Off Topic

Canada has a three day weekend today. The US has one upcoming. I think every weekend should be a three day weekend. I think we would all be able to suffer through a four day work week and not complain for at least a year, maybe two.

  6. Yaaaaaaaaay Dragon! Grats

Lowkey, I would take that schedule as well, if for no reason than to look forward to those glorious 3 days off. As long as you can adjust your sleep schedule to enjoy it :)

  7. My ex used to work for a place that had 9/80 options for getting in 80 hours per paycheck, so he had every other Friday off. It was kind of nice.

    1. Just curious what would you do if you ran into someone from work on their lunch? This fear keeps me stuck inside house when I call I sick. My supervisor has admitted to driving by my house. Saw me shovelling snow this winter too but I had a bad cold still has to be done!

  16. Nothing wrong with that Lil, as you say it had to be done. I would think your boss would have better things to do than check up on someone who didn't want to make everyone else sick.
Lunch? Well uhhhh maybe you are picking it up for your uncle. You know, the one who needs a kidney.

  17. Years ago worked in a factory that manufactured leaf and coil springs for the Big 3. We had 12 hour shifts, from 6 to 6, with one week of 3 days on and 4 days off followed by a week of 4 days on and 3 days off. Sometimes it was a bitch to stay awake on the night shift but overall pretty much everybody liked it.

  18. ..better yet you can say you were at the bookstore, picking up the latest Stuart MacBride novel.
It helps the kidneys, those booksies.

  19. This, Enty, is an amazing idea. Americans work too much and need a day off from all the parties, graduations, weddings, baseball games, and other annoyances that get jammed into Saturdays and Sundays.

  28. Seven day weekends aren't as exciting as you'd think they'd be. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?
