Blind Items Revealed

January 16, 2014

This foreign born B- list mostly movie actor who willingly gave up A-/B+ list status is a cranky guy. Very cranky. Doing press for his new movie that no one will go see he has been confronted by fans of his past effort that made him famous. If you are lucky he will ignore your requests to have him sign something related to his past effort. If you are not so lucky he will yell at you. Tell you to get a f**king life is one of his favorite expressions. The accent makes it more sinister. Don't worry fans. In a few years he will be at conventions posing for photos and signing autographs at $20 a pop and pretending he loves you.

  4. Never watched the show.

  5. He's the one who got too big for his britches and thought he didn't need Downton Abbey anymore. Spoiler Alert: He was wrong.

They made sure to kill him off the show real good too!

  6. This blind was written by a disappointed fan when he learn Steven dropped Downtown Abbey

  7. Assuming it's Downton Abby fans he gets pissed at, since he's no longer on that & there is nothing else that's he's been in that would give him fans.

  10. No he was doing press earlier this year for an indie movie and his people told interviewers no DA questions at all

  11. I enjoyed his dying guy bit. At least Mickey knew better than to leave Disney & then bitch about it.

  12. Caitlin Bruce was the only one to get this right! Good job!

  13. He was a schmuck the way he left the show. Dropped his leaving on their lap at last minute, then refused to come back the next season for even one scene to explain his absence. Karma's a bitch Dan! BUT MATTHEW WAS SO NICE!!!

  17. he already IS signing autographs but for $10.00 not $20.00...Actually,he was EXTREMELY gracious @Sundance Film Fest.while promoting "The Guest"-he was good in it too.He was also really nice to fans after his play the night I saw him on Broadway so,...just saying what I've witnessed is very disparate to this BI.

  19. Is it wrong for me to have a crush on Lord Grantham? I think he's adorable when he looks lovingly at Cora.

  20. I am absolutely obsessed with Downton Abbey. Can re-watch it endlessly.

I cannot bear to think that Matthew is a turd in real life, no no no.

...but then again, I've heard other things to that effect. He was absolutely nuts to leave. But ironically, his leaving ended up being very good for the show.

  21. @Topper, I'll fight you for Lord Grantham. ;-)

For some reason my favorite characters are Lady Edith and Thomas.

I love that film! My favourite Altman.
I was excited when Downton started as the writer, Julian Fellowes, wrote the screenplay for Gosford Park. But I gave up on it after... three episodes, I think(?).

  25. Eeek! Thank you for that, @ClaireFrasier (and I love that reference in your name, btw). I am going to go seek it out this minute.

  26. What an ass! I was never into him, maybe because his facial bone structure was classic patrician. MIA. Fat. Rob James-Collier and Ed Speelers are way hotter.

  27. I still love him!
