Blind Items Revealed
March 15, 2014
This A list band made a recent surprise appearance. The supposedly sober singer of the band was anything but. Hopefully they are not planning on touring soon because he won't live through it.
Billie Joe Armstrong/Green Day
I <3 GD. This makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteI hope he goes to actual rehab and actually stays. Addiction is a bear y'all
ReplyDeleteQuitting has got to be tough when you're surrounded by the shit.
ReplyDeleteTrue that. I quit drinking a year ago, and I don't even go down that aisle at the store.
Deletetoo bad he's been a mess for awhile and melts down onstage too like at the I<3Radio concert.
ReplyDeleteGreen Day were AWESOME in the 90's.
ReplyDeleteThey were, Mr. Cruz. When I Come Around was practically and anthem. All of Dookie, actually
DeleteThat album ruled my high school!!! And Smash by The Offspring!!!
Delete@Christopher Cruz.
DeleteThat was huge my freshman year.
That's a big thing too--they and The Offspring were essentially punk bands--now both groups are in their 40s--too old for that now.
ReplyDeleteHoly shite, sandy, I was just coming her to say that my dream concert would be The Offspring and Green Day. Get outta my head!
DeleteI still love green day and think they make great music. I hope he gets the help he needs though.
ReplyDeleteWill always love Green Day. And at least they wrote their own shit **cough cough Offspring cough cough**
ReplyDeleteThey actually got sued by a smaller band for stealing a song. The smaller band got a BIG payout.
DeleteI know. Offspring and FOB both stole from a buncha hardcore bands
DeleteOffspring's first couple albums were heavily ripped off from local OC bands, one in particular.. That's why their newer albums sounds so different from older shit they "wrote"
DeleteI meant green day got sued. By a Minneapolis band.
DeleteOooooh goody! Thanks unknown, I'm gunna have a great time digging into that!
DeleteIt's one of those secrets around town that's not supposed to be talked about.
DeleteThat's right! The story was that American idiot was written entirely within a couple days because the original album got stolen from the studio etc
DeleteD4 got the settlement from GD but Jawbreaker was also ripped off in the AI album. Thanks unknown
No prob lady. Let's just say someone has a nice cabin in Minnesota now after the payout.
DeleteThat gives me the warm and fuzzies. Everybody wins!
DeleteI'm calling bullshit. I know one of their guitarists and he said he's been doing well being sober and employs sober coaches.
ReplyDeleteI truly hope hope you are right. I love me some BJ
DeleteOffspring write their own songs--they just steal melodies.
ReplyDeleteThe Offspring only have the one song, played 40 different ways, gawd luv em. So, not grand larceny anyway
ReplyDeleteSobriety is hard y'all....
ReplyDeleteI really hope he can get and keep his shit together. He is a really talented guy.
ReplyDeleteThe Ramones were probably the Offspring's mentors for songwriting and melody making :)
ReplyDeleteSandyboo do not take The Ramones name in vain! Offspring are no where near their talent. Sad they never saw the fame they were deserving of.
ReplyDeleteSherry, amen. I've got The Ramones on right now!
ReplyDeleteI love The Ramones they grew up in my neighborhood and the Bell Brothers went to my HS
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad - Green Day was my life back in the day
ReplyDeleteI never knew he was supposed to be sober. Last week, I listened to the entire Dookie album and I loved it just as much as I ever did. One of the best albums in rock history.
ReplyDeleteWent to a GD show a few yrs back and the suite beside us had been rented out for a 9 year old boys bday party. First thing out of Billy's mouth was fuck! That mom flipped out the entire show. She was on pins and needles... He said every curse word there is. Those 9 yo boys were so excited! So funny!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he can play more music with his son and keep his demons under better control.....

Oh no! I hope this isn't true.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite concerts was them in Dublin's SFX back in '97. They were not prepared for the undercurrent of anarchy found in an Irish audience ;)
this breaks my heart, I knew he was on something when they played here in march :(
