  27. Golden Retriever Rescue of Fairbanks, Alaska. Our rescue dogs (some are Golden or Golden at heart - how adorable is my local organization!) They make the greatest loving family members and each have their own unique personalities that make them fun, interesting and so lovingly adorable.
We also foster dogs for our local GRRF organization. It's extremely rewarding and so gratifying to see a sweet dog go to the perfect home picked out with their needs in mind.

They rescue dogs from across the state and various animal shelters. One of our dogs came from Nome, Alaska. They address and treat immediate and potential long term medical needs that the dogs may have (to include dental exams), make certain all shots are up to date, all services are provided at no charge to the potential Forever Family as they are a non-profit organization that constantly raises funding, awareness, provides education and teaches skills to dog parents, they also rely heavily on donations. They work directly with a highly skilled staff, the manager has and trains Search & Rescue dogs, plus it's affiliated with top notch veterinarians that also volunteer their services to assist with the Iditarod and Yukon Quest. Fairbanks has some of the most skilled canine doctors in the world.

Golden Retriever Rescue of Fairbanks also screens their Forever Families, primarily for the safety of the dogs, but to make certain that the best match for dog and family needs are met for best long term happiness of both. Greatest group of professionals I have ever been involved with.

Support your own local Animal Shelter or Rescue Group. They need volunteers as much as they do donations of money or other needs food, beds, towels, toys, bowls, etc. (Call before donating directly as places vary in what they can accept - besides time or money).

Please adopt animals from shelters and rescue organizations. If animals aren't adopted from most shelters within a set amount of days, they are killed. They will love you forever and your life will be so enriched and blessed.

  39. The open JonBenet Ramsey homicide case. I ask people to not give up on Justice for JonBenet. The case is about 80-90 percent there, it needs two key things to happen 1) a match made somehow to DNA (believed by most people including me to be transfer) that has not matched anyone tested in this case, that is located on a spot on her underwear, and on both sides of the waistbands of the longjohns she was wearing. That DNA has sat in CODIS for the last 10 years with no match to anyone. Second, the police needs to know who did what and what happened to cause the death of JonBenet. These are what is needed for an indictment and indictments in that case. Hollywood people, take a look at this case. It's one of the worst cases ever of the influence of a suspect's money, the Ramseys, on the criminal justice system. Only 30 miles from Boulder, a similar case of a black child missing and believed murdered by her father and step mother, Aarone Thompson, there were indictments of the parents without a body. They are just too scared to do that in Boulder, plus you do need to know who that MINUTE amount of DNA I mentioned belongs to and how it got there. Hollywood writers, this is one of the great cases of our lifetime, a GREAT story. Please keep Justice for JonBenet in your prayers so this case can be prosecuted. The killer or killer has gotten away with murder for almost 18 years, that is unacceptable.

In the recent Cooper Harris case where a baby died in a hot car, the mother talked about all the things he would not have to go through if he had lived. Patsy Ramsey said almost the exact same thing days after JonBenet's murder in a CNN interview on 1/1/97.
