The thing about Mac & Cheese is that it only tastes good right after you make it. Kind of like french fries are only good when they are hot.

    1. I know. Sounds gross but it's soooooooooo good! Of course, I could bathe in ketchup because I'm high class like that.

    2. I learn something new every day, sugar! Would you like to be the meat in a HeisEnty sandwich? I'm sure Enty wouldn't mind if you crashed our date to the brewery. I could see you being especially handy when we will inevitably hijack a forklift full of kegs!

    3. I prefer lemon ricotta pancakes with warm blueberry sauce. I'm a high maintenance stoner, but my friends love all the baked goods I hand out :)

    4. I like high maintenance lemon ricotta pancakes too, Brea! I'm not picky!

      Also, anything with Peanut Butter.

Lady H - what is this brewery sandwich you speak of? I'd just roll the keg down the street. No fork lift needed!

    9. Oops...forgot the layer of tuna under the cheese.

      Don't say it, Count!

  4. Mac & Cheese holds up way better than French fries. Fuck. Now I really want mac & cheese. My favorite mac & cheese plate on the planet is Stone Brewery's. You should treat yourself sometime, Enty! We can drink Arrogant Bastard straight from the growler and disrupt their brewery tours!!!

  5. Nope, my homemade stuff is still good the next day with a splash of milk. Dang now I want to lick the cheese off the spoon.

  6. @calif, ditto. E's probably talking about Kraft dinners, which are disgusting after they've congealed.

OT ALERT: DM is calling baby North adorable in KimK's arms. She's a cutie, but I think "terrified" might be a better term.

Her little mini-me! Kim Kardashian carries adorable baby North as they wear co-ordinating outfits in Paris

Okay… I had a college housemate who never cleaned up after himself. After letting a plate of half eaten Mac and cheese sit on the counter for two days… We put it on his bed to make a point. He ate it. Haven't touched Mac and cheese since.

  12. Chinese food needs to be hot too. Once it goes cold it gets really greasy.

  13. The only way to edibly prepare leftover mac 'n cheese is on the stove top with a splash of water (or milk, like @blondy) and a handful of shredded or a slice of cheese you melt back into the mixture as it reheats.

I don't eat mac 'n cheese but I do look forward to my little taste tests for my 7-yr-old :p

  17. Who has leftover Mac & Cheese?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Peggy, I was just thinking of that! And the other way around, we had an older girl in our "group", she slept with all the younger dudes, and while we thought it was kinda gross, we never considered her a pedophile. She was 19-20, the boys were 13 and 14. I can honestly say that I doubt very much any of our parents thought it was anything other than gross either. Certainly not prosecutable.

    1. I don't think it will go anywhere and I think it was probably fairly innocent but I LOVE that Will & Jada will have to answer for it. Makes me LOL.

  19. Reheat it with a dash or two of cream. Stovetop, not microwave. Stir over low heat until warmed through.

And may as well throw in a little extra cheese while you're at it.

  20. @Gayeld.. Waste not, want not :p

    @Peggy.. yes you can!

  21. Mac and cheese is nasty. I don't know why people love it so. And I'm definitely not a picky eater.

  22. Lady Heisenberg I am in love with you now..Happy? LURVE Arrogant Bastard Ale.

Oopsy..Damn skippy southern mac and cheese holds up.

I put mayo in mine. I know. Gross. But makes it a little fluffy..Wanna keep the sauce from breaking when you reheat? Make it with a little vodka. No breakage. And reheat with some cream. If you're worried about calories, I do not recommend you eat my Mac & Cheese. If you want tasty I'll set a place at the table for ya.

    I like Gayeld's attitude!

Knock off Stone Beer & Cheese recipes are everywhere! You can come too, Sherry! I don't think sugar gets down with the gargoyle.

Fun fact: I met John Leguizamo at Stone Brewery. He is rad as fuck.

    2. @Sherry. To my great surprise, the microwavable Kraft is the best thing EVER. I think it's because they don't mess it up with 2% or non-fat milk or margarine.

Not that I don't enjoy the occasional SpongeBob or Scooby-Doo shaped morsel.

  23. Uuuuuuuuuuu knnnnnwwww u luv it! (Actually Kraft is for kids). Homemade or the new age pubs make it killer, with crusty, cheesy, baconeee clumps in more melted cheddar with creamy cheese sauce and some noodles. IT ROCKS FOR A WEEK TO FOLLOW. fries - a big fat noooo, but I'll still eat em the next day, esp if I have a "headache".

