  1. Fuck Michelle Dockery.

    Tatiana was robbed.

  2. Robin Wright! That is all. Get it, girl.

  3. I am happy about True Detective. However, The Emmy's are a joke. Its all about the cool kids getting nominated. Tatiana was definitely robbed.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I agree Tatiana was robbed. Whos dick do the producers have to suck to get Modern Family constantly nominated?! That show is the WORST. GIRLS should have been nominated for best comedy instead---and glad to see a nom for Adam Driver---not that I care about this crap

  5. Christ. I need a drink to focus on this list. Space bar is your friend, Enty!

There's so much good TV. I feel like I need to watch more of this stuff. Downton Abbey and Newsroom and Mad Men are the only three that get my undivided attention.

Modern Family was awful this year. Agree!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Meh. Even thought the writing wasn't that good I hope Kerry Washington wins. I've had enough of Claire Daines,Robin Wright and every actor on Downton Abbey.

  7. So much good TV.
Shame that Tatiana didn't get a nom.
Lead Actress categories has some stiff competition but I think Kerry is gonna win for Scandal.

  8. No Criminal Minds?

    1. Agree Criminal Minds is worthy but competition is steep here. Breaking Bad, True Detective, House of Cards don't give Criminal Minds much of a chance. I think they would be in the game if pay channels like Showtime and HBO had a separate category.

  9. Holy wall of text, Batman! The Joker has stolen our Enter key again, making formatting impossible!

  10. I went thru every category and Tatiana didn't get a nom?( hey, if OITNB is a comedy, Tati could be nommed for Best Supporting herself.) This list is so 2000 and late...1/3 rd of these shows have ended! Lets get some pump to the good but struggling shows!
I don't care that I'm not rational, neither are they.
If One actress Playing (9?) distinct Clones of her character and making them all unique and tracking while playing a green screen, DOESN'T GET AN EMMY NOMINATION, Who DOES she have to blow? Insanity, I rest my case

    1. Yup. I agree with everything you've said.

I'm honestly starting to believe that she is just too talented and Hollywood is afraid of her. The acting industry is all about who you know and connections and I can only IMAGINE how many actresses and their people are moving and shaking behind the scenes to make sure that this powerhouse "nobody" isn't ever allowed to overshadow them. For real. There can be no other explanation.

  11. Tatiana was robbed.

    again. Fuckers.

  12. Where the hell is Sons of Anarchy?! No wonder Kurt Sutter is so mad.

And having Mindy Kaling reading the noms, and not giving her one, just plain rude guys.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anyone hear about Courtney Love joining SOA? That should be rad!

    ReplyDelete
  14. So question ... Tatiana is awesome on Orphan Black but it's a British produced show right ?
So is it not eligible for an Emmy ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. AJ it's eligible, was just overlooked. There are a few Canadian, UK shows/actors/etc who were nominated.

      Delete
    2. TY Wiggs :-)
That's what I thought but I wasn't sure. I was thinking of why it wouldn't have been nom vs the other two.
I know Downton & Sherlock are on PBS but filmed in UK while OB is on BBCAMERICA here.
It's a darn shame bc although all of these shows are great, OB has been hitting it out of the park.

  15. Gotta give it to Bryan C, and I think Anna G (smart they went supporting instead of lead), and Aaron P. And BB best drama. This past season was amazing even as amazing as all the other seasons have been. Ozymandias episode goes down with Whitecaps Sopranos as likely the two best episodes of any drama IMO.

  16. I thought Orphan Black is Canadian

    ReplyDelete
  17. Being Canadian has nothing to do with it. Luther,Sherlock Holmes and Downton Abbey are all shows filmed and produced in the UK and they were still nominated.

    ReplyDelete
  18. WHERE IS ORPHAN BLACK

I feel like this list looks the same every year and I can already tell you who is going to win. Hint: the same people that won last year and the year before and the year before.

    1. J Sierra, I KNOW! FGS why don't we just have a Last Season/ Ended category so we can get some new blood?
AND IF I SEE JIM PARSONS ONE MORE TIME.... I can't be held responsible. Did he lose a bet and is Forced to be the onlt Nominee for the whole show? His schtick is old news and his nom is kneejerk. Just like Modern Family...

  19. Matthew M v Bryan Cranston is going to be a tough call. Both were brilliant. Cranston would get the sentimental vote for his farewell except that this is the only season of True Detective for MM

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. JenX I was wondering the same thing. But Cranston has already won 3x for Walter White and enough time has passed that maybe some sentimentality has worn off.

      Delete
  20. And I'm very jealous of Chiwetel Ejiofor. I want to be sandwiched between Benedict Cumberbatch and Idris Elba!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anything and everything with breaking bad mentioned in nonimnation shld win. It was SUPERB. In every way. Period.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Always the same names year after year.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Good for William H. Macy (finally) but No Tatiana? The Academy is smoking Rob Ford's crack.

I'm glad the love for Big Bang Theory is dying. That show is terrible now. Same with Modern Family, or as my aunt calls it, THE Modern Family which always amuses me.

    Awesome for the OITNB gang.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Until the asexual pride of Chiliwack - Murdock of Murdock Mysteries -is nominated the Emmys are a joke. Time for a cuppa Tim Hortons.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Just mail the trophies to True Detective and Matthew M now.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, True Detective and OITNB will win everything. Everyone else can stay home.

