Whoopi has a ton more TV credits dating back to the 80's(moonlighting/a different world...then obviously Star Trek...yes she's always done films..but Latifah started as a rapper turned actress Whoopi has spoken about drug use/selling days....
Queen mentioned "boosting" back in the day, never selling dope. Surely she would have bragged on it in her rhymes for the street cred lol I like Whoopi for this.
Sally messy (typo but staying) Raphael was fab. Jenny Jones got into a lot of trouble over the man who committed suicide. Wasn't Ricki very young when she started acting? Queenie sounds good
It wasn't a suicide it was a murder. The show was "secret crushes" and one guy's secret crush was a man and when he found out he killed the guy who had the crush.

Yeah they had been friends until the killer was blindsided by that on the show. Skippy if I remember right, he stormed off the stage and killed him the day after the show was telecast on tv,
At first I thought Queen LatifaH and laughed at the Whoopi guess, but now that I think about it I think she's the right guess. A teen parent on welfare and learning the hard way to survive. LatifaH was always pretty much on the straight and narrow. She, Martin Lawrence, Kid and Play and Salt N Pepa were all friends, most worked together and swore they'd make it famous.
I believe Ms. Latifah had a brother who was a policeman. I thought they were pretty close. Do not think she sold drugs. Besides she has been successful since the 80s It would have to be a very old blind vice

Committed suicide? Hadn't heard about that on. but there was one where a guy killed another guy because he was gay and had a crush on him.
