Jessica Barrymore Recently Lost 100 Pounds In Just A Few Months
John Barrymore has been speaking about the death of his sister and believes that she did not commit suicide. John says that the half-sister of Drew Barrymore had recently lost well over 100 pounds in a very short amount of time and that he thinks she was taking an amount of pills based on her old weight and not her new weight. He also says that he would be shocked if anyone finds a suicide note. He said the death of his sister Jessica was probably just an accidental overdose. Jessica was found in her car about 40 miles from her house. The car had pills scattered throughout the front. There was also vodka and methamphetamine found next to her. John says that his sister recently adopted a new cat and had visited her mother the week previously. Drew Barrymore says she only met her sister two or three times but wished her loved ones peace and that she was sorry for their loss.
Suicide or not she sounds like she was pretty messed up. Like all of them in that family.
ReplyDeleteComing from a fractured family I feel for everyone involved
ReplyDeleteMeth will help you lose 100 pounds.
ReplyDeleteAnd your teeth.
That's alot of weight in just a few months, but u can indeed lost all that with meth. Along with your dignity, pride, selfworth, and teeth. Shes probably in a better place
ReplyDeleteSometimes people lose a lot of weight and then find that life doesn't magically become wonderful- their problems don't go away, they don't find true love ect ect. Who knows- it could be accidental overdose, suicide or just the fact that her body was fucked up due to chemical abuse and drastic weight loss (and questionable method). RIP
ReplyDeleteTrue Rose. Same happens to people who have plastic surgery. They expect their lives to magically change overnight.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to the family.
this really did sound accidental, family has a addiction gene, its hard for them to resist the drug when the parents made it seem like normal stuff when they were young
ReplyDeleteI believe this -- not that it makes a huge difference at the end of the day, but she seems like someone who struggled with addiction more than mental illness and depression.
ReplyDeleteSounds legit...and I'm glad that people aren't attacking Drew. They weren't close, which happens in families, and she offered condolences without malice.
ReplyDeleteDrew said she only met her a few times.
DeleteWait... Isn't John Barrymore Drew's father? I know Hollywood family trees can be a little weird, but how could she have been John's sister and Drew's half-sister?
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a Barrymore.
ReplyDeleteI see some resemblance to Ethel.
Tyger- the John quoted is her half brother. Their father died a few years ago and was also named John.
ReplyDeleteHorse races made me lose more than 100 pounds one day. Damned limeys.
ReplyDeleteThe Barrymores have no family tree, they have some family bottle, syringe or stuff like that.
Well, everyone speaks very highly of Jessica, saying what a wonderful helpful person she was. I couldnt ask for more myself, and i hope she's resting peacefully.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there's a history of suicide in that family. Genetic pre-disposition sometimes just can't be overcome. Just like with other famous families the Crosbys & Hemmingways.
ReplyDeleteThis is sad either way. I can understand why he would want to clear her name.
ReplyDeleteMay she RIP.
ReplyDeleteSadly the Barrymore family historically has substance abuse issues.
This probably would have been very similar to Drew's life had she not become a child star. Sad.
ReplyDeleteShe had at least two cats and a dog. In cases like this I really worry about the fate of a deceased person's pets. I could tell you stories about "loving" family members whose first move is to dump the dear departed's pets at the nearest kill shelter - even knowing how much the deceased loved his/her pets. It's disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI hope it isn't suicide but somebody sitting in a car 40 miles from home with pills all over the floor, plus booze and meth ... that's not a situation as simple as "oh, took too many pills because she used to have a higher tolerance." I mean, the dose that can kill you at 160 pounds is not likely to be the prescribed dose for somebody who weighs 260 pounds, so either way, she took way too many pills.
ReplyDeleteWas it a coincidence that it was the day before her birthday? I dunno.
what a sad way to go. in a shitty car,
