Blind Item #10

This actor was probably the most popular actor on television for a decade. Now he is a B+ list mostly movie actor who is just as vile as he has always been. At a restaurant this week a waiter apologized for forgetting to bring some sweetener for the actor's coffee. The actor then yelled out after the retreating waiter, "Just like I'm going to forget your tip." The people with him were mortified. One of them later left the waiter a really nice tip because the actor did stiff the waiter on a $800 meal.

  1. Hope it's not Kiefer, who is at dinner in the DM
He's a drunk, not an asshole right?

  2. Woody Harrelson although I dont think he was on Tv for a decade.

  3. @sandybrook, Fonz is supposed to be nicest guy ever. They say he is even nicer than Ron Howard. Don't think it's him

  4. $800 meal in LAX is probably just a 5 peas in a bowl of low fat gravy. So overpriced there. No LA waiter can ever forget sweetener as nobody there uses actual sugar! LOL! Could be any actor. The all have their a-hole days. Even the nice ones.

  5. Zch B was never that popular as a TV actor. Scrubs never got good ratings, and moved around different Broadcast networks.

    1. @tru Any show on. 10 years is popular...whether it swithced or not...also his popularity and bankability as what allowed him to finance his directorial(and first starring film role)Garden state which was critically acclaimed

  6. Not Fonzie, I assume you jest sandybrook.

How long was Miami Vice on TV. Larry Hagman is dead right?

    1. Miami Vice was only about seasons, but what about that other show Don Johnson had?

Hagman - definitely dead. But I prefer to think Major Nelson is a long suffering sweetie-pie.

  7. Douchebag alert! I agree with Tricia, this sounds like Braff. I was trying to make Piven fit somehow but I guess he and Zach just attended the same classes at the Sean Penn School for Douchebaggery and Other Bad Things Too!

Grammar is still on tv in that show with Martin Lawrence, Kiefer is back on tv with the 24 reboot and the Fonz is on Royal Pains.

  8. What is it with rich celebrities not only being assholes to the wait staff, but stiffing them on the bill?

  9. Yeah I was joking about him but he was the most popular on Tv for a decade.
Imma throw Tim Allen into this also . Home Improvement was on a long time.

  10. Yes Simon I have heard the same. A humble wonderful guy from a friend of mine who had the pleasure of working with him.

  11. The Hoff? Knight Rider & Baywatch?

  12. Woody was on tv this past year with True Detective. Plus he's a pothead and I really wanna believe he's chillaxed even though I know better thanks to reading horror stories online.

  14. Makes me think Cheers but Ted Danson is supposedly very nice. Same for Allen Alda. Anyone hear anything different?

  15. *THE most popular* actor for a decade?
Knight Rider only ran 4 years, so it's not The Hoff. (ha!)
10+ year series with living actors I can think of:
    Friends
    Cheers
    Happy Days
    Married w/Children
    Grey's
    2.5 Men
But maybe he was on multiple series over a period of a decade. Still rules out The Hoff.

    It's probably Alf!

  22. Scrubs was on for 9 years and was not very popular.

    Highly doubt this is Braff.

  23. What's the name of the actor who starred in 'Everybody Loves Raymond'? Wasn't that huge in the U.S.?

  25. How about Mike Meyers? Didn't someone say he's not that nice behind the scenes?

  26. Derek was a sleepy head!

  27. Woody is supposed to be really relaxed all the yoga & pot.

I think Braff, I still remember him when they Punk'd him.

    ReplyDelete
  28. @sheely shell...100% I remember it too. his half sister jessica kirson is a working stand up(one of my Dear friends who is also a comedien) is her BFF...he's stayed in his LA home with him...and well just say...gracious is not a word used too often for him, though they did stay there. he also never helped her in any way....though maybe that's common in his world.
In short, he's a prick so this surprises me negative

    ReplyDelete
  29. Braff is wonderful with his fans. I don't see him acting that way.

    ReplyDelete
  30. How about Ashton Kutcher? Decade made me think of "That 70's Show".