Poor Emmy Rossum and Kaley will never get nominated. Maybe they can pull a Heigl and blame the writers.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Can someone please explain to me how royally the F**K the incomparable Tatiana Maslinany was snubbed?!?!? That woman is a mind blowing POWERHOUSE whose talent half of Hollywood could only dream of possessing a piece of.

And don't even get me started on how the incredible Bellamy Young was passed over yet AGAIN. What are these Emmy voters thinking??? It's always the same nominees: Julianna Marguilies, Claire Danes (great but, ugh), Kerry Washington, etc.

If you've ever seen Bellamy in interviews, her bubbly, bright, super "girly" personality makes it immediately clear that the woman is an unreal performer who acts circles around the admittedly great Kerry Washington in her role as Mellie.

I'm still on your side ladies...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm with you Jason. I never fell into the hype of Big Bang Theory. Pretty blah crap show.

If this also means that Kelly chick will not have photos of her buying coffee all the time or looking trashy, I will be one happy lady.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I LOVE True Detective and McConaughey but I'm sad both he and Woody can't win as a tandem. McConaughey's role was the most difficult by far among the nominees. Bryan C was great, but Walter White was a role that was so well written, it could have conceivably been played by any other very good actor. Rust Cohle was a minefield. Can't imagine another actor pulling it off.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oops
Seems Renner missed out for his appearance on Louie

    ReplyDelete
  31. Depressed that this will be the final season of Newsroom. The show is phenomenal.

Rooting for Matthew M. Rust Cohle was a perfect role for him.

Re: Criminal Minds...did you see that Jennifer Love Hewitt has a starring role in the new season. Barf. Please don't jump the shark by adding the damn Ghost Whisperer.

    1. Noooooo! JLH does not belong on Criminal Minds - except maybe as a victim. Or the Unsub.

  32. The writers of Shameless took Emmy's character Fiona and put her through hell and back and she still couldn't get a nom. Hoo-Boy, I can't wait to see what they do with Fiona next year.

    ReplyDelete
  33. First post! But I just had to say how HAPPY I am that Allison Janney got the nod for her role on Mom. She makes that show. I can't remember the last time I cared enough about the Emmys, but I have really been waiting to hear about this year just because of what she brings to that role.

    ReplyDelete
  34. TATIANA MASLANY

    seriously wtf

she wins The Critics' Choice and TCA and no nom here

    that's just messed up

    ReplyDelete
  35. and I agree that Emmy should be on that list also

    ReplyDelete
  36. this wasn't Kerry Washington's best year on Scandal-sorry

    much better last year

expect Robin to take this although Juliana M. should

    ReplyDelete
  37. can you tell I feel strongly about this?

I agree with the Bellamy Young thing too-wtf??? I love her

and Matthew will get the win over Cranston but I love both performances

    Claire Danes is over

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lollerskating past Kaley to high five Mayim once again...

    ReplyDelete
  39. @raja - the Academy is prejudiced against Canadians because of Bieber. It's his fault. I blame him.

You're right - it IS messed up. Helena should pay them a visit.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yay for Downton Abbey nom and for Maggie Smith (w00t), but then Joanna Froggatt was also fantastic on DA this year too, hmm, that's a hard one.

    ReplyDelete
  41. And happy Mayim Bialik got a nom too. Agreed that BBT is getting lame, but Kaley Cuoco is by FAR the weakest member of that ensemble, and Mayim is by far the best.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Did Claire Danes scream "He! Is! A! Terrorist!!" last season or was it "He! Is! An! Asset!!"?

Homeland was background noise during study sessions it's first 2 seasons and that is the only thing Danes screaming about terrorists and assets is all I can remember about it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Jason-she should indeed :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. I can't believe 7 has not shown up with the Rage and Rath of all hell about orphan black.
    Ducks for cover.

    1. On that note I am pulling for Cersei and Tyrion Lannister.

    2. @Sugarbread, where I'm at, the Internet connection stinks. I had a great gif for the Bieber post and then the connection died. Blargh!

I can't believe they shut Tatiana down AGAIN. She qualifies (they took out an Emmy ad for her) and yet we get Kate Burton, the uptight veep on Scandal who has two settings.

This is why we can't have nice things!

  45. See this is my crowd, outraged over Tat and OB being robbed. Yay us.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Cheers:
    - Steve Buscemi for Portlandia - the "Celery" episode is brilliant!
    - Cat Deeley for hosting SYTYCD
    - Kate McKinnon for SNL

    Jeers for the snubs:
    - Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black
    - Bellamy Young for Scandal

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not a single nomination for Sons of Anarchy? In my opinion that is enough to totally delegitimize the entire operation. F*** the Emmys. I'm with @LaurenTurner on this.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think Matthew McConaughey's wig deserves an Emmy of it's very own. I found myself absolutely fascinated by it and of course he deserves one too
, but it's all about the wig baby!

  50. I am completely unsettelingly angry that Tatiana was snubbed.

I also agree with Bellamy and Sons of Anarchy being snubbed horribly.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I am personally sad that James Spader wasn't on the list. Or The Blacklist. I looove that show.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I find it crazy that shows such as Criminal Minds and Blacklist were ignored. Some of the acting was stellar on them this year.

    ReplyDelete
  53. The Americans should have been nominated instead of Downton Abbey. Matthew "YOU RESPECT JESUS BUT NOT US!!" Rhys and Keri Russell should have been nominated as well.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Breaking Bad -> True Detective -> The Americans -> Mad Men

    ReplyDelete
  55. 7.. i was in shock you weren't here frist!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Year after year Kurt Sutter and the Sons of Anarchy get screwed. :(
