This British actor that everyone loves. No, not that one. A little older. Yeah, Academy Award nominee/winner. Good looking guy. Dropped almost $1000 bucks into a homeless man's lap because he was on the way to the airport and leaving the country and wouldn't need it he said.
Colin Firth
My darcy always.
ReplyDeleteTells me to change my street perch for the airport!
ReplyDeleteNice, Nice thing to do...
Claps for you Colin!
ReplyDeleteVery nice now who was the other guy the Enties were referring to?
ReplyDeleteCumberbatch probably
DeleteColin just keeps getting hotter and hotter.
ReplyDeleteLove that guy. Good on him!
ReplyDeleteI
ReplyDeleteLO V E
Colin Firth!
(platonic respect of course! But if he were single, well, that's a whole different story)
Not surprised by this reveal :)
Or Hiddleston
ReplyDeleteI also vote Hiddles
DeleteLove hearing this.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to mitchellaneous mvdiz who nailed this one!
He's so hot
ReplyDelete"The other one" is likely Hugh Grant.
ReplyDeleteVery cool.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good guy.
ReplyDeleteBravo!!!
ReplyDeletetoo bad it wasn't Martin Freeman.
Fargo sucked but i had a crush on him.
i have such a fetish for older guys now.

@ TTM Did you watch True Blood? So sad but expected.
ReplyDeleteI didn't, but sugarbread spilled the deets in Bookie Wook. Poor Joe MangeMange, I barely knew ye!
DeleteI know how much TTM enjoys Hidds so Ill choose him as the other guy. I'm not so sure Hugh Grant is all that liked though. Once upon a time before his personal troubles yes now maybe not.
ReplyDeleteCumberbetch could also be.
Thanks, sandyboo
DeleteI love you COLIN!!!
ReplyDeleteFuck True Blood especially if they do Lafayette.

DeleteIt sucks this year. Clearly they just want to end this shitshow and find a new job.
DeleteI dropped my out last season, after being loyal from jump. If they kill LaFayette, I won't even bother catching up online.
DeleteColin Firth is the man. Love him!!
ReplyDeleteI.Love.Him.
ReplyDeletethat was very sweet...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gentlymenly thing to do. Pay it forward.
ReplyDeleteI thought people liked Colin.
ReplyDeleteIt's Hugh, that no one likes anymore.
Hugh's a douche-nanny-hooker lover.
ReplyDeleteI see no difference b/twn him and the likes of Ho Lohan.
Uber nice. Walking the path.
ReplyDeleteI love Colin Firth
ReplyDeleteGreat!! The guy probably drank himself to death or got murdered for his cash. Why not tip the skycap or a service worker in the airport. Someone that could really use the cash and it might make a difference in their lives. While good intended, this sounds like a kindness but is misguided in most cases where homeless guy is just looking for his next drink/fix. Granted, there is nothing in blind about details of homeless guy and many could benefit from this act but just wanted to point this out instead of kneejerk praising this as a wonderful act to be emulated. Hate to be a buzzkill but alot better ways to help homeless.
ReplyDeleteLove Actually in the House!!!
ReplyDeleteAww, Colin!
ReplyDeleteLove Mr. Darcy...with all my heart and soul.
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful act because he doesn't assume that every homeless person is a drunk or looking for a drug fix. There are people who work who can't afford a place to live, depending on where they are.
ReplyDeletethe nicest man. this is why i hate people picking him for the 'foreign born' asshole blinds. he's not that guy.
ReplyDelete+1 @TexasRose
ReplyDeleteColin is an idiot. If you're trying to give rid of cash, Over-tip your server or give it to a single mother. Homeless people are 99% addicts or alcoholics. Real nice guy indeed.
Yah, eff that guy giving away his own money to someone who doesn't have it! Ahole!
ReplyDeleteWait naysayers. He didn't want to do a $$ exchange. We have no idea which country this is so there's a good chance it's some third world country where he filmed. The chances of them being an alcoholic or addict would be greatly diminished. This person may have truly had a need not associated with dependency.
ReplyDeleteI'm a social worker who has studied homelessness in-depth, so I know quite a bit about the reasons for it, demographics, etc. About 25% are families with children, and children in general are the fastest-growing population on the streets. Depending on the stats you happen to be reading, anywhere from, say, 30-50% -- hell, maybe even more -- are mentally ill and in need of meds. A terribly disproportionate number of LGBT teenagers are on the streets as well.
ReplyDeleteEducation and compassion...they're beautiful things. :-/

What an asshole. He could have used that money to by that guy a plane ticket and brought him home with him to be Colins manservant.
ReplyDeleteUgh
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteA little OT, but not really...here's a feel-good story about a woman who was homeless. Kitty lovers, you definitely want to read this (and I am sorry that I can't figure out how to make it clicky).

Miss Tuxedo!!!
Deletelove it! thank you AKM!
I was thinking that the guy could be murdered if anyone knew he had that cash. Remember the NYC cop who bought the homeless man some nice winter boots? A month or so after a reporter found the guy and asked where the boots are. He said he buried them because he could get killed for them.
