Blind Item #10

This B+ list USA actor who you actually heard of before his current show is shacking up with his niece. He thinks it is fine because she is not blood related. She is barely legal and it has been going on for almost six months. He introduces her as his girlfriend but sometimes she lets it slip they are related.

  2. I'm not fond of incest blinds. I know not blood related, but still a family member by marriage.

    2. I am thinking this is supposed to be a USA-original show (Psych, Suits, etc), not one in syndication like L&O.

  6. USA makes me think of Jeffrey Donovan and it's not true, Michael Weston would never!

  7. USA actors who would be previously known:
    Corbin Bernsen
    Bruce Campbell
    Henry Winkler
    Peter Gallagher

  8. Henry Winkler has been happily married for decades.

  9. Why hasn't this worked like a Bat-Signal for Count Jerkula?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Not Bruce or Donovan, as it's a current show. Burn Notice ended. On a side note, Jeffrey Donovan is an enormous *bellend*

  11. This could be any one of hundreds, lets be honest. Unless the USA is meant be some big clue.

  12. oh right. It is a big clue. Tom Ellis.

  13. Don't forget Campbell Scott

    SPOILER
    leaving Royal Pains

But I don't think he has a niece.

His dad was the amazing George C Scott and his mom was the equally amazing Colleen Dewhurst (Melinda in Anne of Green Gables).

    Factoids:

Has an older brother: writer and theatrical stage manager, Alexander Scott; a half-sister: stage and TV actor Devon Scott and two other half-siblings: Matthew and Victoria Scott.

  14. This is not incest so who cares. I'm more freaked that Campbell Scott is leaving the show? Does that mean Hank Med has to move?

  15. Lady- I'm just going to leave Urban Dictionary open today.

Bellend -Another word that I didn't know, but if I had a picture to see (ala Gordon Ramsey on the DM), I would have got it!

  17. Didn't Goldbloom just get engaged to a 30 something yoga instructor?

    ReplyDelete
  18. @WhatsNew, right? Again?! I think they may spin it so Boris leaves everything to HankMed (again) and they don't have to leave.

Also, Campbell Scott is a brilliant narrator. He did "Oryx and Crake" by Margaret Campbell and I could listen to it all day and not got anything done.

I may have a crush on you now.

  21. @Yoj, I love Margaret Atwood! Handmaid's Tale was my first and I've been hooked ever since. Year of the Flood wasn't my favorite, but I did like MaddAdam.

And in case you or any other Atwood fans didn't know, MaddAdam is being developed a show for HBO by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, Black Swan, that hideous Noah movie).

    1. I am a huge Atwood groupie. Love her. Have most of her books. Also love Aronofsky : I think he will do MaddAdam justice. Squeal!

  22. This is the ultimate "almost" BI: "Almost incest" and "almost pederast", but neither of the premises is actually in, therefore nothing important is happening.

I would rather 'Oryx and Crake' had been a standalone novel.
First world problem: the occasional disappointment because a beloved author sets the bar so high.

I still haven't forgiven Aronofsky for depicting the Nephilim as ROCK MONSTERS!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh man, the rock monsters! And the flood coming from below, and that seed thing, and the trees. I was MST3K the whole time and I'm a Russell Crowe fan.

I agree, Oryx and Crake as a standalone would have been perfect. Year of the Flood with the songs bored me, it felt so contrived. I liked the general idea of the story, but not the execution.

@msgirl, ^5! And I misspelled it twice, it's MaddAddam, from the game they played in the first book. And THIS!

Margaret Atwood’s Game Is Here And It’s Awesome

  29. Took my a couple days to comment on Robin William"s passing. My friend worked on TheCrazy Ones. He has known "that" actress for years. Getting back on point. He has said Robin was a class act, kind, generous, very emotionally supportive of my friend when that friend was going through a tough illness. The cast and crew on The Crazy Ones are devastasted and gutted that Robin in no longer in the world. Very sad in Los Angeles. God Rest his soul.

    1. Circe, what did your friend have to say about "that" actress? Or are you referring to your friend? The whole world is heartbroken over Robin but I would presume nowhere more profoundly than the city of his industry. It's gonna hurt me for a long, long time. Can anyone just imagine the memorial?

  30. I read a novel of Margaret Atwood which probably overly influenced my world view from that point. I was very impressionable in those days.

    The Edible Woman.

  31. LLCoolJ has been married to the same woman for many years and has at least two beautiful daughters. I can't imagine he would do something as nasty as this. In fact, I don't think it's nice to even make guesses about this.

  32. Goldblum's woman is 31. Winkler and LL Cool J are happily married.
I kinda don't wanna guess either.

  33. She's barely legal, they've been dating for 6 months, and they've know each other for years because they are related my marriage. Really disturbing. He groomed her. He waited until she was legal so he wouldn't go to jail. Sick.

'The Edible Woman' really resonates, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Me
Yes. It's the Woody Allen rationale.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Eh, I can't get upset until I know more details. I mean, how long have they been related? I'm guessing not long if no one knows they're step uncle and niece. It sounds like she's legal and he likes her, so no judgment here today.

    1. Suge, read it too. Apparently he spent two weeks on vacay with family, drinking and partying the whole time. Boat docked, and went iff to rehab to dry out. Either theres more to his drinking than was made known, or, what i think is he prob has a movie to show up for. Goes to dry dock, dries out, fasts, loses a few pounds, loking good and off to the set.

    My favourite of your poems:

    Hardwood floors,
Maybe a throw rug from time to time, but
    Hole to hole only occasionally
    In the winter

    It is easier
For chicks to shave smooth, cause
They can wear thongs to soak up
    Ass crack sweat

Honestly, that one brought a tear to my eye.

  52. @Yoj: Don't pigeon hole me. 31, 5'10 and non drug addict are all doable. Airfare and common sense are potential deal breakers though.
