Trent Girone On Wheel Of Fortune

Most of the time when Wheel Of Fortune ends up on websites or blogs it is because someone had an epic fail or the revealed letters spell out something sexual. This week though it ended up in the news because producers cast Trent Girone to be one of the contestants. Trent is 21 and suffers from both Asperger's and Tourette syndrome. He did remarkably well on the show and, although he didn't win, the guy was just such a joy to watch and his joy at being on the show was uplifting. Trent called the day the best of his life and said that he has been watching the show since he was 2.

    I liked him. I knew the second word was cheese but I couldn't think of what the first was. Cream was so obvious but I didn't guess. I'm terrible at these types of word puzzles.

    Pat seemed very awkward around him.

    Mom always wanted me to be on Wheel of Fortune, there have been numerous times I've solved the puzzle before the first spin. The thing is, they repeat a lot of the puzzles so if you can recognize the amount of letter s and recall past episodes, you can do really well on them.

    But good for the kid. Show the world that being different isn't a curse, it's just being different than them.
