Blind Item #6
As key as she is to the success of this very hit cable show, this multiple Emmy nominee/winner has been threatened with replacement on the show because her drinking is out of control and she has blacked out from drinking on set several times. She is a very rare visitor to the blinds and never about her drinking.

ReplyDelete@Simon, but maybe she had a contract for this season and they decided to not sign her for the new seasons bc of these issues. And...because she is Jessica Freakin Lange, they allowed her to bow out gracefully and not say that she was in fact fired.

Katey Segal, I don't think so. Her husband has been public with his own recovery and I just don't think she would. SOA is sadly ignored by the Emmys.
SOA NOT cancelled..the story is done just how it was all planned to end 7 seasons was it from the beginning

ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't they just go ahead and replace Sarah on AHS? They change the cast every season, so I wouldn't say that she's "key to its success."
ReplyDeleteHere to chime in with who it is not. It is not Katie S! First her husband is Kurt Sutter who writes and directs SOA so I highly doubt he replace her. And secondly this is the last season of SOA (I'm sooo sad) but it's not cancelled it's just how Kurt wrote it. Going out on top (at least with fans). It starts airing again next month so the filming is just about over. :(

Paulson is hardly key to the success of AHS. But Lange certainly is, but she has said she is leaving after this season and is going to retire altogether. I have seen a few interviews with Lange, and she usually seems hammered, but maybe she just is uncomfortable in interviews IDK. I think this is meant to be her.

Coming back late in game here..but Paulson doesn't really fit for a show with a rotating cast, and she's been in these blinds with her bisexual life (ex to chrry jones)

ReplyDeletePlus..think there was a reveal RE: Sarah Paulson and...another actress on way to Emmys..they' were hammered during red carpet interview..remember thinking they were lovers though they kept saying she a bestie...anyhew...reveal stated it was her who got smashed on way to awards show..I think..so she has been here for her drinking.

Her character Gemma is such a layered character-and she just kills it
I hate that she has never gotten Emmy credit-hate it

ReplyDeleteThis is Jessica's last season with AHS. Don't the actors on the show have contracts for one year at a time. sometimes they're on one season,sometimes not. I hope it's not Sarah. I love her and she was robbed the Emmys for her season as Lana.

ReplyDeleteOk this is not a perfect guess. She has Oscar and Golden Globe nominations as well. Also while her character is key to the show (but realistically replaceable), I can't really say she's key to the show's success. Lastly, I don't know if here were any BIs on her during BSG. I'll stick with it but I'm not exactly expecting it to be her.
