  8. I wouldn't be surprised if Tori and Dean stage something in an elevator now for publicity.
Elevator footage is the new sex tape.

  11. Now, everyone who wants attention will be doing things on elevators, in the hope the video will make its way to the public.

Not to mention all the wanna-bes who will now stage all sorts of things on elevators in the hope of becoming famous.

Also, the countdown to a TV series consisting of nothing but elevator video begins now.

  12. A security guard will be fired at the Standard (maybe several including a supervisor). I hope they got paid$$$ for giving the footage to TMZ.

  13. From a privacy standpoint, I don't really mind elevator footage as much as I mind the release of the recordings of private phone calls. I think when you're talking one-on-one to a friend, you have the expectation of privacy. When you're in public, even when you're in a little box in public, you don't.

Which is not to say I've never scratched myself or done other unseemly things in an elevator.

    1. @count you know, I'm often confused by attitudes like yours, you spend a lot of time on this site talking about who you want to fuck up the ass and what porno sites you like and sex sex sex, but then you make these comments (and have an avatar) that imply that women who like sex are 'skanks'. Which is it? Sex good or sex bad? Only you may enjoy sex? What?

  15. I assume the second I walk out my front door that I'm on a camera somewhere (even if it's the NSA). As for conversations, yes, I think you have the right of privacy, although didn't Sterling admit he knew the conversations were recorded? In that case, it IS legal, although extremely disgusting, to release these recordings. I still think it was a case of blackmail gone bad.

  19. There are cameras everywhere, which you may find upsetting, but most of us arent snorting, screwing, hitting or hurting people so nbd.

  22. You always have to assume you're being monitored, elevator or elsewhere. Street light cameras & CCTV will get what the paps cannot. Technology be crazy. If anything, I'm surprised how long this story was suppressed for...

  24. I've always been very aware of Big Brother in any elevators. So I've always deferred my nose picking to the obscurity of the street. Where it now can be captured on multiple surveillance cameras. :)

  25. @missy prissy: Really, it is just a fun adjective.

If you want a deeper explanation, all women who enjoy sex aren't skanks, but women who blow celebs in elevators have a high likelihood of being skanky.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I don't have a problem w/ Skanks, Sluts, or Whores. I have been friendly with many and may have partaken with a few. Also, I have no problem being called a Pig, Pervert or Creep. Generally I smile and say, "Yeah" to myself when I read it.

  26. @Count, for what it's worth, I appreciate an open, honest, real person, such as you are. Hate this saying, but, you are true to yourself. I admire people like that. Plus you're fun in you're unique Count way and you love your kid like crazy.

I can say that about most people on here.

Fake is boring, celebrity gossip is digging through the layers of the fake and revealing that genuine person.

Sometimes we like that genuine person more, and sometimes we can't stand them - because they can't stand themselves. It's an interesting social non-interaction. Would I enjoy intaracting with a celebrity, not at all. I'd rather give them their space and me mine. Wouldn't trade lives for anything.

  27. Thank you, Dingle.

What it really boils down to is that I don't care enough to be fake, online or in real life. It certainly isn't always a good thing, but being full of shit is too much hassle.

  32. I've ALWAYS known that elevators carry video cameras. Even my apt building does. I find it hard to believe that they didn't realize that there is a camera in every NYC hotel.