  31. I cant get beyond $800 meal!!! Jebus, wth?!!

  32. Alan Alda?? M*A*S*H.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @reno...he kinda has to be nice to his fans, it's orchestrated, in the same way he has to be really nice to all the people who give him money to make films on kick starter...it's the real people, or candid moments that engine a person more I think....like the saying I love-character is what you do (or don't do in this case)when you think noones watching...

  34. Winkler, Danson, Ramono = All Nice!!

    Is Seinfeld in any movies?

    @ SaNDY b
I think Tim Allen is a great guess. That line also sounds like his "humor"
Tool Time was huge and he was prob TV A++ at that time. And he's done a few movies and voices - i think this fits him very well.

    1. @SYf..the only movies Allen has made in last..dunno 4/5 years were strictly VO..which would be indicated..it's a totally different medium of acting...except something callwdr old geezers..just can't see him.being a current B+ film actor:(

  35. Woody Harrelson is really nice. He used to come to our Hotel in Palm Springs. He was nice to everyone and paid his bill. He also didn't have some douche call us in advance with a list of demands he needed or need flowers in every room (including the bathrooms, lookin at you Sharon asshole Stone.) Or need his hairdresser flown 90 minutes for 1500.00 dollars he didn't pay (lookin at you John asshole Travolta) who were both supposedly in town for charity events and didn't pay for a damn thing. #notwoody

  37. Why drink coffee if you need to add sweetener?

    ReplyDelete
  38. How about Burt Reynolds? Many stories of him having been a dick.
He's an icon, could still have B+ status.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I've heard 1 story of ZB being shitty and he even corrected the guy on reddit who had lied about his behavior in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  40. That's far more reliable than candid footage or first hand knowledge

    ReplyDelete
  41. Not Braff - he was a waiter for years and I don't know of one single ex-waiter to is mean to wait staff.

    ReplyDelete
  42. No way was Zach Braff ever the most popular actor on tv. He's always been a hornball douche and was far less popular than other actors who were on tv at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @unknown...respectfully...Russell Crowe, Marisa tomeii, and Kelsey grammar were all waiters too, and notoriously...twatty.
I awaited, myself, on two of the aforementioned

  44. Sadly, no correlation, though everyone should be kind to their servers in general, and people....this blind is real but peoples assessments of who it is and why...is unreal, and baffling.
A jag offs a jag off...whether born with a silver spoon(every hilton/kardashian/political types(I digress), as are struggling actors who waited tables...they aren't exempt.
Edie falco for example has been as unpleasant in her success, as she was a as a NYC waitress..character is character- or lack therof

  45. Scrubs star Zach Braff is set to become one of the highest-paid actors on TV if the hit sitcom gets renewed by NBC for a seventh season.
According to sources, the 31-year-old actor has landed a deal that will earn him around $350,000 per episode for the 2007-08 season.
The new deal will put him in the top echelon of highest-paid male actors on television, alongside Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen, whose paycheck is also in the $350,000-per-episode range.
Braff, who also wrote, directed and starred in the 2004 independent romantic comedy Garden State, plays Dr. John 'J.D.' Dorian on the show.

  55. If 30 ROCK was on LONGER .. 2006-2013.. I would say BALDWIN.. BUT.. when was he NOT KNOWN for being a DICK???

    ReplyDelete
  56. I don't believe it was KIEFER.. he might be a heavy drinker.. but he is a happy drunk.. and I have only seen nice things written about him.. Yes, he drops his pants.. but that is the worst..

Other LONG TERM SHOW actors? Willis? (though, is he B-?), Majors, Johnston (sp?), Harrelson and the rest of the crew from 'CHEERS'.., We also have, of course, TIM ALLEN.. but, he is back on TV, but he DOES have a lot of NASTY rumors surrounding him.. did have the 'SANTA CLAUSE' movies.. but then..??? Kelsey Grammer is returning to TV is some show I can't even remember the title of.. ANOTHER JERK!! So, both of them have had to 'LOWER THEMSELVES' and return to TV..so either ALLEN OR GRAMMER with BRAFF (sp?) as the dark horse.. SINCE I never thought of him as 'the most popular.."

  57. @Luna: Only seen nice things? Google Freddie Prinze Keifer Sutherland. It was only a week or 2 ago.
