Blind Item #10

This former A+list mostly television actor from a very hit network show now does a strange television show and even stranger movies and is probably down to a B list. It would be lower but anyone who remembers his show will always consider him A list so it averages out. A few months ago he ran into a former (twice very brief) co-star and ended up sleeping with the daughter of the co-star.

  8. My idea of strange is different from others. I find Honey Boo Boo to be very normal and delightful yet Glee scares the crap outta me....

  9. Kyle McLachlan guests regularly on Portlandia.

  10. Portlandia is just boring. I miss Models Inc. ....

He was big back in the day. Dune? Blue Velvet? And while strange, TP was Really popular.

  17. Twin Peaks was amazeballs at the time. My grown children still recite lines occasionally.
    I really messed them up.

  18. Nah Derek Ronnie was extremely fug. That's why he played the Beast in Beauty and the Beast he already looked like a gorilla.

  19. If it's Kyle then I say Rashida Jones, daughter of Peggy Lipton.

  20. Funny or Die is one of the strangest shows I've ever seen. Some of it's funny...but some of it is just so far out there.

  21. I don'T want to believe this is KM. It isays not he does even stranger movies. Does he still do strange movies?

  23. I don't think he's done anything unusually weird since Blue Velvet.

  24. Matt Leblanc? Strange show being Episodes (which is strange in a brilliant way). No idea who hookup would be.

  25. Not my Agent Cooper. Just...NO. I have no other guess, but I just can't believe this could happen in this or any other universe (where the Black Lodge might be).

  26. I find Hannibal very strange

    1. Wasn't he also in that time travel show? I can't think of the name of it but he traveled in time and had a fun wacky sidekick?
      OH! Quantum Leap!

    Josie & the Pussycats
Currently in The Exes on TV Land
Currently in production of Zach Braff's movie, last movie was called "Snow Globe Christmas" which just sounds weird.

Because Zack Braff isn't on tv right now dang it.

    1. Damn it I forgot about the daughter part of the BI.

  30. Charlie Sheen, heather locklear, and her underage daughter. Sick, I tell you! I got nothing on this one, really.

  31. No! Not Scott Bakula either! Except that most of it fits, eek. (Although I can't think of any "strange movies" that he's done, other than LORD OF ILLUSIONS. All the rest were pretty mainstream.)

  32. Or maybe Woody Harrelson, but he's doing better than B list.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kyle Maclachlan, co-Star Russ Tamblyn, daughter Amber Tamblyn...?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Does "Falling Skies" count as strange? How about Noah Wylie?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Km was also on sex and the city

  36. Michael Chiklis also fits this BI. He's about to start filming the new AHS series Freak Show and has only been in a few bad movies lately. I tried to make Alfre Woodard and Michael Richardson fit but other than her 1 episode of Seinfeld I can't seem to find a second brief co-appearance.

When I think strange I think Mr Bean but unfortunately Rowan isn't on tv right now.

TV shows that are classic and had tons of Emmys and stuff but unfortunately a ton of actors or guest stars:

    St Elsewhere
    The Wire
    The West Wing
    The Practice
    Scrubs
    Hill street Blues
    Oz
    Wings (also - strange)
    Northern Exposure (also - strange)
    Carnivals (also - strange)

Other female actresses with legal aged daughters who have a lengthy history of work and/or guest or starred on an lot of hit shows and therefore give tons of potential brief co-star parings:

    Marlee Matlin
    Alfred Woodard
    Gabrielle Anwar
    Joan Allen
    Patricia Richardson
    Theresa Saldana

    1. Ack! I forgot another excellent actress option: Joely Richardskn

Her daughter was in the news recently and Nip/Tuck had a ton of guest-stars. (Unfortunately neither actor from Nip/Tuck fits the current tv show angle - although based of "brief appearance" I didn't bother trying to match them to Joely

  37. DB Sweeney currently narrates "Mountain Men" but I can't find a tv show that he'd be A list on.

John Schneider could fit for Dukes of Hazard or Smallville but not really for the current strange tv show.

    Other things I thought of:
    MacGuyver

Bronson Pinoche (also did book audio reading for "Strangers on a train" so strange listed twice in his bio

    Strangers with Candy

French Stewart if 'Moms' is strange

    Bette Midler's daughter works too