  30. That's only true about the boxed kind. Make it homemade sometime and it's amazing the next day!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I completely agree.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Noooo. Totally disagree! I need my cheese set up and a bit congealed-at least when taking about REAL mac & cheese. I won't go near that totally inexcusable boxed stuff! (Well, maybe the white cheddar Annie's but only in an extreme situation. Ha.)

  33. I will say the absolute best mac 'n cheese I've ever had in my life was at Regatta Pub at Salem Waterfront Hotel.

Fresh local lobster.. buttery breadcrumbs.. I want to say a hint of bacon.. I tried to link the menu item but my browser only said, "Aw, Snap!" and didn't produce the page

    1. Becky, I'm so freakin excited about Adore and Bianca coming to Australia!! I don't care if I have to go alone, but I'm making the trip to Brisbane to see them and hopefully get to make out with Adore. Her lips are just so lush! What state are you in?

  40. What.the.sam.hill was Jinxk wearing??? And I loved the wedding! Chas Bono looked to be allll dude, too. Usually I can see a bit if Chastity, but that is no longer the case

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jinx looked like one of those dolls your grandma would put over the spare toilet rolls to disguise them in the bathroom!

Agree Chaz is all man these days, god love him!

  42. I was allll about Adore to start, but about 5 minutes in I realized she really is a singer that likes to dress is drag. And Courteney makes SUCH a beautiful woman. Like hot. But not really drag either. ..so I went with the mouth that walks like a drag queen, my spirit animal Bianca

    ReplyDelete
  43. And she is from NOLA, my second and spiritual home!!

If I was ranking I would say Courtney came second and Adore third. I have a feeling Adore puts on a mad show whereas Courtney is more cabaret. Courtney kinda annoyed me how she went in about how successful she is in Australia. I mean, she is well known but she's no Kylie Minogue!

The most famous Aussie drag queen is Dame Edna Everage....but she's sadly retired...she'd give Bianca a run for her money that's fo sho!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Of course Dame Edna!!

I was surprised to see Alaska brought out for just a second, and I didn't even see Detox whatsoever. What.the.hell was April Carrion wearing??? AND bull ring??

  44. I hate mac and cheese. *ducks* And I love cold fries, but never from McDonald's (those are only edible hot).

  45. Oh and no Sharon Needles either? Mind you she was pretty prominent in last week's ep as "Michelle Visage" so I doubt there's much shade there.

I wanted Vivacious to go further but I have a soft spot for her era of the Club Kids. Have you seen 'Paris Is Burning' TTM?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Wasn't Sharon Needles the Michelle Visage commentator?? With all the bewbs? I was sure that was her.

I haven't seen it, I don't think, most of my knowledge of club kids is "Party Monster" and a documentary on Michael Alig. It looked like it was a stage play? Must to Google

      Delete
    2. Ooh, I can't believe I haven't! I will have to see where I can find it

      Delete
    3. TTM, I'm pretty sure Paris is Burning is on Netflix. I remember adding it to my watch list a while ago. I hope it's still there. I absolutely love Party Monster and can't get enough of drag culture at the moment, so I'm hoping PIB will be as good as I've heard.

      Delete
  46. Yep, Sharon was the fake Visage.

Oh "Paris is Burning" is fantastic! When you watch it you will see where Ru gets most of her Drag Race schtick from like "Shantay you stay" and "Sashay away". Plus there is a queen interviewed in her house who, after she died, they found a dead body in her closet that had been there for decades!

You can torrent it on Pirate Bay, that's how I got it years ago. Not very many of them are alive now :(

    ReplyDelete
  47. No shade to Ru for plagiarising either BTW, she is very open about how much PIB and that era influenced Drag Race...

  48. Au Contraire. French fries picked out of the car carpet months later are quite good. They don't degrade, which is probably a warning sign right there.

  49. Fries, as well as pizza, are easily re-edible at 400 for 10 minutes in the pre-heated oven or a few minutes more in a non pre-heated oven :p

  50. I don't mind day old mac n cheese but never ever leftover steak, salmon, any fish, salad that has the dressing on it, rotissere chicken you get from the grocery store, a sandwich with mayonnaise, pot roast, an open can of soda, melted cheese, fried onions, half of a banana. That is all.

  51. @Iwinjen.. remember how your mom told you about Santa Claus.. and the Easter Bunny..

well. she may have unintentionally concealed something equally amazing under similar but opposite premises.

I'm talking about 'leftover steak, salmon, any fish, salad that has the dressing on it, rotissere chicken you get from the grocery store, a sandwich with mayonnaise, pot roast, an open can of soda, melted cheese, fried onions, half of a banana'
