This A- list tv talk show host has been trying to hook up with this former A list tweener. The former tweener keeps turning the host down though because he is too old and doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut.
Long time lurker, 1st time commenter. I'll guess Nick cannon & Adrianna grande. Can't keep mouth shut being reference of MiMi being mad he made quotes on divorce before their joint statement.
If it is Zac Efron and Andy Cohen, then he's lying about age being an issue. The tattooed, white speedo-wearing back-flipping, yacht-owning Gianluca Vacchi is most definitely older than 46.
@Fancyfel---welcome! Hate to be the bad news bear though but don't think Ariana is a former A list (her star is just rising unfortunatly) I know I know we are a tough crowd ; )
!!! Please excuse me while I faint. I cant believe the CDaN-lebrities said hi to me! Thanks for the warm welcome and please take my words with the sincerity in which it is meant. After see your names for so long it's cool to jump into the conversation to your friendly posts.
Paging Lady H and Derek: Henry Rollins has posted an apology re: his "fuck suicide" rant in L.A. Weekly on his own website, and has promised to address the whole sorry business in his next LA Weekly column, which I think is tomorrow. He admitted he was an ass, apologized to everyone he hurt with his comments, and said he understood if people bailed on him over it--in other words, it was a real apology, not the standard half-assed "I'm sorry if you were offended" BS. For all his faults, Hank's a standup guy who takes responsibility when he fucks up, and is basically a pretty decent guy.
(I suspect the reference in the original column to getting shot while coming home w/groceries is a reference to his friend Joe Cole being murdered in front of him in exactly that scenario in December of 1991, and I can understand how, after having to clean your friend's blood and brains off your front lawn before his family gets there, you might be less than sympathetic to those who pull the plug on themselves. Yes, he did show his ass on this one, but at least he has the balls to admit he fucked up.)
Good for Henry Rollins then. As someone who once had to watch someone try to commit suicide by jumping in front of a subway train (and failing) Ive always been someone who doesn't condone that action. And it upsets me when someone does it, considers it or tries and fails. When I get that depressed I try to concentrate on what is good in my life.
@sandybrook, I'm intrigued by your post because I can't quite parse it.
Did the person succeed in jumping in front of the train, but fail at committing suicide? IOW maimed but not dead?
Or was the person so clumsy he/she tried to jump in front of the train, and failed...like, face plant against the side of the car because he timed it wrong?
@sandybrook Here in the UK, a man killed himself earlier this week by walking in front of a train driven by his ex-girlfriend. She was so distraught by what happened that she required sedation. When this manner of suicide (and the murder/suicide of "family annihilators") makes headlines it perpetuates the image of a suicidal individual as selfish rather than desperate.
Yes the person jumped in front of the train but only lost a leg and didn't die. There was absolutely no way the train could miss her she swandived off the platform and spread as far as she could. I cant even imagine what the driver went through and may still be going through.
Me too, Derek. I HeisenLove ALL of my CDaNers (I just found that GIF and am now obsessed, so sorry but you can now expect it in my regular circulation)
Thanks for that update @Robin! I always enjoy your posts and am glad to know he apologized. I am saddened by what he said last week, but I can totally buy his apology. I was very shocked that such an intelligent and passionate person would say something so lacking in compassion. Especially over depression. It makes sense he was just being angry and impulsive, I've always appreciated him for his frankness. Take it easy, Henry. And throw a much needed TV Party :)
I don't think his words lacked compassion, LadyH. The compassion was directed elsewhere.
Anyway, it was an interesting opinion and I'm not surprised he's come back with more on the subject. It's tricky, and one of those things not that easy to put in a box in real life.
Always the voice of reason, Sprink. I was just surprised Henry didn't express more empathy for Robin. I'm looking forward to reading his follow up article! :)
@SUGARTITTAYZ I WISH!!! I was thinking about going to his scavenger hunt on a Monday just for funsies. Sadly, I only met Aaron once and it was by pure luck. The event was originally supposed to be Dean, RJ and Betsy. Betsy couldn't make it at the last minute and Aaron swooped in to cover. Lauren was his gf at the time and sorry, but it was obvious they were both high off their asses and not prepared to be oot in public. Both were very kind and come on, he had the DANTE DEFENSE!!!
I've never worked on BB. One of my mentors did some consultant gigs for VG though. I'm just an over zealous fan girl who has attended BrBa events from time to time ;)
You know when Heath Ledger overdosed accidently(?) I recall a lot of people saying unkind things about him and his choices that led to his death. Heath had been battling depression as well, but nobody EVER appologized about those rude statements (most notably Jack Nicholson)
What Rollins said about Robin Williams was his initial (and uncensored) reaction and opinion. I think there may possibly be some validity to SOME of what he said but I think it comes back to this: Just because you're speaking the truth (maybe just YOUR truth) doesn't instantly make it okay to say it out loud in front of those you might offend.
Henry Rollins is pretty well known even notorious for stating his unvarnished opinion but even if he felt like he was speaking a complete truth, he should have at least slept on that opinion for a few days to see if he changed his mind about sharing it with the world.
Suicide makes me mad too. You can't take it back, there are no do-overs. It doesn't make sense to many of us. To someone not suffering from that kind of bleak depression it does seem unthinkable to do such a thing to your spouse and children. I'm glad that Henry came back and appologized for the rash way he addressed the subject. I'd say it's a symptom of our society in this day and age.
Social media. Anyone can get online, on Twitter or even (some) on TV and say whatever comes into their heads. It's a shame more folks don't think before they speak, think about the possible repercussions of their words. Seriously how many times do you get an honest to God apology from high profile people that screw up? No too damn often. Henry appologized so let's move on.
As for the actual question - Fallon & Selena Gomez were the first 2 that popped in my head. Isn't she back with Beiber (again?). Is Vanessa Hudgens an actual "singer" or did she primarily play one in HSM but didn't record anything else? Other than that? I got nothin.
Are any of them really singers? Does anyone else remember the fight between Gomez and Lovato? It cracked me up because neither one can sing without a studio
