This HGTV star from one of their more popular shows insists he is straight. Well, actually what he always says is that he dates lots of women but can't ever find the right one. Just come out already.
Definitely one of The Property Brothers. Which ever one who always wears the suit and doesn't do the manual labor. :-) Both are hot and should have no problem finding a date. In fact I will take one for the team and go out with both of them. ;-)
Really, you guys never watch HGTV? House Hunters, Love It or List It, Property Brothers, Yard Crashers ... I could go on, but won't. I always get a super bad case of real estate envy after watching anything they show. That being said, I think this is Jonathan Scott, the more manly twin who does renovations on Property Brothers.
HGTV is very important. Along with Degrassi it's where I learned everything about Canada. Since it says more popular shows I'll go with either the single Property Brother or Scott McGillivray or the guy from Love It or List It (although to that may just be popular in my living room).
Yep, some are total BS. But I really like the ones where it looks like they do actual work: income property, Candace Olson, Genevieve, kitchen cousins. House hunters is total BS, but I still watch.
I watch HGTV but when do they talk about their private lives? Never. I'll throw Vern Yip into the mix. Oh wait, that bearded guy that renovates places with a mix of old cast of finds and his eclectic handmade woodwork and painting.
@Bignoise. I love Vern so much. Since the first time I saw him on Trading Spaces. I would let him redo my house and take his word of it that it was things great and wonderful. Even if he hung goldfish from my dining room ceiling.
Vern! Trading Spaces was my jam! I love Vern sense of space and whimsy. He was the only one that used architectural aspects and perspectives in his designs Where can I find him now? Might be able to "get it" if you guys tell me...*begging*
Based on what you guys are saying it does seem like Jonathan Scott. What about the Love it or List It Too? They film in Vancouver and a former Bachelor contestant is the female designer. Maybe that guy but probably Jonathan Scott.
I would want to say Scott McGillivray too because his cute level is off the charts. I think he tweets a lot about the wife and kids though so that doesn't fit the blind.
What about Mike Holmes? He's always seemed gay to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
I would want to say Scott McGillivray too because his cute level is off the charts. I think he tweets a lot about the wife and kids though so that doesn't fit the blind.

Love all the HGTV shows, but alas, I am old and spend a lot of time renovating old properties. Scott MacGillivery lives in my hometown and is married with at least one kid. My friend met them on vacation in Cuba. He looks like Tom Cruise but that's where the gayness ends. I would say one of the property brothers but seeing as they are identical wouldn't they be like D squared, the designer brothers, who are both gay? (ducking)
I know who you're talking about! My yard needs landscaping, but I would never be so lucky as to bump into him in Home Depot... I can't get over the ones who turn down his assistance! I'm like, "IDIOT!" Yard work be expensive.
I can't believe this!! A blind about an HGTV star. Talk about hitting bottom. Blinds have been ridiculous here lately but this is as stupid as enty can get and still have a blog. I'm laughing so hard right now. Work harder enty before you lose what's left of your readers.
LOVES me some Property Brothers--but why in the heck is stuff SO expensive in Canada--that is filmed in the Toronto area right? Your property costs are like CRAZY Some of those slums I would not give 200K for non the less 800K with all the work they need
The real estate shows are real in that it is real people buying properties, but the properties have already been bought by the time they film. I am a real estate agent in Ontario where many of them are filmed. The production companies regularly put out calls to agents with clients that have recently bought or are about to. The properties they show are all compels to the property they bought. So they show the process basically. I have met Bryan Baumler and been in his house...the one that was showcased on Bryans house. That house is perfection. A lot of releases need to be signed by the listing brokerages and vendors in order to get in the houses so they have to do it backwards.
The House Hunter shows are also completely fake. The people have already purchased the home before filming, then the research team finds "similar" homes for sale to go film at, no one on the show actually helps people find houses.
A friend of ours told me they film 2 endings for Love it or List it too, because too many of the families decide to "Love it", so they have to make the occasional one list it. Her neighbours were on the show. And yeah, the yard crasher guy can follow me home from Home Depot anytime. I only ever get little old retired guys who are working there for pocket money and you have to repeat everything twice to, or students who don't give a shit. Pardon my French.
I think it's the realtor property brother too. That show is all fake--they use local contractors and designers and they just show up to do the filming. I saw them on some talk show and the contractor one was really a stage magician before they did this show.
I'll go with one of the property brothers also. They're both douchey. I'm glad it's not Scott-he's hot. Don't forget Mike Holmes; he'd be a great bear.
I always thought Mike Holmes was gay but he's not. He has his daughter on (not that that means anything).
My favorite though is Sarah Richardson, HGTV's answer to Ina Garten on Food Network. She could give some of the "divas" we read about on this site lessons on how to own being an entitled bitch. She and Tommy are amazing. They walk right up to camp and then step back.
I like Genevieve too. I absolutely hate "Love it or List It".
There's nothing like a House Hunters marathon on a rainy day.
We just bought a house, and got cable for the first time, and now I am watching way too much HGTV. I love the renovation shows, because I have no imagination for things like that but I wish I did. Anyway, while I am surprised to hear that David of Love it or List it is married with children, since I figured they were both gay (they do that promo spot in which they say people actually think they are married to each other, and that would "never work, never!"), I guess I haven't wondered it about most of the people because I don't care.... But I would like to clarify that not being able to find the right person does not automatically mean gay. It could also mean picky or difficult or damaged or unlucky or busy or cautious or uncompromising or choosy or...anything, really. Anything. So, best wishes to whoever it is and I hope he eventually finds someone to share his path (unless he prefers to be alone).
HGTV??
ReplyDeleteDo not watch HGTV.
ReplyDeleteHGTV? I will call my mom for this one....
ReplyDeleteHGTV? I will call my mom for this one....
ReplyDeleteLMAO NEEEEXT
ReplyDeleteOk seriously HGTV BI?!!? Uhm slow gossip day?!?!
What is HGTV?
ReplyDeleteOne of those twins
ReplyDeleteEither of the Property Brothers

