shower caps! My hair takes FOREVER to do, so I would wear a cap also lol

ReplyDeleteI see I am ignorant about ALS - I thought ALS was strictly genetic so I figured well aren't they working on gene therapy for it now?
ReplyDeleteBut I guess the majority of ALS cases do not immediately appear to have a genetic component.
And reading another article, the writer said the problem with ALS is that about 200,000 people are diagnosed with it annually but it also means certain death in 2-5 years and I notice a lot of athletes in contact sports seem to get it and head trauma is one of the avenues they are studying along with possible toxic exposure.
@Tina Mallette, They ARE GETTING THEIR CHECKBOOKS OUT!! @Seven is right! -One of my best friends has A.L.S. & very involved in the contributions & where the money goes(Research,Testing,etc.).It's heartbreakingly sweet how his 8yr.old son helps him w/everything)& they LOVE all these celeb ice-bucket challenges.As a result,all the 8 yr.old's friends are doing it w/their parents & contributing & So on & So on so,it's Clearly been spreading awareness amongst young & old,gets $$ for the Cause,keeps it positive & gets people(kids)outside &smiling at least once during lazy hazy summer.Why be negative about it??
ReplyDeleteAt age 101, you probably don't want stuff. My MIL is 94 and doesn't want stuff. She does like to be remembered on her birthday so the cake was really nice for this guy and all of the good wishes that went with it.
