Blind Items Revealed

February 14, 2014

This B list celebrity/reality star paid two women $10K each and another woman an undisclosed amount to keep quiet about their previous sexual relationships. That virginity claim needed to be protected to ensure the big payday and the paydays in the future from his prospective employer who loves that he stayed a virgin until he was married.

  1. I thought he claimed to be a born again virgin? Not an actual one?

  6. @Junior, the Tim Tebow of reality TV.

    They could have Bibles, but not cell phones.

    I never understand how/why people talk about virginity like it's a prize in a Cracker Jack box. The only people who need to know about your sexual history are your doctor and your SO.

    1. Agree. These people need something to make themselves superior over the rest of humanity. Douchebag. I don't hear the Pope flaunting about his perpetual virginity.

  7. I wake up every morning as a born again virgin. Each time is extra special with my hubby. :)

    Seriously, though, I don't see the point. It's been done. No need to act like it didn't happen. You only draw more attention to the fact that you did.

  8. So, who was the prospective employer? 'The Bachelor'?
    I mean no disrespect, but does this mentality (which I recognize is a minority) exist in any other Western countries? Because if a 30ish British celebrity talked about their virginity/born-again virginity, they would be roundly mocked.

  15. Yoj: Hell yeah it does. Muslim countries. Men aren't supposed to have sex before marriage. They don't suffer for it like women do, but it's still very frowned upon. A long long time ago a British-Pakistani politician -- I want to say it was Imran Khan but don't trust me on this, I could be totally wrong -- had a situation where the media found out he had an illegitimate (i hate that word) daughter and he had to step very carefully so as not to ruin his career or even face physical attacks because of it.

    I think American fundies obsess over sex because it's so easy to catch people at. Physical sins are very obvious, while spiritual sins -- cruelty, selfishness, anger, etc. -- are not. A lot of people think of sin as a behavior.

    Of course, I could be wrong. But Jesus didn't talk about sex all that much. He was way more concerned with peoples' hearts and minds and treatment of others.

    @Kinsey Holley
    Thank your for taking the time to answer my question. I heartily agree with you, Kinsey. Not all so-called Christians seem to realize that one can sin within the heart and mind.

    It's tricky, sugarbread, because on the one hand I hate celebrities manipulating their own fan base and (in cases such as these) taking advantage of people's faith. But on the other hand, I resent how much influence the small-minded have over our culture.