DeleteNot the twins!
ReplyDeleteI don't even think we get HGTV
ReplyDeleteThe Property Bros are Canadian lmao---they seem so douche. TWINNING!
ReplyDeleteI luuuurrrve them!
DeleteI always think those guys seem too pretty for the work they're supposed to be doing.
DeleteI googled and saw some guy who pinged my gaydar on a show called Dream house so I will go with him
ReplyDeleteI think it stands for Home and Garden TV? Maybe? My mom watches it I think. House hunting and shit like that.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my new book: Fifty Greys in the Shade: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/445321

DeleteFSP yer making me hungry. Now google image mucoid plaque.
DeleteDefinitely one of The Property Brothers. Which ever one who always wears the suit and doesn't do the manual labor. :-) Both are hot and should have no problem finding a date. In fact I will take one for the team and go out with both of them. ;-)

ReplyDeleteAfter looking at some hosts, I'm going with Scott McGillivray of Income Property.
ReplyDeleteHe's recently married, i think.
Delete@Unknown- LOL there goes my gaydar.
DeleteNot to suggest that one who is married can't also be in the closet, I just assume that it would take him out of the dating pool. ;-)
DeleteIt's an honest mistake, he was my guess. He's too pretty to be straight
DeleteScott and his wife have a baby. Doesn't fit this blind at all.
DeleteYou guys get those Canadian house shows? lol...I don't mind love it or list it but it is soooo contrived
ReplyDeletethe shows are total bullshit and phony but i love them anyway because i'm very nosy and love looking at what other people do to their houses.
ReplyDeleteYep, some are total BS. But I really like the ones where it looks like they do actual work: income property, Candace Olson, Genevieve, kitchen cousins. House hunters is total BS, but I still watch.
DeleteNo FSP! The last time you had me look at a waffle I couldn't breath without my inhaler for an hour....
ReplyDeleteNicely played. Noire should post an hourly rate and 800 number.
Scott M. is married and has been for a while, as is David from Love It or List It, and both have kids. I vote for Jonathan Scott.
ReplyDeleteI watch HGTV but when do they talk about their private lives? Never. I'll throw Vern Yip into the mix. Oh wait, that bearded guy that renovates places with a mix of old cast of finds and his eclectic handmade woodwork and painting.
ReplyDeleteHe's a good looking bear with a beard. ROAR!
Vern is gay and partnered, and they have adopted a couple of kids. I probably watch too much HGTV - don't judge me, 😄.
Delete@Bignoise. I love Vern so much. Since the first time I saw him on Trading Spaces. I would let him redo my house and take his word of it that it was things great and wonderful. Even if he hung goldfish from my dining room ceiling.

