Blind Item #2 - Kindness
This B list mostly television actress from a very hit cable show who is in this space frequently did something really nice. She was grocery shopping and the woman behind her was with two kids, one of whom was screaming and the woman just decided to abandon her cart at the checkout line and take her child outside. Our actress paid for the woman's groceries and brought them all outside to her.

DeleteAll this rain we've had sucks right Sandy...go soak in dem rays while you can
ReplyDeletePlease send that rain to CA. We're a dust bowl.
ReplyDeleteSandy B for the nice mommy.
Wakey, Wakey Sherry. Says cable show. Is SOA a cable or premium show? I'd say Katey if it's the former. Hendricks if not.
DeleteI need to move to hollywood
ReplyDeleteWhat parent out there hasn't had to do the dreading "cart abandon" at some point? It's the worst. You feel like your whole day is right down the crapper. Kudos to whoever did this. (FWIW, my guess is JJ, too.)
ReplyDeleteShould be dreaded, not dreading.
DeleteI've done it with my eldest. It only took that one time...

ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot of "celebs paying for grocery" blinds lately. Enty must have a source at the Supermarket now...
ReplyDeleteYup, looks like Enty has a supermarket spy. And I think she's legit
ReplyDeleteAs a mom whose son has had a meltdown in the grocery store before, I can totally relate to abandoning the cart. If this is January, I'll refrain from throwing shade her way anymore.
ReplyDeleteGrocery store blinds are the new airplane blinds.
ReplyDeleteSo, the lady was still hanging around outside with her screaming kid while 2 carts were rung up & bagged? Bullshit, they pulled a scam on the poor actress.

ReplyDelete@ethorne makes a good point; I wondered about that too.
ReplyDeleteIfffff this wax JJ, I think she prob did it cuz she felt guilty for sleeping with the mothers husband. Then again I don't think JJ would do that, "feel guilty" that is.
I just want to know what mother would still be in the parking lot after the cashier finishes ringing up the celeb then the other lady's cart. She would have been gone by this point, right?
ReplyDeleteMaybe she was going to calm her kid down and then go back for the groceries?
ReplyDeleteI've done that too. Except I put him in the car seat and let him scream it out while I stood outside. (No extreme weather. )
DeleteI've had to abandon my groceries and sit in the car until my child stopped freaking out. If the freak out is bad enough, I couldn't concentrate on driving.
ReplyDeleteJj. Aawwwweee.
ReplyDeleteShe might have told the cashier she would pay and sent the grocery bagger out to the parking lot to tell the mom not to leave yet. When a kid is freaking out it's usually an ordeal to get them strapped into a car seat. The main thing is to just get them out of the store. God I'm glad I don't have kids.
ReplyDeleteI kinda call BS on this (at least as it's told). If a woman abandons her groceries and leaves, do you really think she's going to still be outside after you have her entire cart rung up and bagged?
ReplyDelete@Prunella, I pointed out the same thing and others have stated that it is very possible. I will go with them as I wouldn't know.
ReplyDelete@SaintsFan well maybe some of the details got lost in the retelling.
ReplyDeleteI just wonder whether the woman NEEDED her groceries paid for, or was just some suburban mom with a bratty kid.
Reminds me of that millionaire @hiddencash on twitter. Leaving money all over the country (including the UK) then tweeting about it. So people with smart phones and twitter accounts get free cash? Not exactly the people I'd peg as the neediest but whatever...
Yep, it's January Jones!
