Blind Items Revealed

May 6, 2014

Although every person in first class knew who he was, this sometime A+ list mostly movie actor, who is an Academy Award winner/nominee insisted that everyone call him Frank. He would only respond to that and when someone would ask him if he was________, he would get angry and say his name was Frank. Crazy.

Nicolas Cage

  1. I just loved him in Valley Girl when I was a teenager. He's never lived up to that since, though Birdy and Moonstruck came close.

    4. Valley Girl 4ever! I dated a guy in HS who was a Nic Cage in Valley Girl lookalike (not for a job, just damn - looked just like him). So yeah, that movie takes me back - super hot times to the max.

    1. @Crila "Nicolas Coppola"

Ok actually it's "Nic Cage," but when I went to write "his real name" in response I remembered that is not in fact his actual name.

  6. I confess, I'd call him Frank if he wanted. Raising Arizona is my favorite movie of all time, and I loved The Rock, Face/Off, Leaving Las Vegas, and who can forget Con Air?

That Wicker Man movie was 11,000 kinds of stupid, though.

  10. He got famous playing pretty much the same crazy guy over & over. Which wasn't all that far from what he was.

  11. Crazy would be if he said his last name was "N. Beans".

  12. Umm hello, let's not forget about Peggy Sue Got Married! That's a Classic! Charlie and his nasal voice.

  13. @Jessi, Peggy Sue! I loved that one, too!

I confess, I'm probably one of the few people on earth who liked Ghost Rider. Sam Elliot, Wes Bentley, and Donal Logue! I also liked Lord of War.

    1. I was appalled they brought him back to do another Ghost Rider movie. I remember when he wanted to be cast as Superman. *shudder*

  14. Stein. Frank Stein...

I never liked him, never got the appeal. Probably because I grew up with so many dumb apes like him.

  18. There's a fine line between eccentric talented artist and crazy pain-in-the-ass, & he left the former behind to board the crazy train quite some time ago.

  19. Rode in a small elevator with him at the St Regis in NYC years ago. I didn't acknowledge that I knew who he was. When I entered the elevator he politely asked what floor I needed and then made idle chit chat about the weather. Boring, I know.

  20. He isnt firing on all pistons, thats forc sure. Frank it is then.

  21. I'd start asking if he was Dustin Hoffman, Tom Hanks, or Channing Tatum -- anyone famous but Nic Cage. Or Frank.

  22. I believe he's "Frank" in a role being filmed in LaLa Land, some devil worship movie???

Someone please verify this for me, I'd like to be right once.

I was going to do a profile on him but his management insisted I call him Mr Cage, so I said forget it.
