Blind Item #7
A foreign B list singer in a blind not named Rita Ora!! Amazing. I never thought it was possible. The relief that is washing over me now is incredible. I think in the future I'm just going to use Rita Ora's name in the blind because it is just so obvious at this point who she is and how she is identified. Anyway, this one is not about her. It is about someone who had a chance to go to A list and made some missteps when discussing her sexuality and turned off some fans and then tried to correct herself, but she has never really recovered. She says she only likes guys but she only dates women so I'm not sure how that all fits together.

ReplyDelete@cobe jessie j came on the scene a few years ago as another pop star, but had ambiguous sexuality (in a non-titillating way) and her hits weren't so long-standing (even though they were catchy)

ReplyDeleteOnly know who jessi j is bcuz I thought she made a fool of herself at the Olymprocks closing ceremony when she came out and tried to front for Queen. Brian May seemed to be ignoring her as she tried to be Rocker front man...it was cringeworthy. IMHO.
ReplyDeleteBut, from here, I can see she has fans. So she must not be too bad. I doubt I'll care about her music, but if I did I'd couldn't care less if she passes over a plug for a socket.

ReplyDeleteShame. I don't know how much she *thinks* it affects her career versus *actually* impacting it. Either scenario is sad.
I'm barely familiar with her but saw a tv performance and she has a great voice and presence on stage.
Jessie J fits, definitely.
