Full House Is Coming Back - Probably

What was once just an idea John Stamos proposed to Warner Brothers is now becoming more likely. A return of Full House to the airwaves. With Girl Meets World already in place over at Disney, this would mark the second remake of the Friday night lineup that ABC had over a decade ago. What is amazing to me is that Funniest Home Videos which was also around at that time for the network is still going strong. Different reports have said that some to most of the original cast would return. I would think the Olsen twins would be a big no except for some kind of cameo. They make far to much money doing other things and being on the show would force them to have to smile which might actually hurt them at this point in their lives. You know that Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure would come back. It is not like they are having huge Hollywood careers. Do we want Dave Coulier to come back? I don't. Kimmy would be a lock because she and Candace are bff. You could just recycle every episode but have grandchildren instead of children. The Beach Boys would also like you to know they are available.

  1. Oh joy!! I'm breathless with anticipation! All these unemployed actors find work because Stamos owns the rights to the show and needs work too. Not money for him, just work.
Better than another reality show though.

    1. For the LOVE OF GOD, did you have to put that idea into the stratosphere? From your lips to some idiot producers ear and BAM!

  5. This is why network TV is falling behind in the ratings and not picking up Emmy wins. Their executives are stuck inside the box and no matter how good the pot is they are smoking all they can come up with is rehashes of old TV shows from their youth that are better left there rather than revived. Can the Brady Bunch reunion be that far off?

  6. Eh, the storyline could incorporate uncle joey and michelle dying in a plane crash or something. Hilarity ensues!

  7. My friend from college played Viper on the show.

  8. I can't stand Full House. I always thought Michelle was annoying & not cute at all. Of course I watched it when I was younger & it was first on the air but after the twins came on board I moved on. I get how some people might like it for nostalgic reasons but my 14 yr old cousin loves it & thinks it is the best show ever.

  9. If the Olsen twins were to come back, which one would play Michelle? Would they fight over the role. They aren't identical twins, so it's not like they could swap and take turns, now that they're older. I personally think Elizabeth should come back and play Michelle. Just to mess with everyone.

  10. My 3 kids (ages 11, 8 & 5) LOVE this show! I must admit to encouraging them to watch it. (Don't judge - sometimes I just need a break from the obnoxious back talking Disney/Nick programs!) They think it's super cheesy, but that is part of the beauty of Full House! (My 11 year old daughter even discovered a love of greek yogurt after finally deciding she'd give it a try after Uncle Jesse was in the ad! LOL!) We'd totally watch a re-boot! No way Olsen's return though...

Hmmm... original story line was mom dies so Dad's buddy & friend help raise their kids... Perhaps they kill off Michelle and have DJ, Kimmie & Stephanie raise her kids? (So embarassed to have spent this much time even commenting on this! Back to lurking again!)

BTW - Other old programs the think are AMAZING include Golden Girls & I Love Lucy! And I'm NOT embarassed about either of those ones! ;)

YES! Bring back The Golden Girls! For real this time and not a cheap Hot in Cleveland style knock off. Betty White can't carry the whole cast by herself

  11. Bob Saget recently performed here in my town, which is in the remotest northern corner of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. To give you an idea, the nearest Starbucks is 100 miles away.

So yeah, I'm thinkin' Saget would jump at the chance for a Full House reunion.

  12. I fail to see what kind of storylines could they make. Even the twins are adults now.

  13. I glad pronounce I have never seen this sitbomb I mean sitcom. Must have been the time I was whoring around NYC and my nights were otherwise committed.

And if anyone actually WAS smoking the good shit a retread is defintely not what they would come up with.

  14. The question is, will Candace's husband give her permission? He did let her do "Dancing with the Stars", so presumably he'd have no problem with Stamos.

  16. Are you KIDDING ME?? Storylines would abound! Michelle and Stephanie sitting around the house, smoking meth and doing coke, DJ intervening because her sisters are dating black guys, Uncle Jesse drunk and picking up chicks, Bob Saget starts his own pron company, the possibilities are endless!

  18. Oh figgy, I wish the nearest Starbucks to me was a hundred miles away. There is one on every corner and one in every other supermarket.

Anyway,I wouldn't be shocked if one of the Olsen girls agreed to do a few episodes. They both seem to like Stamos and the others.

  25. You know what cracks me up about this? Stamos hatedFull House and was trying to get out of it at the time of its cancellation! He was the main reason NBC didn't pick it up when ABC couldn't afford it anymore. I can't believe he's hurting for money either.

The Trollsons are not needed. The producers can hire some more attractive blonde actress to play Michelle, who is nearly 30 anyway.

  26. I wonder if Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky will still be living in the attic? Did Joey ever get to move out?
