ReplyDelete@Sherry I have the same problem. And no, I don't have cable. I used to have it, but it got too expensive and I found myself spending days on end watching a whole lot of crap. I finally decided to cut the cable cord, and I now have an amplified antenna. With it I get ABC, PBS, a few Mexican soap opera stations, and some public access, but they're all free. For the most part, I use my TV to watch DVDs that I check out of my local library--along with books.

@topper, I did the same. Also got a Roku and watch the few shows I did get into, like Project Runway.
ReplyDeleteIt got to be a big bone of contention that I was paying so much money for the privilege of watching tv channels with mostly commercials.
But yeah, looking through one of my mom's hollywood gossip mags, I didn't recognize half the people in it, or the shows they are in. Easy come easy go, another crop every year. The only thing that can be counted on is the neverending Kardashian saga.
Agree with both of you. Everytime my cable goes up and I call to cancel it, they just drop it back down. They talk me into keeping it since it's like only 10$ more than just internet. Dammit!
