Which A/B-list character actor who specialized in a certain genre for most of his career was also gay? It was kind of an open secret throughout Hollywood, even after he married that foreign-born character actress and lesbian. The same actor said that the best sex he ever had was with one of his early costars, this bisexual A-list foreign born leading man. He said he was hung like a horse.

ReplyDeletePerhaps Errol Flynn's issues came w/age and the accompanying years of alcohol abuse? While I don't know the precise nature of what booze does to male genitalia, I daresay it can't possibly have been good for Little (or Not-So-Little) Errol...
ReplyDeleteI also wish people didn't feel they had to label others (or label themselves) definitively as gay or straight; there are plenty of points along the Kinsey Scale that aren't 0 or 6, and they don't necessarily translate to "not being willing to come out as gay"; sometimes it just means that the person may click the best with one gender, but is still attracted to and occasionally involved with the other one as well. I have a number of friends who identify as bi, and others for whom it comes down to the individual partner, and it's not a matter of them "not knowing/not wanting to say what they want"--believe me, they know what they want.
Vincent Price was married 3 times and left his second wife for Coral Browne. Maybe he was bi but not 100% gay.
