Reporter Has No Idea He Is Interviewing Bob Odenkirk
A reporter in Calgary was sent out to do man in the street interviews about Fargo being filmed in Calgary. He stops a man and asks him questions about the show and never realizes that Bob Odenkirk, the man he is interviewing actually stars on the show.
well I don't know who that is and the guy is wearing shades and a well whatever the hell that is on his head so whats the story here?
ReplyDeleteI have no clue what the description is about.
ReplyDeleteWigs, I'm guessing the reporter is interviewing someone he thinks is a random dude off the street, but is actually the star of the show he is asking about
DeleteBetter Call Saul, yo
DeleteSaulgood, man!
Oooh, this is like the Kevin McHale interview with a basketball fan while on the Dream Team.
ReplyDeletePlus, that's Calgary for ya
also: not it, but tell me if it's good! I'm so bossy
Tl:dw sounds like another proud moment in Canadian history though.
ReplyDeleteUm, sandy, I don't think you want to get into a battle as to whose location is considered an embarrassment. ..considering your state has become a verb
DeleteI wouldn't know who that was either and I've seen a few episodes of that show.
ReplyDelete@TTM---please tell me those winter bonnets are not a thing out west?
ReplyDeleteI would like to tell you that, Derek, but I'd be lying. Alllll my boys wear them. Wait! I have a really cute picture, I will change my avi for a minute. Check it oot!
DeleteTell me that's not adorable, Derek!?
DeleteADORABLE ALERT!!!!!!!!! Such a cutie you got there, TTM!
DeleteThanks Sugar!
DeletePeople wear them here all the time in Minnesota.
DeleteAwwww, he is cheek pinching cute!!
DeleteAs for the hat, I've bought one like that for my rent a kid, and I'm in FL. His mom was soooo happy.
Thanks, Hammer! Right, Flirty? I like them because it covers their ears and head all in one shot, with much less whining
DeleteI think a Canadian needs to take this on and translate for the rest of us. I only speak American.
ReplyDeletetl:dw (the clip or the show)
ReplyDeleteWell he's pretty dull. And all i got from that really is that it looks the f**k cold so I won't be moving to Calgary any time soon.
ReplyDeleteI love the news!fail with best the Vancouver reporter who interviewed Kevin Bieksa thinking he was Ryan Kesler - both are players on the Canucks.
ReplyDelete(See: Kes is American but Bieks is Canadian. Bieks spent the interview trolling America and the reporter never caught on).
I didn't watch it but how can anyone not know Saul Goodman?!
ReplyDeleteHammer - Exactly!
DeleteMy speakers shut down almost every time I try to watch an entyvid. Must be my speakers trying to look out for my best interest. Thanks speakers!
ReplyDeleteI love Bob Odenkirk though. Any Mr. Show lovers out in the audience today?
@TTM--it is TOTALLY FINE for a child FTR lol---it makes the guy LOOK like a child
ReplyDeleteBut I like all my boys to look the same! Even my great big one!
DeleteI'm with you, @Hammer_Girl!
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't know Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad???
And 'Better Call Saul' starting in November?
Counting down the days! I was stoked when they announced Mike would be a regular.
DeleteThank you Jerry. This site jumped the shark many, many months ago.
Delete@TTM yes very cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Derek!
DeleteMr show!! Tim and Eric!! Tom goes to the mayor!! I'd shower tge guy with praise if I ever met him
ReplyDeleteFargo is a great TV show.
ReplyDeleteBob Odenkirk is way underused.
@Seinfeld I don't think he's underused, I'm pretty sure he's more of a writer than an actor
DeleteOkok ill do it...
ReplyDeleteBetter Call Saul!
This interview was adorable!
@hammer. Exactly! Right? If you watched and claim to be a Breaking Bad fan, you should recognize his jaw and voice as Saul.
ReplyDeleteAnd Larry Sanders!
ReplyDeleteDont make me go Florida on your ass TTM :)))
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't threaten, sandy, I've only got 6 months! No reasonable offer will be refused!!
DeleteI'm just gonna be over here Rob Fording
Fargo finale tomorrow! Can't wait. It is funny that the reporter had no idea he was talking to a main character in the show!
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched Fargo, the movie or show. Now that I know Bob O. is on it I guess I know how I'll be filling my nights now. Do I have to watch the movie first?
ReplyDeleteThe movie is AMAZING, Hammer! Go Bears
DeleteMovie and show are different, when the Coens said it was a true story, they were joking. So watch in any order you please, the show is much darker though.
DeleteThe movie is covered in awesome sauce! Favorite parts include "he's kinda funny lookin'"
DeleteFargo the movie was great Hammer watch it you'll enjoy
ReplyDeleteIt would have been awesome if Bob told that reporter to shut his stinking trap.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely suggest watching the movie before the show as there are quite a few references. Also the movie is genius, so it needs to be watched regardless.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Mr. Show, I am obsessed. Had a huge crush on Bob Odenkirk (eh let's be honest, I still do).
Derek and TTM - you are cracking me up!
ReplyDeleteDerek - winter bonnets? hahaha - that was funny (and let's face it, we are total fashion whores here in Toronto).
TTM - omg - he is so cute! I guess it was inevitable that Robert Ford would become a verb as well.
Thanks, surfer!
DeleteGlad he didn't go all "Don't you know who I am?" on the reporter.
ReplyDeleteDoes it sound staged to someone else than me? Former adopted CAlgarian here. It took me a while to recognize Inglewood.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Calgarian! Trust me... it's hard to recognize people when all dressed out in touques, winter gear etc.
ReplyDeleteSophie - Inglewood has gone through a big revitalization the past few years. It got hit really hard by the flood last year. Hard to believe that was a year ago on Friday.
November cannot get here soon enough for me. Bob Odenkirk is genius as Saul.
ReplyDeleteThe reporter should be grateful we didn't ship his ass off to Belize!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Better Call Saul (but I hope it's better than some of AMC's recent offerings, like Low Winter Sun, Turn, and Halt and Catch Fire).
ReplyDeleteHe should know better... The first question is always "Give me your name and spell it please."
ReplyDeleteMOS can be tough. If you need three sots, ask 20 people. I try to get at least five or six if I'm using MOS in a pack, and it can take an hour or two finding people willing to talk on camera.
Have known Bob since before he hit it big. A great guy and like most comedians, very shy.
ReplyDeleteHeisenberg so jelly
DeleteNo doot aboot it, baumyak!
ReplyDeleteHuge Mr. Show (and Ben Stiller Show) fan here. Odenkirk was a hugely talented writer/comedian who switched to character actor at the right time. I don't think much of his latest comedy efforts (the films he directed or his work with The Birthday Boys), but the the guy was in Titannica, Three Times One Minus One, Wycked Scepter, Indomitable Spirit, and his shoe hurts.
