Blind Items Revealed- Old Hollywood

May 29, 2014

Usually in an Old Hollywood Blind, all of the participants are all deceased. Not so in this case. The main instigator is still very much alive. Back in the day our actress was probably B list. She starred in lots of television and lots of movies, but her best acting was saved for the bedroom. She was at one point in time the highest paid escort in the world. She earned many thousands of dollars each night for her performances and most of the men who really liked her ended up marrying her because they thought she would be less expensive. Maybe so, but it never stopped her from charging others or seeing other men while she was married. when she was at her peak there is not a name in the celebrity world or political world who she did not hook up with. One of her more juicy conquests involved her ex-husband. She cheated on him throughout their marriage and they ended up divorced and he decided to marry someone who looked almost the same, but was much more faithful. The sister of our actress. well, it turns out that the sister was not that great of an actress and the ex missed his wife and what she did to him in bed so they started a very long affair that didn't stop even when the sister caught them in bed together multiple times. The only reason it did stop is because our actress got married again to one of her better customers.

Zsa Zsa Gabor/George Sanders/Magda Gabor

  1. If that's the one that slapped the cop I kinda love her

  2. IIf I remember from the comments the timeline for this is totally off. Zsa Zsa was an awful actress but Merv Griffin had her on his talk show all the time to keep her name out there. Her and Charo.

    1. No picking on Charo! I loved her. She was funny and an amazing guitarist. Saw her live many years ago in Hawaii where she was living at the time.

  5. VIP victory!
Paris may have not taken after Conrad, but clearly Zsa Zsa was a formative influence. Juicy juicy!!

  6. Would the customer be Michael O'Hara? Had to have been after 1971 time frame.

  7. It seems strange since Magda and George were only married for 32 days. I guess she caught them multiple times in a month.

  8. And Zsa Zsa wasn't married to anyone from 66-75. Doesn't seem to add up.

  9. ZsaZsa was all about the money. Also I think I always get her mixed up with Eva.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Actually Eva was the better actress, she was the one on Green Acres but also did Broadway and film. She always did seem like the classier sister.

  11. Green Acres was the place for me. Farm living is the life for me.
All those hick shows that were inter related were funny. Gomer Pyle, Andy Griffith, Petticoat Junction and Green Acres.

  12. Eva and Merv were friends. ZZ was known to make homophobic remarks about their bearding relationship.

Their Mom was the original PMK. She patterned them aftwr the courtesan class of old Europe. Something Mr. Sanders would have understood.

Her presence in GIGI isn't accidental. She's boring old courtesan replaced by the comely young courtesan in training.

  13. @Sandy don't forget The Beverly Hillbillies. There is what I call a Holy Trinity episode containing elements of Green Acres and Petticoat Junction. I believe a bear friend of Ellie Mae has to drive an inebriated Mr Drysdale in this one.

  14. Yep Sandy it was good clean fun for the whole family.......

  15. Naive me I thought Eva and Zsa Zsa just got rich from all those divorces like Elizabeth Taylor.

  16. And who could forget this acting legend

    Arnold Ziffel

  17. Forgot them James. I think Petticoat Junction folks were inbred with Clampetts.

  18. @Tina I remember Lisa Douglas making 4 different pots of coffee: one black, one cream, one sugar, one cream and sugar, lol.

@Sandy, Uncle Joe kind of gave me the creeps.

    @PugsterMom +1

  20. all 3 sisters were charming and lovely looking (lots of surgery) and trained to be the perfect companion by their mother…who was said to be hot stuff herself…
Zsa Zsa's daughter is a Hilton in name only….she's the daughter of one of the men or husbands…which is why she inherited nothing from Hilton…

  21. Juicy! The Gabors were like the Kardashians, but 1000x better. (And classier).

    ReplyDelete
  22. if she was an escort then Hilton raping her and her daughter being the fruit of that, makes more sense.

  23. Petitcoat Junction daughters>Elly Mae Clampett.

speaking of KTrash Reggie Bush got married yesterday to some girl who looks an awful lot like Kim KTrash. Guess he never got over the ho.

    1. I think he just has a certain "type". KK probably looks an awful lot like the ones before her did as well.

  26. @Sandy +1. The opening credits group shower shot with the PJ women cemented that fact. Even as I watched the original run as a 3 and 4 year old, whoa.

  27. The gabors arrived in usa penniless from hungary. This is how they lived and made money. They were very open about it and had a sense of humor about themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  28. For some reason, I don't find any of the Gabor sisters attractive.

  29. @ NJ Firefighter - then, or now? Kidding.

  30. One of the Pettitcoat Junction girls wound up as one of the hawt hawt Hee Haw girls but I only remember she was blonde.

  31. The story I heard is that George was the love of Zsa Zsa's life. Then she caught him in bed with a boy and she left him. Later on in life, she arranged the marriage with Magda because Magda was in ill health and George was suffering from depression.
The thinking was that they would take care of each other, but both were too far gone with their health problems for a marriage to work.

  32. Isn't this the husband that killed himself?

    1. Yes and in George Saunder's suicide note, he stated that he took his life because he was "bored"

  33. Just think of the stories such the Kennedy assassination and Marilyn Monroe that are buried because there wasn't an internet or cell phone cameras.

    ReplyDelete
  34. George's suicide note is odd to say the least. He sure had a lot of work. Loved him in All About Eve. Hollyweird

  35. Read The Glamorous Gabors by Darwin Porter. Dirty fun from cover to cover, not that he's an impeccable writer, take it with a grain of salt.

  36. The water tower was for the steam locomotive, not the town's drinking water.

  37. It says that they were only married 32 days. Not really sure how long of an affair they could have had….

  38. Some guessed this one correctly.

Mama Gabor (may she rest in peace) would've cleaned up in today's world.

  39. George Sanders won the Oscar for AAE and was wonderful in many other movies as well. He stated early on that if he got bored in old age he'd just off himself, and he did. Very interesting man who lived an interesting life.

  41. I remember reading some interview with Zsa Zsa in Star or the Enquirer or something when I was a kid, and she said something about always maintaining her blonde hair scrupulously, because her mother told her that brunettes don't smell as good as blondes. As a little brunette, that worried me...of course, I'm still not quite sure what that means or how it's possible.

Kind of a nut, that one.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow... such scanndalous behaviour in that day and age. Makes one wonder what else went down in those days...

If only the walls could talk...

  43. omg @NJ that is just awful! Poor Zsa Zsa, having that photo out there. Yikes. Now I can kinda see why some vain celebrities just prefer to die young.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Figs, i feel bad for her too, having that picture around. She really wldnt hv wanted that.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Very sad to see her so aged, but that is the reality of life. She doesn't have a line on her face though, so the plastic surgery was good. Put some makeup and a wig on her and she'd still be attractive. And good on the 3 of them for making millions and being proud of how they did it.
