This B list mostly movie actress who is that high only because of her name and not talent got into an argument because she tried to go into a mosque in shorts and a t-shirt and didn't know why she couldn't.
@Orvilla: I don't even care if my pecker found its way to her gullet. She could yap all she wants. I would zone out the rest of the world and it would just be my face and her hindquarters.
I went to Turkey and had a similar experience. I was dressed way more modestly than shorts and a t-shirt - honestly, I don't blame her at all for getting into an argument. I had a horrible experience in Istanbul just because I'm a blonde American.
@AD I'm not blonde but I've had similar experiences. The worst was Athens and I'm part Greek.
As for Alba, when I was a young dumb teenager I too took huge offense at having to put on one of the mosque robes when none of the men in tee shirts did. I was wearing a sleeveless dress but still!
If you go to a different country, you should respect their culture. Getting into an argument over it makes you look like the stereotypical idiot American. Alba is a dumbass.
Wow, she really IS dumb. I honestly thought she just looked that way (not throwing shade, really, she actually looks like she's dumb to me. I guess you CAN judge a book by its cover!)
She could come back to Oklahoma to film again--oh wait, she can't--she pissed everyone off by plastering save the shark posters all over downtown Oklahoma City. Ya know, cause we Okies are big shark killers and we need to change our ways. http://www.celebitchy.com/54869/jessica_alba_apologizes_for_plastering_great_white_shark_posters_around_oklahoma_city/ Sorry, forgot how to make clicky!
No. While I don't agree with having to be covered as a woman if I'm entering their place of worship I'd do as they ask. Just like I wouldn't go into a Catholic Church improperly dressed. You show respect or you don't go it's really that simple.
When we got married in Roswell New Mexico, you couldn't enter the court in a sleeveless shirt/dress. I was dressed very nice but if I hadn't brought my shawl they would have kicked my ass out. It's a respect thing there and it was something they warned us about when we called to inquire about what was needed to get married in court. I wouldn't argue with the court and I certainly wouldn't argue with a place of worship. Their house, their rules.
She couldn't get into the Vatican in that get up. What makes her think she could get into a mosque? She's pretty and all, but apparently doesn't read much.
Alba a truly UGLY AMERICAN! WTF why don't people understand how to behave in countries they are going to? In many countries she would have been beaten with sticks for being so disrespectful, she's lucky she was in a larger city in Turkey or she would have gotten a donkey beat down.
Seriously, wow. I went to Turkey a few years ago and they had a bin full of large, blue cloths for women to cover themselves with. I had brought a smaller shawl that didn't cover all of my shoulders and they told me I had to wear what they had. And I did - not because I think women should be covered, or because it wasn't hot as hell there, or because I'm not kind of grossed out by wearing random clothes. But because it's part of the culture that I wanted to experience, and was necessary, and I'm not so entitled as to think anyone is going to bend centuries old cultural norms for me. Ugh.
Side note - you also have to take off your shoes, so don't be like me and wear sandals (and not bring socks). I still cringe. The carpets were really plush though.
what heritage is her daughter and baby daddy? I don't know much about this sorta thing but if is her daughters culture---double shame...
ReplyDeleteI think Cash Warren is Cuban-American
Delete@Derek His father is actor Michael Warren, who, in addition to being hot, is a really cool dude
DeleteJust googled and found this: His father is African-American actor Michael Warren, and his mother is said to be caucasian.
DeleteMad respect @vip. In the time it took me to google you had the right answer with a clicky link, no less.
DeleteHill Street Blues forever!
Deletestupid bitch
ReplyDeleteHot and stupid got together like chocolate and peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteJessica Alba = Peanut butter cup.
DeleteThanks VIP--- you got beauty and brains! The whole package baby xo
ReplyDeleteCount you only like her bc she is cute. As soon as she opened her mouth. You'd...put your cock in it
ReplyDeleteOk, maybe that was in bad form ;-)
ReplyDeleteNot in bad form at all. You know your audience :)
DeleteTurkey has a high tourist industry, so they usually have suitable attire tourists can borrow before entering the mosque, so why not just put on that
ReplyDeleteBecause they made her look fat.
Delete@ Orvilla....it's nothing any worse than what Count himself would say! LOL!
ReplyDelete@Orvilla: I don't even care if my pecker found its way to her gullet. She could yap all she wants. I would zone out the rest of the world and it would just be my face and her hindquarters.
ReplyDeleteWork it!
Delete@ Basil...but is it DESIGNER suitable attire??
ReplyDeleteI went to Turkey and had a similar experience. I was dressed way more modestly than shorts and a t-shirt - honestly, I don't blame her at all for getting into an argument. I had a horrible experience in Istanbul just because I'm a blonde American.
ReplyDeleteLife is so hard for you blond Americans
DeleteLol@ducky
Delete@AD I'm not blonde but I've had similar experiences. The worst was Athens and I'm part Greek.

It's about respect. If you don't like what they're asking you to wear then don't go to the mosque to begin with.
DeleteIf you go to a different country, you should respect their culture. Getting into an argument over it makes you look like the stereotypical idiot American. Alba is a dumbass.
ReplyDeleteAMEN!!
DeleteYep, @Pip. It's an asshole move, IMO, to argue about it.
DeleteI liked her in Dark Angel.
ReplyDeleteBut who isn't familiar with no shoes, no shirt, no service policies? Apparently, confused starlets.
Haha, thanks Brenda!
ReplyDeleteOooo Count. Make sure you bag it.
Wow, she really IS dumb. I honestly thought she just looked that way (not throwing shade, really, she actually looks like she's dumb to me. I guess you CAN judge a book by its cover!)
ReplyDeleteShe probably doesn't hear 'no' very often and then only from producers and casting directors.
ReplyDeleteAnd people when she asks if they want to watch a movie she's in.
DeleteShe could probably turn it all around if she would get nude on film.
DeleteOMG, Orvilla, your comment to Count just made me laugh out loud!!
ReplyDeleteShe could come back to Oklahoma to film again--oh wait, she can't--she pissed everyone off by plastering save the shark posters all over downtown Oklahoma City. Ya know, cause we Okies are big shark killers and we need to change our ways.

Hahaha!! That is so stupid!!!
DeleteI like how you think @jack sucky!! :) indeed, to illustrate your perfect 2 word shading !
ReplyDelete*words (bravo me)
ReplyDeleteAll the respect their culture comments are coming from people who are on the Jessica Alba hate train.
ReplyDeleteIf this happened to someone you knew and liked you'd be like "Damn backwards Muslims, girl power rawr!"

DeleteI went to visit the Turkey 5 years ago and i was able to enter in a mosquée in tee-shirt and cargo BUT my head was covered .
ReplyDeleteYes, my blonde American girlfriend went to Turkey and loved it! She also wore a head scarf the entire time. When in Rome...

ReplyDelete@cee kay. Yup, it's sort of disappointing to me at least to read confirmation that she really is a dumb bitch. A mosque? Really?
ReplyDeleteShe couldn't get into the Vatican in that get up. What makes her think she could get into a mosque? She's pretty and all, but apparently doesn't read much.
ReplyDeleteOh, sweetie, that's cute. You think Jessica Alba can read. No, no, not at all. Aahh. You're still adorable though.
DeleteLet's hope her brand of stupid isn't catching.

ReplyDeleteNow I like her a little bit more.