It AIN'T Mike Holmes. But that would be kind of neat.
ReplyDeletePeople will come out when they are ready.
ReplyDeleteLiberace used to say the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI wish my brother George were here?
DeleteBased on what you guys are saying it does seem like Jonathan Scott. What about the Love it or List It Too? They film in Vancouver and a former Bachelor contestant is the female designer. Maybe that guy but probably Jonathan Scott.
ReplyDeleteBTW-Scott McGillivray is a national treasure.
I would want to say Scott McGillivray too because his cute level is off the charts. I think he tweets a lot about the wife and kids though so that doesn't fit the blind.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Mike Holmes? He's always seemed gay to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Not the twins. Drew is dating an Asian looking girl who travels w them, and Jonathan is divorced, but dates.
ReplyDeleteIt is 100% the property brother who does the "work"
ReplyDeleteI have a Torontion. Jonathon Scott is divorced, yes, but like the blind says, he is in the closet.
ReplyDeleteBut at least it's a nice walk-in...
DeleteThere's a reason I call it Hey Gurl TV
ReplyDeleteLove all the HGTV shows, but alas, I am old and spend a lot of time renovating old properties. Scott MacGillivery lives in my hometown and is married with at least one kid. ReplyDeleteWho's the hot guy that hangs out at home improvement stores asking people to take him home? Yard Crashers?

ReplyDeleteJonathan Scott, for sure.
ReplyDeleteAnthony Carino - one of the Kitchen Cousins - the other just got married.
ReplyDeleteScott McGillrey is married into a HUGE Italian family.
ReplyDeleteThe real estate shows are real in that it is real people buying properties, but the properties have already been bought by the time they film. ReplyDeleteGee. .new phone. The houses shown are comps to the property they bought.
DeleteFriends here in Toronto filmed love it or list it- they shoot both endings and use whichever one the editing department decides on.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Julianne ... I think they're adorable! Handsome, nice & talented! Love that show :)
ReplyDeleteit's one of the brothers, the carpenter who can cook and clean
ReplyDeleteOf all the "crasher" shows my favorite is the Bathroom Crasher guy - sooo cute. Hopefully not him!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with how much knowledge you all have of HGTV!!
ReplyDeleteMore POI to add:
ReplyDeleteThe House Hunter shows are also completely fake. The people have already purchased the home before filming, then the research team finds "similar" homes for sale to go film at, no one on the show actually helps people find houses.
I hope this person realizes no one cares. Just be who you are!
ReplyDeleteDavid Bromstead of course
ReplyDeleteLove the Property Brothers so Enty thanks for the HGTV blind! Going with Jonathon Scott for this one but I would still do him if I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteA friend of ours told me they film 2 endings for Love it or List it too, because too many of the families decide to "Love it", so they have to make the occasional one list it. Her neighbours were on the show.

I like the HGTV show where they choose one out of three houses to buy, especially the international version but I can't think of the name.
ReplyDeleteI think it's the realtor property brother too.
ReplyDeleteThat show is all fake--they use local contractors and designers and they just show up to do the filming.
I saw them on some talk show and the contractor one was really a stage magician before they did this show.

ReplyDeleteI was going to say Scott from Income Property, he's in denial imo. I bet its the real estate brother on Property Brothers.
ReplyDeleteI think it's one of the kitchen cousins.
ReplyDeleteBromstad makes no effort to hide that he's gay.
I always thought Mike Holmes was gay but he's not. He has his daughter on (not that that means anything).

There's nothing like a House Hunters marathon on a rainy day.
I'll stop now.
Oh, I forgot about Sarah. She and Tommy are GREAT. Funny, smart and great designers. They sound so unscripted.
DeleteAnthony Carrino of Kitchen Cousins pings my gaydar big time. He's utterly adorable in a rough-hewn young Clooney sort of way.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it could be either of those Property Brothers twin guys, but who cares? They're annoying as hell.
He is supposed to be living with Genevieve Gorder.
DeleteWe just bought a house, and got cable for the first time, and now I am watching way too much HGTV. Jonathan totally pings my gaydar. He's the contractor brother on Property Brothers.
ReplyDelete@BigNoise When you say "he is living with Genevieve Gorder" do you mean Jonathan Scott?
ReplyDeleteUrge I love the brothers, I want to punch Genevieve....
ReplyDelete
