This former B list tweener who starred in two big shows for this tweener network is trying her best to not get sued for walking away from her new canceled show. Apparently the network wants to make her pay. My guess is she will end up being forced to do some other show for the network at a reduced rate to make amends.

ReplyDeleteI think the implication is that Nick decided she's to blame for Sam and Cat crashing and burning due to her rumored jealously and resentment at Ariana fir making more money than her , causing a rift and shutdown of show. Seems like the network is telling her if you want out of our contract do another show or forget about it
ReplyDeleteI think the story was that Season one was crazy big hit, they were going to give Grande huge raise, but not McCurdy, as they were unhappy with her undie pics online, even though it made no impact on the shows popularity. McCurdy quit the show, and then they had to decide to move forward with Grande only, or cancel altogether. They ended up cancelling. *Hangs head in shame*

DeleteActually sounds like JMcC may have beat them at their game. She should expose Ariana boinking the exec as the reason for that raise.
My guess is she will say yes, and Nickelodeon will let her her do other things to as well to make her happy.

ReplyDeleteWatching Jenette grow up on my tv, I can tell you that the young woman has some pretty sharp comic timing. Nick was really pushing it trying to keep those young women in their tween roles. Hard to see where Ms. McCurdy fits on Nick, but I would think that the Viacom universe might offer something.
