This A list reality star thinks she is going to get a huge deal signed and make a lot of money. Not so fast. The woman behind the throne of the decision making still hasn't forgiven our reality star for treating her like crap when the reality star thought the decision maker was a regular person. She even made the decision maker cry.

ReplyDeleteThere was an article, I don't remember where, that talked about how before Wintour took over Vogue, there were only models on the cover. Now it's almost entirely celebrities, and even people in the fashion world don't take Vogue seriously anymore.

ReplyDeleteI think karma is for the next life, not this life. Either that or it just doesn't exist. There are too many horrible people who have nice lives, and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteKendall Jenner is the plainest plain who ever plained and no way could she be a models without her connections. Granted she is not actually ugly like Rumer Willis or something but she's no model.
I think karma exists but you may not always see it. No way will a Kardashian let you see negative happenings in their life. That doesn't fit with the image they are trying to create. They spin everything. No way are they happy, or even a fraction of how happy they pretend to be. Same with other horrible people that appear to have good lives. Some people are good at an image (famous or not) and put out there that they are doing grand when in fact, behind closed doors, life sucks.

ReplyDeleteAnd it goes beyond the magazine. Wintour worked with designers, stylists and agents to create the red carpet industry. It's made a lot of people a lot of money, at the cost of the fashion industry's credibility.
A side effect has been the thinification of actresses (to wear the designer samples fresh from the runway they need to be the same size as the models).
@Violet, agree about Topshop & KK not being able to get her bum into anything they sell.
