Random Photos Part One - With Reader Photos

Six parts today.

Adam Sandler spent Father's Day in Toronto with his wife and kids.
Sheryl Crow in Chicago.
Alicia Silverstone in a rare pap photo. She was with her husband and son at a farmer's market yesterday.
Scout Willis wore clothes, but as bad as they look, it might have been better to just go topless again.

  8. Adam, a stroller for kids that old?!?! Isn't the purpose to walk them until they get tired and go to bed early?

Quite the mixed batch of readers photos! Fun to look at.

Love seeing your wonderful faces !!!

  22. Not so sure that's a stroller as much as a push cart for tired little feet while mom and dad make the rounds. Beats pulling them in a wagon :)

Great pictures! Love the pup #5!

  24. I don't comment much but I have to say that nothing ticks me off more that seeing a parent/parents with kids over 4 years of age in a FUCKING STROLLER! I don't have kids, but I was a nanny in NYC for 6 years.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Kristin, I had the same thought as you. The kid has a dog's name (Bear) and he's in cage. Makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Wigs & @Karen, same here! I even blew it up because I thought maybe I was looking at it wrong! Does she keep the kid caged until bird feeding time?! Knock it off, Cher, it makes you look like a virgin who can't drive!

  29. For the stroller talk, my kids would never let me put them in a stroller anymore, and the oldest is still younger than either of those kids, but as a parent I understand wanting to put them in one. Or that cage. Then you know where they are! And you don't have to stop for quite as many ant-killings and the like.

  30. Hello lovely readers!

I love how Sandy and Sugar just aren't "feeling" any Candyland yet. You're both right, I ain't in there...but, it will be really interesting to see if you get a vibe when it's me! Ha!

I think Alicia's husband is kind of cute.

And of course all the readers look good. Damn, why didn't I think of hiding behind and animal? (Not like you need to #5!).

  32. Adam those kids are too big for a stroller, stop being lazy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's easier to push them than drag or chase them. This from the woman with an 11 and 9 year old in the shopping cart at Wal Mart last weekend. But in my defense when they were little I kicked them out of the stroller to make room for a big box of Carlos Santana boots.

    1. Agree! When my kids were tired they would sleep anywhere! They didn't care if they were in a cart full of groceries or a wagon! It didn't bother me as long as they were comfortable... Way better than crying. At the end of a long day I wouldn't mind someone pushing me around:)

  34. Another collection of stunners.

  35. I have to be careful with my guesses Candyland since I used one on Friday and only have 2 more to use.

    ReplyDelete
  36. There were two festivals happening in Toronto this weekend, so maybe Adam and family attended, and thought it would be easier to keep the kids close. What do I know.

Heh heh - I thought #3 might be FSP!

    ReplyDelete
  37. That's a smart sweater fsp, I like your style.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Great reader photos...damn Enty distracting me w/ those Sandler kids, the only redeeming part of this set is the reader pics

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have an 8 and a 4 yr old and they run away from the sight of a stroller, but they know really well to stay near by, and the 8 yr old learns to be a bit more responsible and keep an eye the smaller one too.
I guess I care about the importance if communicating with kids and making sure they understand the importance of safety and being close by me.

I can see the stroller/pushcart as a safety measure if you are walking with more than two children, but this is just two.

I saw one time a guy try to snatch the smallest child from a large family (at a crowded amusement park) because the parents were too busy with the others, there were a total of 4 or 5 kids and just the mom and dad. It was pretty scary to witness. Dad reacted quickly fortunately.

  40. Sugar, et al...clue #3, I do NOT have black or red hair.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Why is Adam Sandler pushing two adults in a stroller? That is ridiculous. I hope they all just did that for laughs.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree that's just lazy and indulgent re the stroller for big kids. Ugh.
    Hi lovely readers!

    ReplyDelete
  43. The reader photos are fabulous, as usual.

The stroller pics cracked me up. The Sadler kids look old enough to get a job already, and Alicia Silverstone's kid was simply thrown into a grocery pull basket.

    5. Seriously Mama Abroad? I'm serious when I said I thought the pic was Beckinsale. Really truly.

As a typically late in the day reader, that's also why I happily read through the mobile site threads so I can participate almost like it's in real time.

In conclusion: you so look like Kate Beckinsale there.

  45. I agree they are way too old but consider this. Kids in LA don't walk. They are walking around a city and can't deal with it. Maybe there's even no nanny so the parents can't handle it. Kids in NYC tend to be in strollers longer than the burbs b/c of the distances. A 4 yr old in Manhattan might be used to a stroller whereas my 4 yr old would never. But then again a yr or 2 later the NYC kids will be on a scooter. Sandler's kids are embarrassingly old regardless of geography.

  47. Hello lovely readers!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Reader pics are fun and beautiful! Really amazing, and fun to see.

I gotta say, the kid in the push cart caught my eye, for sure, but in their defense I also know that kids often like to ride I. Anything they can and I have Benin happy to oblige them. HECK, I like to ride in carts when I can fit !

    ReplyDelete
  49. The kid in the push cart has bigger problems than being in a push cart. He's probably psyched not to be eating regurgitated kale out of his mother's mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Why don't they make "tired shopping parent" strollers for the kids to push that are easy to manuever.... Because there's been lots of days I wish I could've traded places with them!

    ReplyDelete
  51. And I'm diggin' all of these gorgeous reader photos!!! :)

Sandlers kids look old enough to drive.

  57. My guys are 3.5 and 6. I haven't gotten rid of the single stroller because it could come in handy if I got it into my head to take them somewhere we had to walk miles. Strollers are also handy because you can pack their lunch into the basket.
Normally they would walk, bike or scooter though.
Strollers are all about containment when kids are young. Easier to keep them safe when they don't listen.

I don't understand why Bear Blue isn't riding on his dad's shoulders rather than in that easily collapsible basket.

  62. Dear Adam Sandler...it's sad to stick teens in strollers.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sorry, but those look to be 8 or 9, and way too old for a stroller.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Day late and a dollar short on the stroller comments :p

  67. Are ya'll sure that Alicia didn't just buy that kid at a stall next to the organic asparagus?

Seeing kids over the age of 4 in a stroller bothers me as much as seeing dogs of any age in one.

  69. And thank you all for the comments, my skin is far from perfect, that is just the camera on my phone (no effect, it's just that bad). I wear blush and some compact powder on my nose and forehead but I've learned to live with my freckles and dark spots.
The hairdo was something different that I tried, although my husband said that he wouldn't go out with me like that and someone at work said that I was missing a pineapple in my head, but I loved getting out of my comfort zone.

  71. BotoncitoRosa, thank you for outing yourself - you're indeed gorgeous! And the ensemble is working brilliantly in that snap! Just beautiful.

I've been through this with a family member - my heart goes out to you. In times of family grief though you do everything you can, but always want to do more because no matter what you do you can't fix it. But being there and making life serene in the background is worth a whole lot. I'm sure you're doing everything humanly possible. It's hard for everyone - stay strong!
